Friendly Fill-Ins Week 207

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link ( see below) to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I just finished _______________________________.
2. I am hoping to start ______________________________.
3. _________ is my idea of success.
4. When I can’t sleep, I _________.
My answers:
1. I just finished reading book 13 in The Klepto Cat Mystery series. I never thought I would get so interested in a fiction series.
2. I am hoping to start cleaning the kitchen this weekend. I was on a roll thoroughly cleaning the house a month ago, but lost my wind.
3. A feeling of contentment is my idea of success.
4. When I can’t sleep, count backwards from 100 and I never get all the way to one.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
Here is a flashback from May 2015 of Angel Phoebe waving(or scratching her ear).

  1. Thank you for the book series recommendation! I found a couple on Audible and I’ve added them to my wish list!

  2. Hi, Angel Phoebe!!

    1. I just finished a hard shift at me=y work…made worse by the full moon…yup it does have effects, LOL!
    2. I am hoping to start making our patio into a mini garden with veggies and flowers in pots and planing boxes..(Sometimes they are very lush and sometimes like last year they are ho hum…)
    3. Eating yummy produce I grew myself is my idea of success.
    4. When I can’t sleep, I pray for others.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I didn’t realize that the full moon effected the elderly. I know what you mean, homegrown veggies are best. Praying is always a good idea. XO

  3. Hi Angel Phoebe! *waves back*
I sorted all my kitchen cupboards last week and was ashamed to see the dates on some of the jars and cans! At least everything is in date and order now. I just have to keep it like that.

  4. Glad you enjoyed some fiction! That’s a lot of books in a series and it sounds like you are definitely hooked…..tee hee. Good for you back into cleaning – it sure is a good thing to do now that we can’t do much else isn’t it. Love that photo of Angel Phoebe whatever it is that got her to put her paw up – I think she’s imitating “Lucky Cat” !

    Hugs, Pam (and Teddy)

  5. Klepto cats! Sounds intriguing.

Many people have cleaned their whole houses while staying home, and many have figured out that it wasn’t a lack of time that prevented them from doing it before, they just don’t want to!

It looks like Angel Phoebe is waving, so beautiful.

    1. It is a great series, just one klepto cat that steals the evidence in crimes 🙂

  6. Awww that’s a sweet photo of Angel Phoebe. (((Hugs))) Laynie says Angel Phoebe could be scratching her wavy ear. 🙂

That sounds like a very interesting series. I don’t usually read fiction either, but sometimes one grabs me and I love it.

Have a blessed weekend, Ellen. 🙂

    1. Thank you. I am so happy you were able to join this week. Have a blessed weekend too. XO

  7. Angel Phoebe is waving. Or maybe scratching her ear. Cute and a precious memory.

    Love all your fill-ins.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  8. great answers! I have never tried counting backwards…I use the alphabet to take me back to snoring! Cheers!

  9. I’ve heard about the The Klepto Cat Mystery series and I’m very curious about it.
I just finished reading Inferno by Dan Brown and it wasn’t a good pick to read during this pandemic because the story is about a crazy cientist who wants to unleash a plague.
    Have a great weekend!

  10. We like your answers to the fill ins!
Mum has been doing a lot of reading and cleaning too.
She has also been goving us pawsome belly rubs!
    Purrs,Georgia and Julie

  11. Really good answers! When I can’t sleep, oh, never mind, that doesn’t happen! Such a sweet flashback.

  12. Great answers! And what a sweet photo of Angel Phoebe. Have a great weekend.

  13. I wish I could get to sleep, but it’s not my mind that’s racing; it’s Sweetie pawing at my face!

  14. I like your fill-ins I can’t even count backwards let alone reach number one heheh!

Have a booktastic and safe weeknd 😷😷😷

  15. I love the Klept Cat series. I’m so far behind though. Someday I will catch up 🙂 Have a great weekend!

    1. I am determined to catch up before my free trial of Kindle unlimited runs out June 17th. Hope you have a nice weekend too. XO

  16. Nice answers. ~grin~ And what a sweet photo of angel Phoebe. Be well, my dear.

  17. I’m sure she’s waving, Ellen…*waves back* …When I’m counting mousies and birdies, I can’t sleep anymore, so I make my dreams count😸Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞

  18. Fantastic fill-ins guys! Happy Friday all! XOX

  19. Yay for finding such a wonderful series of kit kat books
Yep it does take just the right set of circumstances to get into the cleaning mode
    Hugs Cecilia

  20. I know what you mean about cleaning. I got so much done when this stay at home started, but now I have to push myself to do things. That is such a cute photo.

  21. What a cute pic of Angel Phoebe. TW counts down from 1000 when she can’t sleep but never finishes cos she starts thinking about other stuff or stressing about not sleeping.

  22. Great fill ins!
We couldn’t get The Female Human in gear to do fill ins for us but I did spend some quality time with her this week teaching her to fetch!
    Purrs & Head Bonks,
    Oliver

  23. Mom says cleaning the kitchen is a never ending task:) When she can’t get to sleep, she tries to name a boy or girl name for every letter of the alphabet, or a city name, or a flower or fruit. Seems to work for her.

    Woos, Lightning and Timber

  24. Precious picture! I’ve read several of the Klepto Cat books too. There are SO many now!

  25. As for the #1 answer- dad says he feels the same way about the Harry Potter series. He was reluctant to start it, but once he did he couldn’t put the darn things down.

  26. Fantastic fill-ins! I really like your answer to #1. Isn’t it wonderful how some books are so addicting? I just started a fantasy series aimed at middle grade readers and I, an adult, am addicted. And I completely agree with you on #3, and I almost answered it the exact same way. Contentment and happiness are a great gauge of true success. And I love seeing flashbacks of sweet Angel Phoebe! Purrs!

  27. #2 – You and me both! HAHA
A few weeks ago I scrubbed the bathroom from top to bottom and felt very proud of myself. I even washed some windows. My plan was to wash the kitchen and my desire just fizzled out 🙂
