Friendly Fill-Ins Week 300

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the purrs and prayers for Drake. He is hyperthyroid so he will be on medicine twice a day just like Emmy Joanie and Sammy. I would love to know what causes this in so many older cats. His kidney values were in range for now, but once the thyroid is treated, that could change so he will be retested in a month.

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

  1. Aww, not another hyperthyroid kitty. Well, at least it can be helped.

    1. 2007 is the fattest I have ever been.(And 1964 is the fastest I have ever been, I could run like the wind, and I played soccer and won 100 yard dashes. Now if I run like that I can hardly walk the nest day…so I just walk really fast now…thankfully no troubles with that!
    2. I really hate going to the dentist. I bet so many others do too!
    3. While most people enjoy popular music, I do not, I prefer classical.
    4. I’m glad that blogging was invented.(!!) And card games…I love spider!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I have never been able to run without being out of breath in 10 seconds. I actually don’t mind the dentist. And I am with you about blogging. XO

  2. I hope Drake is doing well. I’m glad it can be treated with meds.

I love the pic of Angel Prancie.

Great fill ins. We had the same answer for #2. Have a great weekend!

  3. I am sorry that Drake has been confirmed with hyperthyroidism. From his symptoms I am sure you already suspected that, but with confirmation you can get him on the right treatment. That is a very cute photo of Angel Prancie in her beads.

  4. We’re sending oodles of healing vibes for Drake, and we know mew’ll take the best care of him! Epic fill-ins, and yep the hairdressers is a nightmare, the P.A. has one who comes to house once a year for a trim! Wishing mew a lovely Friyay and Angel Prancie looks grogeous!

  5. Super fill-ins. My Mom was always skinny throughout school – until she got about 30 when all of a sudden she turned into a balloon (her words not mine!). My Mom and Dad love to travel – maybe not as much as years ago but still they enjoy day trips and going to Maine to see YOU every year. Have a super Friday everybody – we hope Drake will feel better on his meds!!

    Hugs, Teddy

  6. We hope Drake’s kidney values stay good. Great Fill-ins. Mom has never done her own hair because she is sure she would mess it up.

Angel Prancie looks sweet with her beads.

  7. We get old and things start happening to us.

Love your fill-ins. Being thin is a wonderful thing.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. I decided to do them after all.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  8. Ellen I 100% agree about coffee.
Purrs for good retesting for Drake
I have never colored my hair. When I was 16 ‘everyone’ was frosting their hair. My parents would not give me let me. Then fast forward to agre 45 or 48 when I started graying…my mom suggested I color my hair. My replie was, “when I wanted to frost my hair you said no. Now that I have natural frosting for free you want me to color”.
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. It id dificult to think of celebration and Mardi Gras and unmasking (!), which we feel is too early and will have repercussions, when the magnificent Ukranians are fighting for their lives and freedom. Perhaps no one remember the man with the little mustache in 1939 who surrounded free countries and with an army of thousands simply walked over Europe. How soon we forget.

  10. Angel Prancie was smiling!
I started dying my hair when I was in high school, and kept it up for decades.
Then, I wanted to rid myself of the worry of roots showing, so I bit the bullet and grew it out until I could cut off all of the dyed hair with a short bob.

  11. Sending Drake healing purrz. I think I read a theory where hyperthyroidism was caused by flame-retardant mattresses and rugs in the house. Not sure how accurate that is. Thx for the fill-ins. TW started going gray in HS and started coloring her hair in her 20s. She stopped after she retired and couldn’t afford it anymore. She was every color but blond.

    1. Thank you. I was over 40 when I stopped plucking and started coloring. We only have 2 braided rugs , but maybe the mattress. XO

  12. That is an adorable picture of Angel Prancie♥ I am with you on your #2 and #3.
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. When my Z Cat was alive I was the happiest I have ever been.
    2. I really hate going to any kind of Doctor except for my dentist.
    3. While most people seem to enjoy going to the movies, I like to stay home with a bowl of popcorn and watch a movie on TV.
    4. I’m glad that air conditioning was invented.
    Thanks Ellen!

    1. Thank you for your great answers. Z cat sounds very special. I am with you on 3 and 4. XO

  13. Totally understand the hairdresser thing. I use the hair coloring that you just apply then massage slightly to spread all over.
