Friendly Fill-Ins Week 311

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. If you see me ____________ it means ____________________.
2. I am feeling _______________about _____________.
3. I wish I could go back and relive the moment when _________.
4. I would like to swap lives with _________ for a day.
My answers:
1. If you see me running it means I am being chased. I can’t think of any other reason I would be running. 🙂
2. I am feeling scared about a lot of things right now. Between kitty health issues and the threat of WW3, I am a nervous wreck.
3. I wish I could go back and relive the moment when I was told Sammy needed thyroid meds- I would say no thanks, I want to go with the radioactive iodine cure. At the time he was healthy enough for it, but no one explained that the pills were not a cure and the dosage would continually go up causing kidney damage.
4. I would like to swap lives with no one for a day. I was going to say Nic Cage’s wife, but I don’t want anyone to be my cats’ mommy for a day.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

The flashback is from May 2016, Angel Phoebe was sporting a hat for straw hat day. She added a green flower to go with her eyes.

  1. What a beautiful girl. I remember her beauty so well. And Angel Sammy…I have decided to have I-131 for Katie if it becomes necessary. And you’re right. We usually aren’t told about the medicine for hyperthyroidism and what happens after awhile. I think that’s what may have sent my Admiral away to the Bridge..the complications.

    1. Thank you. Yes, I figured it was less stressful for the pills. I had no idea what would happen because all other cats I had on the meds died from other causes. XO

  2. Great fill in answers. I don’t think I could run even if I was being chased! That is a lovely flashback of Angel Phoebe.

  3. Our Sammy was too old for the radioactive iodine cure but did fine on the medication……in the end It was simply failure of other systems in his body that caused him to fly away. Wish we could all stay as long as we WANT to – I’m sure both of our Sammys WANTED to stay with us! Angel Phoebe looks fabulous in her hat…..

    Hugs, Pam

  4. There are a lot of reasons to feel anxious lately yes…. I am very happy to take a bit of a break for a couple of days. Oh I agree, I also don’t know if I would want anyone else to my cats’ Mommy. Our “babysitter” is lovely though and she loves all the pets!

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your kitties.

  5. Love your fill-ins and you made me chuckle with #4.

Angel Phoebe was most adorable in that hat.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

    Prayers for Emmy.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  6. I wish I had a magic wand to help you feel better. You did what you thought was best for Sammy and he was very loved. Sending love and purrs.

  7. I have a lot of anxiety lately, as well. The world is a mess. That is a sweet photo of Angel Phoebe.

  8. Ellen…I’m with you I would only run if being chased. It is so hard to know what to do when the furries are sick…we have to treat them with love and the best info we have.
I am in total shock at so many things but the shortage of baby formula is absolutely uncalled for and I heard it could go on for 2 more months.
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. Thank you. Yes, that is awful as so many need that and there are no options. XO

    1. I want to see it, but will wait for dvd. It looks good and he looks younger than he has in years. XO

  9. Add me to those who are feeling anxiety these days. I have anxiety and all this makes it off the charts. I try to find peace in the things I do. No running for me either! Angel Phoebe, she loved hats didn’t she?? She looks so sweet in your photo.
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. If you see me in jeans and boots it means I have moved back to MissouREE.
    2. I am feeling nervous about when to wear a mask now.
    3. I wish I could go back and relive the moment when I got my first horse.
    4. I would like to swap lives with nobody for a day.
    Thank you Ellen!

    1. I take an anti-anxiety med, Effexor so it helps. I can’t imagine how I would be without. Thank you for these great answers. I wear a mask everywhere despite being boostered twice. Have a nice weekend. XO

  10. Excellent fill-ins especially number 2- I want peace for our world. I love Angel Phoebes photo! Take care and have a lovely day!

  11. Awwwww! Lovely picture of Phoebe.
About Sammy, I think we’ve all been there.
We need to push back at the Vet to explain the options clearly.
Tillie was my regret and all these years later it still bothers me.

  12. We are all a nervous wreck these days. My Mollie got sick during the pandemic. I wish I would have taken her to a really good vet hospital an hour away. Local vet care was awful and she didn’t make it.

      1. I know you are commenting to Kate, but I want to say I didn’t realize how expensive the ride would be to the vet- yikes. XO

    2. I remember your losing Mollie. I am sorry that you did, but vet care was hard to come by when the pandemic started. XO

      1. She ranks in my list of all time favorites (not that we have any favorites). She was 16 when she passed and I was sure she’d be my first cat to hit 20.

        1. I have never been lucky enough for a cat to live that long. Jinx made it to 18 and a half. XO

    1. Thank you for your kind words. but I take some responsibility for being o trusting and not fully researching the thyroid meds. XO

  14. Love your answers! Angel Phoebe is darling in that photo.

  15. The world is a stressful, scary place, and fear runs rampant through so many who would otherwise be happy. Yoo know pets pick up on their hoomon’s anxiety. We are so a tuned to our hoomons, their stress becomes our stress. We at Wonderpurr try to bring light and love and sunshine to the blogging world, but lately it’s been hard. Not much to smile about. We have a lot of seniors and what lies ahead is heartbreak. But in the meantime, we celebrate each day we have together. Sending yoo a special purr to warm yoor heart and make yoo smile. Love, Dori

    1. Thank you. I understand how it is when you have a lot of senior kitties. All we can do is keep loving them and getting good vet care. XO and love to you.

  16. Your fu=ill ins had me thinking…I can run but then later I am almost unable to walk…it makes my hips complain…so I just walk really fast.

I could be very anxious about the state of affairs here and abroad, but I pray to God and let Him take care of it, cause I sure cannot. ‘Cast all your Cares On Him’. Be Still and Know that I am God.

I’m sorry that you have all those mixed feelings about Sammy and the thyroid medicine…but because you did what you thought was best, don’t beat yourself up over it….but yes, we here miss him too…and I also think the what if stuff too about my fur angels…

    1. If you see me composing a newspaper article it means one or the other of our sons has told us he has a girlfriend…I really have told them that if they do I shall have to call the newspaper up about it! LOL!.
    2. I am feeling worried about all the bitterness and hate n the political world.
    3. I wish I could go back and relive the moment when we got our first kitty, Groucho’.
    4. I would like to swap lives with nobody for a day. I like who I am!

    1. Yes, I know I need to trust God because I have no control over anything really. especially wars and pet illnesses. Thank you for your great answers, #1 was cute. You should post a photo of Groucho on your blog, I would love to see him. XO

  17. Same here for me, Ellen. So many worries in my personal life and then there;s the threat of WW3 hanging over us too. It’s like there’s no hope left. I avoid watching the news. Too depressing.

    1. I try to avoid the news, but it is hard because my hubby watches it during dinner. XO
