Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.
1. I will never eat __________ again.
2. I would like a taste of _______________.
3. I’m oddly fascinated by ________.
4. It would probably be wise if I _________, but I instead _________.
My Answers:
1. I will never eat a candy apple again. I was craving one of the red candy-coated apples so my hubby and I went to the fair in the next town over last Friday. I got one for $7 ( crazy) and it was awful. How did I used to like those things?
2. I would like a taste of Mexican street corn. It looks good.
3. I’m oddly fascinated by people who speak with the dead. I read a lot of books about them, and I like the show, The Long Island Medium. I truly believe some have that gift.
4. It would probably be wise if I stopped having a pop tart for breakfast, but I instead keep choosing that instead of something healthier.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from September 2021. The last birthday that Angels Joanie and Sammy shared. Sammy left me the following April and Joanie 2 years later.

Awww, sweet picture of Angels Joanie and Sammy. XO
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Sweet flashback of Angels Sammy and Joanie. I used to love candy apples as a child. We called them toffee apples and always had them when the funfair was in town.
Thank you. 🙂 I wonder if you would still like them now. 🙂 XO
Oh, so sad when kitties go to another place but so happy when they are out of pain. Mama feels bad that she made me travel in a car…..she would not do that again.
Some kitties don’t mind. My Friday traveled 3,000 miles to get to me and she enjoyed the ride. XO
Never had a candy apple – I do think they look irresistible though – I always wonder if the apple is actually tasty under that crunchy exterior though! I’ve never had a pop tart either but they look TASTY and easy to make. Happy Friday!!!!!!
Hugs, Pam
Don’t waste your time on the apple. I recommend the pop tart though. 🙂 XO
I haven’t eaten a candy apple in absolutely decades. Of course when I was young I thought they were terrific but I’m like you they’re not so good after all. Love the birthday photo.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
I had a candy apple once. I was a little girl, and we were bobbing for apples in a wash tub in the kitchen for Halloween. I never could catch one (no one could) and a candy apple was the surprise. It looked beautiful but the extreme sweetness of the candy coating against the natural taste of the apple was not pleasing. I never ate mine.
The apple was even awful on this one. I am praying for Katie. XO
Sweet flashback. Mom says candy apples make her teeth hurt. Mexican Street corn is yummy! Mom used to watch Long Island Medium too.
I want to try it. It is on again. 🙂
Candy apple: no
Caramel apple, with chocolate: yes please!
That sounds good. XO
1. I will never eat cilantro again. It ruined the entire dish for me.
2. I would like a taste of gelato. I love the coffee chocolate chip.
3. I’m oddly fascinated by how stupid people can be.
4. It would probably be wise if I ate less gelato, but I instead eat it way too often.
Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.
Have a fabulous Friendly Fill-Ins and weekend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥
Thanks for these great answers. I hate cilantro. The gelato sounds good. I used to like a chocolate one with shaved pieces of chocolate in it, but I can’t find it anymore. XO
Charlee: “Our Dada has never been into those red candy apples. but there’s a candy shop on Catalina Island that has apples covered in different kinds of chocolate and graham crackers and M&Ms and broken up Oreos and Reese’s and all kinds of other chocolate bars. He likes those a lot. Unfortunately you have to take a boat ride to get them.”
Chaplin: “He also likes a toaster pastry for breakfast now and then! They are Nature’s Path organic toaster pastries so I’m sure they don’t count as Pop-Tarts, Right? Right … ?”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, this comment is making me hungry!”
I am glad I don’t live near that place or I would be there all the time. 🙂
Sweet flashback of Angels Sammy and Joanie. I won’t eat candy apples because I am afraid they will ruin my teeth. For breakfast, I usually have cheerios with blueberries, or hubby’s delicious scrambled eggs.
Those sound like good breakfast choices. XO
Very cute flashback photo. Great fill ins…I like Mexican Street Corn. I haven’t had a candy apple in years. I used to like them. Now I’m afraid it will crack my teeth. LOL
Thank you. 🙂 I took it home and cut it up because I was afraid of that too. XO
The things we once liked are usually things we don’t care for any more. I liked the candied apples as a kid, too. I don’t think I would now. I much prefer caramel apples, especially with homemade caramels. That’s the best. I don’t dip mine because it’s just too messy, so I slice my apples into wedges to dip in the melted caramels. Works beautifully!
That is a good idea. 🙂
I haven’t ever had a candy apple—I was afraid I would crack my front teeth! I used to love pop tarts as a snack but not so much now. They don’t taste the same. The flash back of Angels Joanie and Sammy is so touching♥♥l
My Fill-Ins~
1. I will never eat TUNA again.
2. I would like a taste of Eggnog Creams from Fannie May Candies.
3. I’m oddly fascinated by the tiny AI kittens on Instagram that talk and have baby voices.
4. It would probably be wise if I did not eat Chef Boyardee meat ravioli, but instead I bought two cans and split it with SSNS. I have always loved it with a side of cottage cheese.
Enjoy your Friday, Meowing Crew and Peeps!
I took mine home and cut it up. Thanks for these great answers. That candy sounds good. I love canned ravioli- spashetti o’s too. XO
Caramel apples are better, but you have to make them yourself.
Your angels at their party are so precious. Sammy and Joanie were a dream team. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.
I agree. 🙂 Thank you. I miss them both. XO
Ellen I understand #4 completely. I think it is important to start off our day with something delicious.

Adorable photo! I’ve always thought candy apples look good but never had one because I would worry about my teeth LOL.
Thank you. 🙂 I took it home and cut it because I was afraid too. 🙂
Those were really good answers, fun ones too! Sweet flashback!
Thank you. 🙂
Cute photo. I haven’t had a candy apple since I was a kid. I remember my Mom making Carmel apples. They were good.
Thank you. I still like the caramel ones. 🙂 XO
Well done with the fill-ins. I’m with you, I can’t fathom what I liked about those red candied applies. Ick…too sweet and they tend to be problematic for any fillings or crowns.
What a precious flashback.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
