Friendly Fill-Ins Week 37

Hi everyone! Most of you guessed correctly on the cake yesterday, it was a beer can. We have a local microbrewery that is very popular called TreeHouse Brewing so it was designed to look like one of their cans.

Now time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Be sure to add your link to McGuffy’s Reader.

1. ________________________makes me feel old
2._______________________makes me feel young.

3. I have                             .

4.                                 is                                .

My answers:

  1. Knowing my niece is 28 and a Mom herself makes me feel old.
  2.  Playing with my 1 year old great-niece on the floor and being able to still get up makes me feel young.
  3. I have 13 cats, even though the name of the blog is 15andmeowing ( we had that many when I started blogging ion 2014).
  4. Blogging is fun. It is my reason for getting up in the morning ( that and 13 hungry kitties).

  1. Yep, hungry cats do not care what the clock says; they have the patience of a gnat when it comes to b’fast! I feel old bc I used to watch Bart Starr play football, but I feel young when I see Tom Brady; I think he’s gorgeous!

  2. It’s funny … as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten worse at guessing ages. I have the right age difference between me and the other person … I’m just underestimating their age by 15 years. I suppose that means in my head, I’m still 25 … I wish my body worked that well!

  3. I had a lot of fun with this week’s fill-ins, and your answers are so great! I may only have 3 kitties right now, but I see no problem with having 13, especially when they have such a fantastic home as they do with you. And I couldn’t agree more about how wonderful blogging is. I never thought I’d be the kind of person that would really enjoy or stick with blogging, but after joining this community, I realized just how wrong I was. Happy Friday to you and all 13 kitties!

  4. I’d have a houseful of kitties too if I wasn’t allergic to cats. I love them so.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to your 13 kitties. ☺

  5. Wonderful fill-ins! Being breathed on by ginger girls is what gets our Mom up in the morning. Thank goodness for breakfast-impatient ginger sisters!

  7. You are young! It would take me forever to get up from the floor! Six joint replacements/surgeries did it! *whew* You are a blessing to so many, not only 13 cats! HUGS!

    1. Yikes, you have had a lot of surgeries. I am lucky to still be able to get on the floor and back up despite being overweight. Thank you for thinking I am a blessing to many, you are very sweet and also a blessing to many. XO

  8. 2 hungry kitties and an occasional possum greet Suz when she goes out. We have had up to 30 at one time. We are getting too old and broke to take care of them.

    1. Yes, willingly 🙂 I am lucky I can get back up 🙂 I wrote at the beginning of this post that it was a beer can shaped cake. Glad you liked the poem .XO

  10. When people we knew as babies start having babies, it does let us know how time has passed.

  11. Oooh, it’s fill-in day. I’m gonna try this.

    1. Knowing my 11 Gotcha Day is coming up makes me feel old
    2. Seeing how old TW is makes me feel young.
    3. I have a new tunnel that I’m just starting to play in.
    4. Pop is tasty. He tastes like chick-hen.

    Have a good weekend.

    1. WOW! Mom has 2 nieces and a nephew older than her, but they are Daddy’s brother’s kids. Paw kisses and nose kisses XO

  13. Ahhh I remember the days of being able to get down in the floor with the little ones and still being able to get up again with ease. 🙂 Now, if I get down, especially if I am squatting down to take a picture, I need help getting back up. It’s as if my knees are down there saying, “Nope, nope, nope!”

    Have a blessed weekend!

  14. 1.When I have to run about like a mad person at work…and hardly have time to take a break…and lifting and moving the peeps in and out of bed, etc…now that makes me feel old…really, really old!
2.Working with so many youngsters, (Just kidding they are young peeps in their early 20’s, mostly)…really, most are younger than our sons…now that makes me feel young. And so does the fact that most of the peeps I help are a generation or more older than myself:)

    3. I have a huge collection of military drummers most of them are big nutcrackers…over 300 of them…have been collecting those for may years, now. (Its part of my family heritage on my mother’s side…) Sometimes they are photobombing the kitty/doggy pictures in my blog. .

    4. Listening to classical music is one way how I keep my sanity…the radio is always on here. It has to be from before 1850, usually newer music disturbs my senses too much… sometimes I will turn it on in my residents’ room; it helps to calm them down a lot:) And me too, MOL! .

    1. Thank you for your answers, I enjoyed them . I can see some of your nutcrackers in the background of your photos, they are very nice. XO
