Friendly Fill-Ins Week 239- Merry Christmas!

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. The best gift I have ever given is ____________________.
2. Last night, I _________________.
3. _________ brings me joy today.
4. My favorite holiday memory is _________.
My answers:
1. The best gift I have ever given is a dog. When my hubby and I were dating, I was still in college. His dog, Silver passed away and he was lonely so I found someone selling Norwegian Elkhounds and brought him over to pick one out.
2. Last night, I spent home with my hubby and kitties. For the first time in years we didn’t have our annual Christmas Eve gathering- better safe than sorry.
3. All my cats bring me joy today. Everyday.
4. My favorite holiday memory is not one memory, the years go by so fast that they all blend together. I know every year, our annual Christmas Eve gathering is what my hubby and I look forward to all year- the one night we are extroverts. All 30 of those nights have been special in their own way, seeing kids grow up and come with their own little ones. Many of the original guests are no longer with us, but are always in our hearts.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

Joanie is hoping Santa was as good to you as he was to her- she got her baby Yoda.
May you all have a wonderful Christmas- stay safe!

    4. My favorite holiday memory is all of my childhood ones, esp the first time we lived in a new town, and there was no $$ for an elaborate holiday, (All the gifts for 5 peeps fit in a laundry basket…)…and we had no tree at all….so I was given the one we had in our classroom…I dragged it home over a couple blocks and it was proudly decorated with the ornaments and bubble lights that we had used in previous years. I was 10 years old…

    Merry Christmas!!

  11. What sweet and festive fill-ins for Christmas! Your Christmas memories sound so lovely. My family also had a lowkey Christmas Eve and Christmas, but it was honestly really nice. We are so glad you got your baby Yoda, Joanie! Meowy Christmas and many blessings to all of you!

  12. Lowkey was the way to go this Christmas here, too. Just Tracey and me, though we did FaceTime with our relatives. Merry Christmas, sweet pals!

    1. The best gift I have ever given is the time spent with my Mom her last Christmas with us. But it was really the other way around. She gave us the best gift.
    2. Last night, I strolled through our neighborhood with SSNS and looked at all the beautiful lights.
    3. SSNS and myself being healthy and able to enjoy this Christmas together brings me joy today.
    4. My favorite holiday memory is the year Santa brought me a horse. I think my Dad was happier than I was!
Thank you Ellen. Merry Christmas and continued Happy Holidays!

  15. Ellen,

I can’t say I have a favorite Christmas memory because like you they’ve blurred together but each one just as important as the next. Hopefully next year the holiday season will be back to normal again. This has been a year none of us will forget. Happy holidays, dear friend & furriends!
