Friendly Fill-Ins Week 336

Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My list of things to do in November includes ________________, ____________ and _________________.

2. A ____________________ is ______________.
3. I never would have guessed that _________.
4. _________ is an unpopular opinion that I have.
My answers:
1. My list of things to do in November includes attending The Great One’s birthday party, Christmas shopping and preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
2. A trip to the vet is expensive.
3. I never would have guessed that the cost of everything would increase so much in 2022.
4. Disliking cell phones is an unpopular opinion that I have. I have one for emergencies and since COVID I have needed it more to call when I arrive at an appointment. It drives me crazy to see people driving with one in their hand or walking through a store.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

My flashback is from November 2014. Angel Lucy as an Indian ( we mean no disrespect to Native Americans).

  1. Angel Lucy looks very cute. I agree about cell phones, and people who have to keep using them throughout a meal in a restaurant really annoys me.

  2. We HATE cell phones – Mom and Dad say when you go to a restaurant these days and look around you see EVERYONE at some tables not talking to each other – they’re on their cell phones. Sad to see. GREAT fill-ins………….

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. We agree! When mama and papa pulled out their phones once at a restaurant with papa’s daughter, she said YOU TWO ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE PHONES AT THE TABLE…like the kids…and when people talk so LOUDLY….jeez, Louise.

  4. I have a similar Fill-In for #4 and I wrote it yesterday before I read yours… interesting. It is crazy the way things have blown up in prize and gotten smaller in servings and going to smaller packaging.

    My Fill-Ins~
    1. My list of things to do in November includes eating bacon wrapped chicken with all the fixings for Thanksgiving, putting out my Mom’s ceramic lighted Christmas tree she gave us the first year we were married (I already did that on the first day of November) and enjoying this favorite month and holiday of mine.
    2. A tiny kitten is a force to be reckoned with on the cuteness scale.
    3. I never would have guessed that I would be so all about food. I was a picky eater as a kid with a diet of PB&J sandwiches for lunch, two chocolate Hostess cupcakes for breakfast with a glass of Tang and buttered elbow macaroni for dinner.
    4. My negative view of how cell phones are used by friends and family while I/we are sitting right there with them is an unpopular opinion that I have.
Thank you for the Fill-Ins, Ellen!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Glad you feel the same about cell phones. Your dinner sounds way better than turkey. That sounds like a very special tree. XO

  5. Aw on Angel Lucy. She made a fine Indian.

Love all your fill-ins and I agree with you on the phones. I was in a waiting area on Tuesday and there was one guy watching a loud video and two other guys talking on their phones very loudly. I got up and left.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥.

  6. Charlee: “Ooh, our Dada used to have to go around the grocery store with his phone out because it had his grocery list on it, but now he has his grocery list on his watch so he just uses that.”
Chaplin: “What ever happened to using a paper grocery list?”
    Lulu: “DID SOMEBODY SAY PAPER?!”
Charlee: “Maybe Lulu happened to it …”

  7. Aww! @ Angel Lucy so cute

I agree with you this year has been a nightmare with what’s going on and the price rises arrghh!

    Have a relaxingtastic weekend 👍

    1. EASTSIDE CATS you are correct about “Star Trek” devices being like a Cell Phones. The ACTUAL Cell Phone is not the problem; it is how people use them that makes some of us uncomfortable!
You made a valid point!! 😉
      BellaSita Mum an **purrss** BellaDharma

    1. Thank you. 🙂 They are banned in cars in my state, but it doesn’t stop people. XO

  8. Ah, sweet Lucy. As for prices (especially food), we are using coupons and shopping sales like never before. Lucky me, my husband does all the research while I him find the items and look for any unexpected deals. Best wishes to you and yours. I’m happy for the young family’s good news, by the way. 😀

  9. TGO bday party will be fun!!
I 1000000% agree with #4. Last year when I had my appendectomy they asked my husband’s cell #. I said he doesn’t have a cell. They asked mine. I told them he was going to be in the waiting room until he spoke to the doctor. Gal a bit huffy with me. Guess she was to lazy to walk out to they waiting room to call him in. Surgery was only 30 min. (I have an iPhone and for sure he can’t use it).
    Hugs Cecilia

  10. Angel Lucy looks marvelous! I love your fill-ins. Even #4, although I have had a cell phone forever. I originally needed one for work and with all the travelling I did, and add that to the remoteness of where I live, a cell phone has been a life saver more than once. I do not even have a landline any more. Marv is doing the fill-ins tomorrow. Keep on being awesome! Barb

  11. Adorable photo! I admit I’m pretty much attached at the hip to my phone, but NOT for making phone calls! MOL. And not while I’m driving either. Hopefully this next Tuesday we can start making changes when it comes to inflation.

  12. Those were good answers and I agree on the cell phone thing. I really dislike hearing someone elses phone conversation, especially in restaurants and movie theaters (I won’t go to the movies anymore until they are banned).

  13. Adorable photo. I’m replying to your post on my phone lol, but I don’t use it all the time. I think people spend way too much time on their phone.

  14. Number 2 is so true. With shots and spaying and neutering, the new kittens have cost our mom over $1000. She is not really a fan of cell phones either but has one out of necessity. We didn’t do our fill-ins until today (Caturday). Lucy looks so cute! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  15. Great answers! I’m not a big cell phone user. I have one without a data plan on it and I only carry it around in case of emergency. Many times, I don’t even take it with me. And my husband doesn’t have one at all. We like to completely unplug from time to time. xo

  16. TW shares your unpopular opinion. She doesn’t even have a cell phone nor does she know how to use one. One would come in handy now that she goes for treatment. She has to take Pop along just for his phone to call for the black car ride back to NJ.
