Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful my mom and I got to visit the kids for a while on Wednesday.

The Boy was thrilled with their new lawn decorations.

And I am thrilled with my new one too, a ghost on a swing that lights up at night.

I am also very thankful Pam is back online. We are joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.

Here is our poem to go with this fun photo prompt:

I am not meditating or trying to be zen
you see this chicken escaped her pen.
I am going to stay still on this stoop
and hope she leaves before she has to poop.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
          1. I plan to _____________________ and _____________________ in October.
2. _____________________was the highlight of my week.
 3. ‘Tis the season for ________
 4. Though a lot of people like _________, I can’t stand it.

  1. HAHAHA! First we have to say that poem is hilarious….good job!! Also the new Halloween decorations everyone has are perfect – should put the SPOOKY in the fun time that Halloween is especially for kids and those of us who answer the doorbell with goodies!

  3. The poem is great! Laughing here!! You have some excellent Thankfuls, Ellen. The ghost on the swing is adorable… it calls to me. I am happy you and your Mom were able to spend time with the kids yesterday.
    BOO! 👻

    1. Thank you. 🙂 You should get one. This one is from Lowe’s , but they are on Amazon. XO

  4. We’re seeing the decorations here, too.

What a fun poem! Yes, I wouldn’t want the bird to stay long, either.

  5. Great poem, we too — hope for “no deposits by chick” on his head! As for this weeks questions, if we were to answer, would likely manage to tuck in “Halloween Spook-i-ness” into every answer in some way.

  6. What a fun poem! Loving your swinging ghost decoration. That’s too cool.
