Hi everyone. Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.
1. I don’t _____________, but I appreciate those that do.
2. Lately, I can’t get enough ___________________.
3. _________ scared me away from _________.
4. _________ forced me to learn how to _________.
My answers:
1. I don’t flash my lights to warn others of police with radar, but I appreciate those that do.
2. Lately, I can’t get enough of Subway’s baja chicken protein pockets. They are so yummy, filling and only $3.99
3. Watching the movie Salem’s Lot when I was 10 scared me away from vampire movies forever.
4. My mom forced me to learn how to drive. I did not want to learn how to drive at 16, but she insisted and I am glad she did.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi
My flashback is from March 2021, Angel Joanie was dressed as Queen Esther for the Jewish holiday of Purim.

Cute pic of Angel Joanie. She looked adorable. I’ll have to try the Subway Baja chicken. It sounds good.
Thank you. 🙂 It is good, but I have them hold the jalapenos. XO
Darling picture of Angel Joanie! XO
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Lovely photo of Angel Joanie. Good fill ins. I have the book Salem’s Lot, but Dracula by Bram Stoker was the first vampire book I read.
Thank you. 🙂 Did you watch the Twilight movies? XO
I can’t see my comments until later, so don’t remember if I said Angel Joanie looked lovely as Queen Esther.
Yes, you did. Sorry the comments don’t show up right away. XO
Angel Joanie made for a great Queen Esther!
I didn’t learn to drive until I was 25! Imagine that! And a lot of my relative, Mother included did not know how to drive…
Scary movies have always been *stay away* for me…even tv shows.
1. I don’t play the piano, but I appreciate those that do.
2. Lately, I can’t get enough sleep, sometimes it’s hard to ‘turn off my head’ esp when I know I have to get up early for something..
3.Falling down and almost breaking my ankle scared me away from downhill skiing, when someone was trying hard to teach. me…but I did like cross country skiing, and I still have my skis, but haven’t used them in years, because I don’t have the boots any longer to fit into the skis!
4. Having a hubby and (sons who were very tech minded even as young boys), forced me to learn how to use a computer, which eventually led to being here with blogging…and it also sort of forced me into learning how to make the images I make for others, I was doing that for several years before starting to blog.
Thank you. 🙂 Two of my dad’s sisters did not drive. Thanks for these great answers. I tried downhill skiing once and kept falling so I stuck to snow shoes after that. It is hard to turn off a brain at bedtime. XO
WOW downhill skiing….learning to drive….learning computers….so many interesting fills today! Thank you for reminding us about Purim.
Yes, there were a lot of interesting answers. XO
Thanks again for the filling in fun every week…..we look forward to them even if sometimes we “come up empty” for a word or sentence to fill-in with!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Thank you. I always enjoy your answers. XO
I learned to drive when I was 16 because of the class in high school. However my father would not let me get my driver’s license until I graduated high school at age 17 and got a full-time job first! I was lucky I got hired by someone who lived close to my grandmother’s I could stay with her and ride the bus to work until I got my license.
It is good there was a class. Sounds like your dad was strict. XO
Sweet picture of Angel Joanie. Subway’s baja chicken protein pockets sound yummy, and I have to try one. I learned to drive at 17 when I graduated from high school.
Thank you. 🙂 They are tasty- I ask them to hold the jalapenos though. That is pretty young. XO
Angel Joanie was adorable. Mom’s mom wouldn’t LET her get her license until she could get her own car!!!
Thank you. 🙂 That was mean of her.
I have to try those baha chicken things. I’m tired of getting my usual at Subway. Need a change.
They are tasty.
I learned to drive (illegally) at the age of 14. Man, I was a terror on wheels. The State I was in required the age of 17 to get a license, so it was a wait. I had, in the beginning, the dumbest way of keeping to my lane!! I finally quit that when I was 15 out so.
Angel Joanie looks precious her cape and crown. Have you read the story of Esther? She was brave.
WOW! That was young. Yes, we have. XO
1. I only learned how to do decorative sewing..the more complicated stitches of embroidery and needlepoint a little later on. No other things like crafting, No one to teach me. But I really appreciate those who do.
2. Lately I can’t get enough meaningful activity in. I allow a wastage of time at the computer.
3. My brother (when I was 5) scared me away from swimming forever after he swore he would hold me, but let me sink into the river. I had no idea what was going on while under water. He dragged me up and it scared me enough to stop me from learning to swim since.
4. A blank for #4. There are so many things I was forced to learn and do in my career.
Thank you for these great answers, but I am sorry your brother did that to you. I can’t do needlework or embroidery so I admire that you can. XO
Good answers! Angel Joanie was the purrfect queen.
Thank you. 🙂
“angel” Joanie made a furabulss ueen Estehr Aunty Ellen…wee nsoe how much you miss her….see was so speshell.

Thank you. Yes, she was very special. That is funny how we were affected differently. XO
BellaSita has allwayss liked Vampyress….go figure aunty Ellen??!!??
To each his own. 🙂 XO
Charlee: “How funny, that Salem’s Lot movie had pretty much the opposite effect on our Dada. He can’t get enough of those vampire movies! Except one called ‘The Forsaken’, he said that was so bad he turned it off, which if you know anything about our Dada tells you everything you need to know about that movie.”
Oona: “Oona is happy to see Angel Joanie appropriately crowned as a queen, since after all cats do rule the world.”
That is funny. As much as I love Nic Cage, I would not watch his vampire movie.
We have a break-light out on The Cat Car; it’s been out for awhile.
A dude on the road the other day told me my back lights were out when we were at a red light together; I said, “Thanks!”
He was driving one of the HUGE pickemuptrucks that dwarfs my little old Honda by about 3 times, and usually anyone driving one of those near my old clunker steer clear, like the rust from The Cat Car might jump across to their behemoths, but this guy was doing a good deed, and that was nice.
That was nice. You need to get it fixed before you get a ticket. XO
Ellen, I did not want to learn to drive either. I think I just had test aversion to everthing. I went on to love driving and I have a thing for cars… got it honest from my Dad. Jump in, turn the radio up! Sweet Joanie♥
My Fill-Ins~
1. I don’t blog anymore, but I appreciate those that do.
2. Lately, I can’t get enough Cheerios.
3. Covid scared me away from going out to eat but not anymore. We are careful though about seating and try to do outside dining.
4. Way back in the old days a retail job I wanted and loved forced me to learn how to make change. My Mom and SSNS taught me with Monopoly bills and a ton of change. Yes, in high school I had to take remedial math.
Happy Friday to the Meowing Crew and their Peeps!
Thank you for these great answers. That was a smart way to learn how to deal with money. I wish you still blogged. And I do crank up the radio when I drive. XO
I don’t like scary gory movies either
Hugs and Happy Friday to all
Cecilia

Those are really good answers and such a sweet flashback!
Thank you. 🙂
Cute photo and good answers.
Thank you. 🙂
Such great answers on the fill ins, Ellen. My Grandmother was about fifty five when she started to learn driving😺Glad you got it earlier😸Angel Joanie wasn’t only dressed like a queen, she was a Queen💖Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😙💞
Thank you. 🙂 I give her credit for learning even though she was older. XO
I’ve heard a lot of young people now don’t want to learn to drive and their parents have to insist. I couldn’t wait. To each his/her own, right?
Angel Joanie was a beautiful Queen Esther. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Angel Joanie looks so regal, a true queen! Pawesome fill-ins, and those kinds of scary movies are banned from BBHQ, not our cup of tea at all! Happy Sunday! 😻🐾👑🐾😻
Thank you. XO
