Friendly Fill-Ins Week 470

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I have trouble pronouncing ___________________.
2. I tend to confuse _____________ with _______________.
3. I quit _________ because _________.
4. Currently, I can’t get ________ out of my mind.
My answers:
1. I have trouble pronouncing conscious.
2. I tend to confuse Rusty with Rudy. Especially from the back end.
3. I quit teaching Catechism years ago because I didn’t truly believe all the things I had to teach. Don’t get me wrong, I still believe, but I don’t think God judges us for who we love.
4. Currently, I can’t get the void out of my mind. I am usually planning things or worrying about a loved one or cat, but lately it is like a void in there.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from May 2014, one of the first photos I ever posted on here. Angel Lucy was ready for Fleet Week.

  1. Angel Lucy made a great sailor!

    1. I have trouble pronouncing some of the words in English that are different here in the US as compared to when I was in Canada. And I still say melk for milk…that is Dutch…Sometimes I have to stop mid sentence to think of the Emnglish word I need because at home and even here in my house, I always use the Dutch word(s)…and then there are some of the things we call rickmar-speak, they are things our kids said that kind of stuck, LOL!
    2. I tend to confuse _____________ with _______________. Not sure what to say for this one???
    3. I quit taking music lessons because teachers for violin were very scarce in this town, and I didn’t want/need to do the Susuki method, though it is an ideal method for younfg children to learn instruments, esp piano and violin/mandolins..
    4. Currently, I can’t get some of the things going on at my workplace out of my mind…and I always have a hard time shutting the music off in my head so I can sleep…various hymns play in there over and over again; as well as phrases and fragments of music I hear on the radio. That can get annoying lovely as the tunes might be!

    1. Thank you. And thanks for these great answers. I am sorry work is having some problems. Interesting about the Dutch vs English words. XO

  2. Angel Lucy made a very adorable sailor! Thanks for the fill-ins as always – we take the opportunity to fill them in as a family and it’s tons of fun. We learn so much about everybody from filling in the blanks. Have a super duper Friday and weekend and thanks for hosting fill-ins.

    Love and Hugs, Teddy

  3. Loving Angel Lucy! Take advantage of the temporary quiet in the brain activity. I know what you mean and there is only 3 of us for me to take care of, lol. I keep a memo pad every day of each chore I must do right down to “thaw the meat for tomorrow’s dinner”.

  4. Several of those answers doing fill-ins got me to thinking. My maiden name starts with an A. So we call is the Atkins ceremony there’s something is dropped. (I have dropped stuff for all my life..) and Atkins speak when the kids’ baby words are used by myself or them as adults. No one is immune.
Angel Lucy is precious in that picture! I remember her so well.

  5. Morning Ellen and all in the house.
I agree with your #3 I don’t think God judges us at all
    Hugs Cecilia
PS I actually did fill ins this week too.

  6. I am kinda jealous you have a void. I would love to have a empty head for a while. But if it’s bugging you I am sorry that it’s there. I have a very hard time telling Rusty and Rudy apart… I use to depend on ear floof for identification but it fails me now. I have a conflict with some of the Catholic church’s beliefs.
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. I have trouble pronouncing anthropomorphizing and catastrophizing.
    2. I tend to confuse myself with thinking too far ahead with my thoughts. Kinda like tripping over my words.
    3. I quit riding my bike because I didn’t feel safe on it anymore. What the heck happens to our balance as we get old?
    4. Currently, I can’t get current affairs out of my mind.
    Happy Fill-In Day… love the Fill-Ins!

    1. I don’t like the void. Thanks for these great answers. Those are tough words. I got rid of my bike. I should have gotten one of those things to make it stationary for inside- you could do that. XO

  7. I fogot Angel Lucy… how could I do that what with her looking so adorable in her Fleet Week uniform/costume?

  8. Chaplin: “We totally understand confusing Rusty with Rudy! A lot of people get Charlee and me mixed up!”
Charlee: “In our case we’re probably easier to tell apart from the back end, since I have that big white patch there and Chaplin doesn’t.”
    Chaplin: “That’s because you’re a skunk.”
Charlee: “I AM NOT A SKUNK!!!”

  9. guyz…tell yur mom ta chillaxin heer in trout towne….noe pro nun see ayeshun kneaded and ya can tern spell chex off 😺🐾‼️💙🦋

  10. Maybe you should fall in love with not worrying, if you can. I know, I’m used to having everything on my mind, too.

Angel Lucy did a great job posing for Fleet Week. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!

  11. Aww, Angel Lucy-what a cute pic.

Maybe that void is your mind’s way of resting. It’s not a worst thing to let it. 🙏🏼 And I know what you mean about the Catechism thing. I think following the Golden Rule is better than most organized religions and a better way to show one’s humanity to others.

  12. Mom apologizes for not doing fill-ins this week. She must have a void in her brain as well. Such an absolutely adorable photo of now angel, Lucy. Mom sometimes gets C.J. And Audrey confused! Our mom remembers years and years of Catechism classes. They were always taught by nuns at her church, but, of course, that was in the 50s and early 60s. Have a delightful weekend. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

    1. No problem. I skip the poetry a lot for the same reason. When I taught there were still a few nuns around, but not anymore. XO

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Sorry the linky gave you trouble. I had trouble on the art one today so I think it was a glitch with all the linkys.
