HI everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.
1. I keep hoping _________________________________.
2. Last year at this time, I was _____________________.
3. _________ is my favorite kind of weather.
4. One random fact I happen to know is _________.
My answers:
1. I keep hoping a stray cat will appear in our yard so I can keep it. Back in 2005, my Angel Stinky showed up on a cold night and the following week, Angel Prancie arrived. Angel Tallulah showed up in 2006, Penny in 2012 and Emmy in 2017.
2 Last year at this time, I was hopeful that COVID wasn’t as bad as the news made it sound and I figured a cure would be found within a few months. I was way off on that.
3. Fall weather ( crisp and cool) is my favorite kind of weather. I don’t mind the cold either as long as it stays above zero. 🙂
4. One random fact I happen to know is the new season of Dexter is being filmed in Massachusetts.

1. I keep hoping that this snow will melt by tomorrow(not gonna happen).
2. Last year at this time, I was warmer and didn’t have to wear a mask.
3. Springtime is my favorite kind of weather.
4. One random fact I happen to know is that when a cat brings its toy and places it at your feet, it is trying to teach you to hunt(at least that’s what my son says, and he’s always giving you random facts).
Thank you for these great answers. I think your son is correct about cats bringing a toy and in some cases, a real mouse. I wonder if we will ever be mask free?
Angel Spooky looks adorable. It’s amazing how strays can become family. Cookie (the one I lost in November was a stray). She was the friendliest cat ever. Kit is sort of a stray. A stray gave birth to her on our deck and left her. We took Kit in and kept her ever since – she’ll be 4 in April. There were others along the way. Here in Florida, there aren’t any strays in our neighborhood. The strays we had were when we lived in NY. I hope you have a great weekend!
I think strays truly appreciate being taken in and give so much love. XO
Ms. Ellen, you probably won’t believe me – and you should research this for yourself – but covid has been over for a while and the media is hyping up the normal flu season just to make humans afraid… People who are fearful are easier to control. In other meows, the media is working with Deep State politicians to try and control everyone… They have known chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine was a vaccine for flu and even the common cold since at least 2005, which is when Fauci authored a paper on it – this was published in an August edition of the Virology Journal… Trump mentioned hydroxychloroquine months ago, but the media and Deep State didn’t want the scamdemic to end, so they came up with false reports about it being dangerous…. Believe is or not – and please do your own research, but don’t use wikipedia or google, as they are in on this control human minds thing, too – flu shots are much more dangerous than covid …. and I’m hearing those are what Biden is having distributed.
Purrseidon
Oh and thank you for hosting this blog hop.
Thank you. I sure hope the shots are not that dangerous as my hubby wants one ASAP and he is now eligible, My mom refuses.
None of us realized how bad Covid was at the beginning…..but things are getting better now thankfully. I think you are overdue for a kitty to show up looking for shelter – they seem to know that you are willing to give them a “second chance” !!!
Hugs, Teddy
Thank you. XO
Angel Spooky looks great in red! I heard a cat meowing last night very close to us and it worried me. We are surrounded by a Preserve and it is not good for a domestic cat to be wandering around. We have never heard or seen stray cats since we moved here three years ago. I enjoyed your Fill-Ins!
1. I keep hoping to get a call for our shots for the vaccine.
2. Last year at this time, we had family from Missouri and had no idea what was ahead of us with Covid.
3. Cool with low humidity is my favorite kind of weather.
4. One random fact I happen to know is that life is like a roller coaster.
I hope that cat is OK. Thank you for these great answers. I hope you get the call soon. My hubby just became eligible, but all the nearby places are full. I hope you can still skype with family. Good point about life, it sure is. Have a nice weekend. XO
When a cat needs you, it will come. All in due time.
Thanks so much for hosting the fill-ins, your Angel photos always make me smile.
Thank you. XO
SPOOKY! Here’s an Angel-type Smooch for you, my Angel.
Awww…you are so sweet. XO
Aw cute photo. Over the years I’ve had 5 cats show up in my backyard, so it’s always on my mind that another one may come by someday in need of a home.
I am sure another will arrive someday. XO
We love the photo. All of us are rescues and Einstein was found in a yard but not ours. So good to be able to help and then receive so much in return. We like the cold too but SNOW NO
Thank you. Trouble, Brody and Rosie were all trapped in a friend’s yard too. XO
Those were good answers and maybe a kitty will show up soon.
Thank you. I hope so. 🙂
I love your answers! Fall weather is my favorite, as well. Angel Spooky looks adorable in the Dr. Seuss hat!
Thank you. XO
xo😉
Love your fill-ins and I chuckled with the stray cats showing up. I hope you find a few. Just saying.
Dexter has a new show? I watched the original way back.
Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. I always enjoy participating.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties; ♥
Thank you. Yes, they are making another season set in NY state, but filming in Massachusetts. XO
awww Angel Spooky is beautiful! Good info about the series Dexter…..have a great day!
Thank you. 🙂
What great friendly fill-in answers. We especially like #1. Like you we were hopeful COVID would be gone or almost gone but instead it got worse. There’s still hope though because things always seem to get worse before it gets better.
We love Angel Spooky’s picture with the Dr. Seuss hat on.
Who won the Dr. Seuss giveaway or hasn’t it been announced yet?
Thank you. The giveaaway is open until Tuesday 9pm. XO
Aww, Angel Spooky is so cute in that hat! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you. XO

