Friendly Fill-Ins Week 286

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I am thankful for ______________, _____________________ and ________________________.

My answers:

2. I look forward to eating cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole and apple pie on Thanksgiving.
3. I didn’t realize hw easy it is to not snack at night until I tried it.
4. There is no shame in having a lot of cats- as long as one can take care of them.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

My flashback is from November 2015. Angel Millie wearing the pilgrim hat I crocheted.

  1. Angel Millie made for a great pilgrim:)

    1. I am thankful for my good health, my ability to still work and my hubby and all my family…and way too much to put here!
    2. I look forward to eating turkey, and all kinds of keto or paleo styled side dishes on Thanksgiving. Esp the home made cranberry sauce/relish that is a nice spicy compliment to the turkey.
    3. I didn’t realize my Aunt had worked for the Dutch underground until after she had passed away. Too bad, because I would have loved to have heard all her stories. She might even have been able to tell us about our long lost cousin Derk, who also worked for that organization.
    4. There’s no shame in admitting you don’t know something…or to say sorry, I was wrong. t helps to make and keep peace, instead of hatred.

    1. Thank you for these great answers, especially #4. That is interesting about your aunt- did she have children you could ask about that? Have a nice weekend. XO

  2. Green Bean casserole, one of my favorites for Thanksgiving! I haven’t snacked after dinner for years but I have found that I was snacking other times. I try to not snack between meals at all. Not easy but I give myself a break and have a chocolate chip cookie. Angel Millie, so nice to see a past picture of him with your crocheted pilgrim hat♥
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. I am thankful for SSNS, the friends I have met through blogging and kitten/cat rescue.
    2. I look forward to eating bacon wrapped chicken with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving.
    3. I didn’t realize how stressed I was from the process of moving and having work done on our house until I started to not feel well.
    4. There’s no shame in asking for help when we need it.
Thanks, Ellen! Wishing the Meowing Crew a happy weekend!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I like your meal better than turkey. And I agree we should ask for help when needed. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

  3. That is a sweet flashback. No, there is no shame in having a lot of cats. You are giving them all the best home with love and care. We had 11 cats at one time before we took Eric and Flynn into our lives.

  4. I am thankful for pumpkin pie and whip cream!
I look forward to eating pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving!
I didn’t realize I wanted pumpkin pie until right now
There’s no shame in eating pumpkin pie!

  5. Love your fill-ins. We all have our favorite foods on Thanksgiving. I like yours especially the apple pie.

I agree about having all the kitties you want as long as you take care of them.

    Aw on Angel Millie. Adorable.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xoxo ♥

  6. Great answers. Thx for hosting. Since TW’s been sick, she’s been snacking before bed for she never did before. Now she’d like to maintain her weight or gain. It’s always a good idea to have a plan for your kitties whether you have 1 or 20. Maria didn’t so Liz has to try to vet and rehome 28 cats that she knows nothing about. Maria didn’t expect to die suddenly, I’m sure, but it happened. We wish for you and the kitties a long life.

    1. No one thinks they will die suddenly, but it can happen so always good to have a plan. I feel bad for those cats. XO

  7. Those were good answers and our Dad still is snacking at night, even though he shouldn’t. It’s nice to see Angel Millie.

  8. Great answers on your fill-inns, Granny would like to have a lot of kitties too😸That’s a nice hat Angel Millie and it looks great on you👒Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞
