Happy Birthday in Heaven Pete

Hi everyone. Today is a special day as it would have been Pete’s birthday ( Timmy Tomcat’s Dad). Our friends at Wonderfpurr came up with a sweet idea to all post a link to one of our favorite posts of his blog. I had a tough time choosing because I enjoyed every post. I decided on Rumpy’s Pirate Day Birthday for many reasons. First, Rumpy was a favorite of mine. I had hoped to adopt him, but I am happy to know all 4 kitties are with one person and doing well. Second,  Pete knew how to celebrate Pirate Day and birthdays. He went all oiut with the graphics. And lastly, it features the octopus he won from one of our giveaways.  🙂   Click here.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww..Monday and Mewsic Monday hosted by Cathy, MarieStacy,  and Alana, This week is choose your own theme so I am tying it to Pete.

The words don’t all fit, but I will Remember You Pete.

  1. Sarah Mclachlan- I Will Remember You:

2. Billy Joel- Only The Good Die Young:

3. And for the rest of us- Tim McGraw- Live Like You Were Dying:

  1. Beautiful post for Pete. He absolutely had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever known. Always lending a hand in any way he could. His love for his cats was so HUGE as was his heart when it came to helping anyone in need.

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  2. That was a good post in memory of Pete. He was a very good man and is very much missed.
I put my link in my post last Friday.

  3. A beautiful tribute to Pete and I am glad his kitties are doing well. ❤️ Sadly, I didn’t know, Pete, but what a beautiful kitty blog he had.

  4. Ellen,

What a beautiful mewsical tribute for Pete! At first I didn’t think I knew this kitty when I learned the news from Sandee but then it clicked when I visited here. I don’t know why but it did. Anyway, I’m very sorry to read about the mews. I must hop over to TimmyTomCat’s blog to leave a message. Thanks for sharing these lovely song picks on the dance floor, my dear. Stay warm, keep safe, and be well. Have a boogietastic week!

    1. Gee, I’m having such a horrible time this morning. I’m really brainless. Pete isn’t the kitty but the blog author. Good grief, can I mess things up anymore. Oh WOW! The bloggy tribute is a lovely idea. I didn’t know Pete but he manage to stop by my place a handful of times last year. As Billy Joel’s song goes, “Only Good Die Young”. Blessings and prayers to those who loved him best! RIP, Pete!

  6. We are so happy to hear that the four kitties are all together still. Do you know where? We loved the post you selected. Pete was a master of doing graphics. And the songs were great as well. The Sarah M. song is one of our mom’s favorites. It warms our hearts that so many are remembering Pete today. He was a great man! 1. Thank you. Yes, I worried about Rumpy with his asthma. And my mom wanted to adopt Einstein and another blogger wanted Miss Fitz and Toby, but it was for the best they all got to stay together. XO

  8. That really was special for Dad Pete, you choice of post and the tunes were purrfect. Thanks for letting me know that his kitties are okay, I appreciate it.

  9. All these wonderful tribute posts to Dad Pete are wonderful.
I would like to add another musical tribute – one thatreminds me of when my 20-year-old Snarky went OTRB ; Never Alone by Lady A.

  10. What a beautiful tribute to Dad Pete. We were so sad to learn that he had passed. We are glad his kitties are being taken care of and can stay together though.

  11. O, Ellen, you don’t know half how relieved we are to hear that the kitties have a furrever home. That is wonderful news💗 That was a lovely post and heartwarming too. You choosed beautiful songs for the occassion too. Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to all of you🐾😽💞

  12. Great post! Pete even reached up here into Canada and touched our hearts. Mom would frequently talk with Einstein’s dad and have a jolly good laugh with him.
The songs that you chose brought me to tears…..they were so applicable. Thanks for pulling some more memories out. Big hugs.
