Joanie is posing with my collection of Grumpy Cat stuffed animals to pay tribute to her.
I am a day late for Sabi Saturday, but here is my entry. (Sabi Saturday is a hop where you show something old, repurposed or upcycled. I wish more bloggers would join this fun hop.)
I recently showed you a war ration book and cookbook to go with it. This is another item that was in the box with my great aunt’s photo collection.
0MC…green stamps. Mom’s mom collected them and then so did Mom. A great way to get household items. Wow, that’s a lot of Grumpy Cats, Joanie. We don’t have even one. Mom says some of us are grumpy enough. MOL Very sad that, like Crockett, her life was cut short. Thanks for hopping. We’re so sad that Grumpy was needed at the Bridge. She brought so much joy to so many lives, and will be greatly missed.
My mom told me about those green stamps. Hop cool that your Great Aunt had that in her photos!
She will be missed by all. XO
Wow, you sure have a lot of little Grumpy’s! We gave ours a big hug when we heard about her becoming an angel.

Aww, that is a lovely tribute from Joanie, for a much loved and missed feline star. That catalogue sure is telling of the style of things, and I bet quite fun to look through, too.

I remember collecting green stamps and got a lot of different things with them.
You have a big collection of Grumpy Cats. I was sad that she went to the Bridge at too early an age.
Very sad.
It was so sad to learn of Grumpy Cat becoming an Angel this week – she was so young but had medical problems so we are hoping she’s resting at the Bridge now. My Mom remembers Green Stamps and collecting them to get stuff when the books were redeemed!

I was shocked that a seven-year-old feline died of a UTI. My rescued cat recovered from several over the last months and must be twenty now. Neat catalog. Be well!

Most of the stores around here had Top Value Stamps, which were yellow, instead of the S&H Green Stamps, but the idea was great, i’m sorry those things no longer exist.

S & H Green stamps! We redeemed lots of them way back when, and I even worked at a merchandise store for awhile.
I’ll think about joining in the Sabi Saturday, as I do have lots of old things I could show. 🙂
