Friendly Fill-Ins Week 384

Hi everyone. Before we get to the fill-ins, I want to ask for purrs and prayers for our friend Brian of Brian’s World who is battling a serious infection. To visit, click here.

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I no longer feel the need to ______________________.
2. My October list of things to do includes ____________ and _______________.
3. I’m proud of myself for _________.
4. I plan to _________ in order to improve _________.
My answers:
1. I no longer feel the need to attend every event I get invited to.
2. My October list of things to do includes a daytrip to Maine to visit dear friends and attending the boy’s 1st birthday party on the 29th.
3. I’m proud of myself for changing my blog header all by myself. My friend who designed the headers usually does it, but I know he is busy with work so I finally figured it out.
4. I plan to cut back on ( and maybe eliminate) dairy in order to improve my health. I love dairy, but it causes me a lot of troubles with my skin and inflammation.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from last October, my angel Emmy showing off her skinny little tocks.

  1. Wow, nice work on the new header, I like it! Good fill ins and ahahaha, funny picture of Angel Emmy! And, we’re keeping the purrs up for Brian. XO

  2. Lovely header you smart cookie. And almond milk is awfully good, even if not like real milk. Mama’s friend used to have a little tiny pill that allowed her to have milk thingies. It worked, probably an enzyme of some sort. But you can make nice ice cream with coco milk and frozen fruit.

  3. I know a couple of people who are anxious to see you all in a few weeks too!!! Congrats on doing your own new blog header…..not an easy chore. Angel Emmy was so tiny.

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Some times it is difficult to look back on photos of our sweet angels as they change at the end. But then they are just so sweet looking like Emmy was at the time. I think your header for Autumn is just great! I am not that PC smart. I stopped dairy and wheat and sugar 10 years ago and will say it has improved my overall mental and physical health. I just did it cold turkey and have not looked back. Good luck.

  5. OH, Emmy. I know how your mommy loves and misses you.

I’m proud of you too for changing your header. Google is so easy to do so . WP scares me to death! So you are Superwoman!

  6. Great job on the header! I love it’s festival and autumnal look. Sending purrs and prayers for Brian of Brian’s World. ❤️

  7. Chaplin: “The new header is great for the season!”
Charlee: “Back in Dennis’s days our header used to get changed seasonally too, but not anymore. I’m not sure why that is. *COUGH* lazy Dada *COUGH*”
Oona: “Oona and the other kitties are keeping up the purrs for Brian!”
Lulu: “And we dogs are keeping up the tail wags!”

  8. 1. I no longer feel the need to please anyone. It is what it is and I am what I am.
    2. My October list of things to do includes cleaning our windows and shutters.
    3. I’m proud of myself for sticking to exercising everyday and eating healthier.
    4. I plan to have a slice of pumpkin pie this year in order to improve my craving. I can’t remember how long it’s been since I had a slice of pumpkin pie.

Way to go on changing your header. It’s perfect.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

I need to join you for your #4 fill=in. I am excited for your #2… both events!
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. I no longer feel the need to please or make everybody happy. This is mostly family related.
    2. My October list of things to do includes making sure I get all food items for Thanksgiving dinner before the snowbirds buy it all and stocking up on Cottonelle for the same reason.
    3. I’m proud of myself for organizing the kitchen junk drawer but I know that someBODY will mess it up in short order.
    4. I plan to use cornstarch in order to improve my gravy for Thanksgiving. Ellen! 🙂

    1. I didn’t make it, I just switched it out. 🙂 Thank you for these great answers. Good idea for #2. Glad you are going to use my tip about cornstarch. Just add a couple Tablespoons to a cup of cold water and add it in then keep stirring until it boils and continue for a minute. XO

  11. Wow, you did a great job on making your new header work! Bravo!!

Maybe try eliminating food from the nightshade family, such as toamtoes, peppers, potatoes and eggplant. They are very yummy, but come at a the price of being rather inflammatory at least for me and many others. There are articles and books available to help with eating a non-inflammatory diet; which include recipes.

We are sending our bestest POTP to Brian. And pawyers, too.

    1. I no longer feel the need to get all the chores done on the rigid schedule I used to keep.
    2. My October list of things to do includes enjoying Canadian Thanksgiving (on the 9th) and cleaning up the patio pots so they’ll be ready for next spring.
    3. I’m proud of myself for still being able to work (at my age and after all my health issues).
    4. I plan to try and stay within my nutritional guidelines in order to improve my health and weight…which keeps creeping up on me because, well, I cheat, LOL!

WP is giving me a lot of grief…I have to type in all the details and still it kicks me out with the ‘invalid security ticket’ notice, whatever that is…sigh…not just in your blog.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am impressed that you still work after all you went through. I will look into the nightshade family. XO

  12. Adorable photo! Good for you on the header! I haven’t changed mine in a couple years because since Blogger made so many changes, I’ve heard it’s hard to change the size of the header. So I’ve been hesitant to even try.

    1. Thank you. All my images were in there from my friend so I just clicked on what I wanted. I could never change the size. 🙂 XO

  13. Those were purrfect answers. Our Dad is now allergic to dairy protein so no dairy anything for him. Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it so much.
