Friendly Fill-Ins Week 225

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. If you are looking for _____________________, try __________________________.

2. _____________________________ fills me with hope.

3. It’s only a matter of time before _________.
4. _________ is my favorite conversation topic.
My answers:
1. If you are looking for a show to binge watch, try The Blacklist. There are 7 seasons and it is so well written.
2. My faith fills me with hope. I know everything happens for a reason even if it isn’t always clear.
3. It’s only a matter of time before this whole COVID thing is a distant memory.  I hope.
4. Anything to do with cats is my favorite conversation topic. I am always willing to discuss Nicolas Cage too. 🙂
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

Please don’t tell Rosie that her sweater is a hand-me-down. Angle Phoebe wore it back in August 2017, a month before she went to The Rainbow Bridge.
We want to wish our Jewish friends Shanah Tovah as Rosh Hashanah ( The Jewish New Year) begins Friday night.

  1. Great Answers! And wes thought we recognized the sweater. Mom just gots home from having a roots canal and says she feels like she stopped a truck with her face so there is no Friday Post this week, Wes going to answer the Fill-ins here!
    1. If you are looking for something, try meditation.

  2. 1. If you are looking for a fulfilling type of work, try learning to be a nurses aide. Its hard work, but its a way to love those who need it, plus giving good care.

    2. Knowing God is always in control fills me with hope.

    3. It’s only a matter of time before good will overcome evil. Which also is related to #2, giving me even more hope.
    4. Talking about my furkids is my favorite conversation topic. (Or the funny things that happen in our family life…I love to chat about things like that with the residents care for.)

We’ll be mum about that sweater…and Happy Mewish New Year!

    1. Thank you for these great fill-ins. I have great respect for nurse’s aides, they do the most work for the least pay. Our 2 and 4 were similar. XO

  3. I do hope it is not too long before we can live our lives more normally, but I don’t think Covid will be a distant memory for many years.

  4. We sure like how you filled in your blanks……….and we also promise NOT to let Rosie know that sweater of hers wasn’t hers FIRST! Hee Hee

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. Ellen,

We finished season 6 of The Blacklist a few months ago. I’m happy to know that the 7th is now on Netflix. YAY! That is a very good show. James Spader is fabulous as Raymond Reddington. My faith keeps me grounded, filling me with hope, too. I believe COVID is on its way out, too. I think it’ll always be around like many other viruses but I don’t think it’ll be such a big deal before too long. I would’ve guessed cats would be your favorite conversation topic with Nicholas Cage following at very close second place. 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Don’t worry I won’t say a thing to Rosie. I got a lot of hand me downs as a kid but it was new-to-me stuff and I loved it all!

    1. I made a mistake in saying 7 seasons on Netflix. Only 6, but 7 is on dvd and I got it from the library. XO

  6. My lips are sealed about the sweater. I so hope you are right about #3. Sammy looks very festive for Rosh Hashanah. My Fill-Ins…
    1. If you are looking for peace and a break from stress, try the Calm app. I don’t know what I would do without it.
    2. Sitting quietly and watching our Florida birds at the beach or within the preserve where we live fills me with hope.
    3. It’s only a matter of time before we move to our new house.
    4. Anything cat or kitten is my favorite conversation topic. Horse stuff, too.
    Thank you for the Fill-Ins!

    1. Sammy thanks you. Thank you for these great answers. I will have to try that app.I didn’t know you were moving again. Near to where you live now?
      Have a nice weekend. XO

  7. For some reason, my comments here and at many other sites are not going through, so i hope you get one of them soon.

Anyway, second hand clothes are great, but i won’t breathe a word of it. Great answers, thanks for hosting!

  8. Meowser Ms. Ellen, I will investigate Blacklist, but only watch if it looks child friendly…. hope it isn’t on Netflix …. cancelled that due to them pushing Cuties, which looked very much like child porn, to me. Hope you have a wonderful day and weekend. Thank you for hosting this blog hop.

  10. Management told us that we’ll be working remotely until at least the first of the new year, so we’ve still got months of this ahead of us. It would be nice if that was the end…

  11. Fantastic fill-ins! You answered #2 in such an inspiring way. And I completely agree on #4. I can go from utter to silence to talking someone’s ear off if cats enter the conversation. Purrs to all of you!

    1. Yes, Phoebe would have been your auntie and she would have adored you. And thank you to you and your mum for the thank you card she sent. XO

  13. The sweater is lovely, it is all I know! Love your posts and love your fascination of Nicolas Cage. I love my Jewish friends, when many of us worked together we helped each other by working each others holidays so the other could enjoy them. Great folks when I worked in the hospital many years ago. 🙂 The new blogger is giving me a hard time. I finally came over by googling your blog name. Sigh….Have a great weekend. HUGS across the miles XO XO XO XO
