Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.
1. I’ll be ______________ for Christmas.
2. I am eager to see ____________open his/her gift.
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and I _________.
4. I _________ the day after Christmas.
My answers:
1. I’ll be home for Christmas. I would never leave the kitties alone on a holiday.
2. I am eager to see Typhoid Mary open her gift. Actually, I saw her open it at our party and she loves it.
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and I will be reading a book. For over 20 years, we had our annual party Christmas Eve, but now that we do it a week before, I am embracing the Icelandic tradition of Jolabokaflod, which is the gift of a book for Christmas Eve and reading it. Luckily, a friend sent me 2 books I am eager to get into.
4. I go shopping the day after Christmas. I love a bargain, so I shop on the 26th for half off Christmas stuff.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from December 2017. Angel Prancie posing with Rudolph.

Awww, Angel Prancie and Rudolph look very cute together! XO
Thank you. XO
Good fill-ins and yes, a good book is a cure for anything…especially over-wrought Christma holidays and mama has just found out that the baby was actually born in September!!!!!!! Well, they had to pick a date, right. Now she’s looking frankincense and myrrh….
They wanted it there to be in stead of Saturnalia, a pagan holiday.
Thank you. I never heard that. XO
1. I’ll be home with my sons and hubby after we go to church for Christmas.
2. I am eager to see the doggies open his/her gifts.
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and I will bed at church, twice, since it is a Sunday and I am off.
4. I will relax the day after Christmas.
That is a sweet flashback of Angel Prancie and Rudolph.
Thank you for these great answers. I am glad your sons will be home for Christmas. I like watching dogs open gifts too. I saw my niece’s dog open 2 this morning. XO
We can’t link up with you this morning for some reason but wanted to tell you that we love your fill-ins AND most specially the photo of Angel Prancie with Rudolph – they look like TWINS!!!!
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
I added your link. XO
You are brave to go shopping on the 26th! I hate crowds so have never gone to the sales right after Christmas. That is a sweet flashback with Angel Prancie.
I hate crowds, but I will tolerate them for a bargain. XO
Angel Prancie looked ready to prance off with that reindeer. Enjoy your shopping after Christmas and hope you find some bargains.
Thank you. XO
I remember Angel Prancie very well! All of the Angels. XX I will make sure to head out and see what bargains I can find. It’ll be more fun with brother here.
Thank you. Hope you had fun. XO
I’ve got two library books to read this holiday, but I must find a quiet place to read, otherwise I get talked to!
That can be annoying.
The Linky list says it’s closed. Sweet photo. We like the book tradition.

That sounds like a great Christmas Eve tradition.
Thank you. 🙂
1. I’ll be home for Christmas. The very best place to be.
2. I am eager to see no one open his/her gift. It’s just hubby and I and we don’t do gifts anymore.
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and I am making a pot of Cheeseburger Chowder. Very fattening, but ever so delicious.
4. I am going to take down the Christmas tree the day after Christmas. I’m ready for spring now.
Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥
Thank you for these great answers. Cheeseburger chowder sounds delicious. Merry Christmas! XO

Chaplin: “Angel Prancie! Your furs were almost the same color as Rudolph’s! But your nose was cuter.”
Yes, she was. 🙂 Thank you. XO
Your fill-ins are so festive and fantastic! I’m like you and love being home on holidays, in no small part because I want to be with my furbabies. And I love that you embrace the Icelandic tradition of gifting and reading books on Christmas Eve. I heard about this tradition a couple years ago and have been obsessed with the concept ever since.
Prancie and Rudolph were the cutest little duo! Purrs!
Thank you. XO
I think a Christmas Eve book reading sounds cozy. You are a brave woman to go shopping the day after Christmas. Sweet flashback of Angel Prancie.
My Fill-Ins this Friday ~>
1. I’ll be home with SSNS for Christmas.
2. I am eager to see noBODY open his/her gift. Just we two and we have gifted ourselves enough this year!
3. ‘Twas the night before Christmas and I fall asleep early on the couch at peace and content,
4. I love the day after Christmas. My favorite day. Not because Christmas is over. I feel like I can feel the peace of the holiday the day after all the hubbub.
Thank you, Ellen!
Thank you. And thank you for these great answers. I will fall asleep on the couch too. Xo
Supurr fill-ins and sorry we’re a little late and missed joining the hop!
Thank you. No worries. XO
It’s lovely to be able to comment again! A new book sounds like a fabulous tradition.
Angel Prancie is beautiful, thank you for joining Feline Friday!
Thank you. Sorry I had technical issues. XO
What a precious memory of your sweet angel. ~hugs~ Blessings to you and yours, my dear.
I’ve never left my cats on Christmas either. And last year I went shopping the day after for the very first time and that’s where I ended up with Covid!
I got it from a preschool Christmas party last year.
