Happy 4th of July!

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful to live in the USA and thankful to all who have kept us free and continue to do so.

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo:

While many are out on a warm summer night ,
I prefer to stay inside and avoid a mosquito bite.
Enjoy those fireworks,
I will be dreaming of winter’s perks.
Warm weather may make plants grow,
but I much prefer the cold and snow.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  5. A blessed and beautiful Independence Day to you and yours!

While i am not a huge fan of being very cold, i do not like excessive heat either, so i won’t be outdoors celebrating today. The A/C is my friend.

    Thanks for the fill-ins!

  6. Happy Fourth to all of you. Love the pictures. We are very lucky in that I don’t think we are going to have any fireworks around here. You all have a great day.

  7. Great patriotic shots here and I love your poem.

I’m all ready for tomorrows fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Independence Day. ♥

  8. Great photos. So festive!
And I love your poem—so much I can relate to 🙂

    Happy 4th of July!

  9. I still love summer, even though I won’t go to the fireworks because of mosquitoes!! Happy 4th! (and don’t worry…summer will be over before we know it…LOL)

  10. We hope you all had a happy and safe 4th of July that didn’t include too many booming fireworks! All of you patriotic models are cuter than cute. And your poem is fantastic!

  11. Lulu: “Happy belated Fourth of July!”
Charlee: “I’m not sure that even makes sense. How can you have a belated Fourth of July?”
Lulu: “Umm … Happy belated Independence Day?”
    Chaplin: “Better.”