So sweet is Angel Spooky! 🙂 <3
Thank you. XO
Spooky looks so cute. So amazing how those lovely strays came to you looking for a home x
Agreed. 🙂 Best wishes, my dear.
Thank you. XO
Thank you. XO
1. I keep hoping that soon the nursing home and all others as well, will be able to be having visitors again, the residents are so lonely and rather confused about where their families are, and not getting real live hugs and kisses is so depressing..
2. Last year at this time, I was not even thinking about this evil virus that much, as it was just the beginning…sigh….
3. About 75 with low humidity and some pretty sunshine is my favorite kind of weather.
4. One random fact I happen to know is one of my favorite composers was born on Washington’s BD, and another was born on Feb 29th!! (Rossini).
And I do think wandering kitties somehow know that you are a kind lady who will help them…and give them a new forever home!
I think they see the fat cats sitting in the windows. 🙂 XO
Thank you for these great answers. That is so sad that the residents can’t have visitors as it is so good for well being.
That is good that you know when your favorite composers were born. You could be a music professor. XO
I keep hoping….. is too depressing to think about. If you have to keep hoping, that means it isn’t happening. 🙂
Good point.
Angel Spooky looks very cute in the hat. I keep hoping a stray will turn up too but we never see any around here. After Flynn passed we said we would spend more time travelling while I am still able to do so so agreed it wouldn’t be fair to adopt a cat and keep going off. I really miss having a little furry friend to give my love to, and if a stray did turn up I know Ivor would have a change of heart and let it stay
I know you would, you are both very kind. XO
Those are some great answers. Just wondering: do you come up with the fill-ins specifically for some answers? Like did you want to mention what you keep hoping for when you wrote the fill-in? I ax a lot of questions.
I have a list of them ready, but sometimes like for that question I do write them for a specific answer. XO
Well Angel Spooky made me laugh heheh!
I liked your fill-ins your so kind to all of them 🙂
Have a straytastic safe weekend 😷😷😷
Thank you. Have a great weekend. 🙂
Your fill-ins are purrfectly Fabulous! And Spooky in a the hat is gorgeous! Thanks for coming and visiting us and commenting We LOVE you and your Kitties. We can’t wait until tomorrow–Have an awesome day!
Thank you. We love you too. XO
We hope that kitty shows up soon for you because we know that would be one very lucky kitty. Mom and Dad found a lost dog today. We wish we could have kept her but they found her owners and brought her home.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Thank you. That was kind of your folks. XO
Awww, someone will show up who needs you!
And I will be happy to take him or her in. 🙂
Wee have our own ‘Stinky’ man cat here…mee cuud send him to you Miss Ellen!! Hee iss a reel social cat an needss a guud home!

What I remember of my last day in the office, was the look on my supervisor’s face, when he told me that he was going home RIGHT NOW, and that I should do the same. It’ll soon be a year from that day.
That is sad.
Any cat that shows up in your yard is a lucky one! Our mom also loves the Fall. And she can’t wait for Dexter!
Thank you. I am excited about Dexter too. XO
I was also hopeful – and wrong – about Covid not turning out to be so bad. 🙁
Word must be out that yours is the place to go for stray cats. Hope another shows up soon!
Thank you. I would love for one to show up.
Pawesome answers and definitely #1, the P.A. keeps hoping for a gorgeous little maine coon to move in! LOL Happy Sunday fluffies and thanks for hosting XOX
Thank you. I hope a Maine Coon shows up for the PA. XO
Fantastic fill-ins, as always! Your #1 is so sweet. Any kitty would be blessed to find you, and I hope a stray in need of a home makes his or her way to you. That would be the best thing to ever happen to them. And I completely agree that fall weather is the best. And your random fact is so fun. I’m making my way through Dexter and am loving it. I’m on season 6, and I already can’t wait for the new season. Angel Spooky is beyond adorable! Purrs!
Thank you. I am hoping they need extras for Dexter. XO
