Friendly Fill-Ins Week 521

Hi everyone. Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I would be willing to pay more for ________________________.
2. I refuse to spend money on ______________________.
3. My _________ is a bit chaotic.
4. A fun fact about me is that _________.
My answers:
1. I would be willing to pay more for a veterinarian that made house calls.
2. I refuse to spend money on beverages when I go out to eat. We drink water at home so I am fine with water wherever I go. Exception is breakfast– must have coffee. 🙂
3. My brain is a bit chaotic. It is like I have a bunch of open tabs on my computer, but in my brain worrying about my mom moving back home, trouble with my hubby’s relatives holding up the estate and trying to make sure all our cats are healthy and have vet care.
4. A fun fact about me is that I collect Potato Heads. Most of you know that already.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from May 2019. Angel Joanie was checking out my Grumpy Cat collection.

  1. I got your book today, Thank you! It’s a cute read!
Joanie looks cute surrounded by all the Grumpy Cats!

    1. I would be willing to pay more for just about anything if the quality and ingredients (of consumables) were better and healthy..
    2. I refuse to spend money on Hmmm…LOL!
    3. My household is a bit chaotic.
    4. A fun fact about me is that I collect military drummers, of all sizes and shapes, most are nutcrackers. There are over 300 of them! And some of the tiny ones represent real regiments. I started collecting those in my 20’s when I found out that my 5x great grandfather was a drummer in a Dutch army regimant. He would have been in his teen years; and called a tambour, which is French.A very different thing from when i used to collect mushrooms!! (Not the edible kind…)

    1. Glad you like the book. Thank you for these great answers. I knew you collected drummers. You should show us some on your blog. XO

  2. Fun answers, and such a cute picture of Angel Joanie, I just love those Grumpy Cat stuffed animals! XO

  3. ANYONE who collects Potato Heads is OKAY WITH US!!!! And yes, a vet who makes house calls would be brilliant!

  4. Thanks for another fun fll-in Friday. Love your answers – hope the family cooperates so the estate issues can be settled finally. I’ve often thought it would be GREAT if a vet around here would make housecalls – wrestling Teddy into the car is just about impossible! Sending you hugs and again thanks so much for thinking of me……..

    Love, Pam (and Teddy too)

  5. We had a mobile vet and she retired, however, she recommended another mobile vet, which we will go with. Actually, their fees aren’t more than other vets, and it’s much easier on Callie. That’s a sweet pic of Angel Joanie with your Grumpy Cat collection.

    1. The one we used to have was reasonable, but since Covid they only do euthanasia. Thank you. xo

  6. Don’t eat out much, but I always get water unless it is a really bitter cold day. Then I’ll break down and have hot tea. Love the Grumpy Cats posing with the sweet Angel Joanie!

  7. We have local vets that make house calls and it’s pricey. It makes more sense with multiple cats though and no hassle on your part.

  8. Loved your and everyone else’s answers. This is a feature I totally enjoy. This time I can only answer a few I think.
I too would pay more to get a traveling Vet. They are much more expensive but it makes a difference. Had one years ago but she was overwhelmed with business and quit.
I refuse to spend money on TV ad stuff. And Face Book ad stuff..always a rip off and from China where the merch is very poor and takes over a month on its slow boat from there. Learned the hard way.

  9. Good answers! I wish there were more mobile vets. We have one in our area but I’ve never used them. They mostly do vaccine clinics and things like that at local businesses.

  10. Ellen,

I will share my fill-ins on Monday. 🙂

We drink soft drinks rarely at home or on the go. We don’t need the calories and they just don’t taste as good as when we were younger. When dining out, if we order anything to drink it is coffee. I will order bottled water, if that’s available. I don’t like water straight out of the tap because I hate the taste of chlorine. I wish restaurants used a filtering system to help remove it. We have an under sink filter, as well as a Brita pitcher that gives twice the filtering and really makes the water taste clear. We drink water all the time!

Have a good and safe Memorial weekend! xo

    1. I look forward to your answers. We are lucky to have a well. I hope you have a nice long weekend too. XO

  11. 1. I would be willing to pay more for quality items. I do believe that you get what you pay for.
    2. I refuse to spend money on traveling. We used to go, go and go, but with our kitties we are staying home with them.
    3. My worrying about things is a bit chaotic. I know that worrying won’t help, but I worry anyway.
    4. A fun fact about me is that I have a twisted sense of humor.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I agree with you on getting what you pay for and staying home with the kitties. That is the only place I want to be. XO

  12. Will skimp on stuff for myself, so the cats can have the best care.
However, I will question the vet sometimes, because they tend to go overboard.

  16. Ellen, I love that you collect Potato Heads and that Joanie is surrounded by Grumpy Cats! I don’t think Joanie was ever grumpy though. She had her Gremmie.

  18. I’m with you on the water and coffee.
