Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. Never have I ever ____________________.

2. I won’t ________________ again.

3. I believe I have good knowledge of _________.
4. _________ is my worst enemy.
My answers:
1. Never have I ever been skiing.
2. I won’t go to a VCA vet hospital again. I recently changed vet hospitals. Ever since VCA took over the one I was going to, it has gone downhill more and more.
3. I believe a have a good knowledge of cats. I have dealt with many behavioral and medical issues over the years.
4. Junk food is my worst enemy. Mainly Doritos and Smart Food which I can’t resist.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

And here is a blast from the past- Brody dressed for Pirate Day in 2016.
Don’t forget to comment on yesterday’s post to enter the Pirate giveaway. Winner will be announced Monday which is when I plan to post again, all depending on Noel and Prancie. Thank you all for the purrs and prayers.

  1. Great answers! You and Noel are in my thoughts and I’m praying for as little suffering as possible for the both of you. Sweet Blessings, Deborah

  2. Oh, MY, sorry your vet is not as you would want them to be.

I did try cross country and downhill skiing, but Never will I go downhill skiing again…I nearly killed myself on the bunny hill, MOL!

I have not tried skateboarding, but I don’t think its a good idea at this point in my life.

Stress is my worst enemy as it makes me eat junk food…

Purring for Prancie and Noel. ♥

  3. Your kitties are in my prayers and so are you, Ellen!

I think that you know a great deal about cats. You were made for them! 🙂

Doritos are a danger to many of us. haha We’re addicts here, too!

We’re dealing with tons of storms right now due to Tropical Storm (now depression, I think) Imelda, so the computer is spending most of the time unplugged. Thankfully it broke long enough for me to comment here and to make my post!

    Have a blessed weekend!

  4. Your fill-ins are great………snacking is my downfall too. Sending hugs and prayers for Noel and Prancie! That photo of Brody as a pirate is ADORABLE……..

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom too

  5. Ellen,

I’ve been water skiing but not snow skiing. These days you won’t catch me doing either. I think I could’ve gone with junk food being my worse enemy especially ice cream. Oh, how I love that stuff, just give me a bowl anytime and I’m a happy girl. Thanks for hosting the Friday fun, my friend!

  6. I bet you are almost as knowledable about cats as my sister-in-law who works for a vet and has about twenty cats. Maybe more so because she tends to be closed minded about more natural solutions to health issues.

  7. Love all your fill-ins. I’ve never been skiing either. Too late now. Oh on the junk food. Junk food is so good.

Brody is a cutie pie as a pirate.

Thank you for co-hosting Friendly Fill-ins. See you Monday.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  8. I’m glad we don’t have Smart Food here. The new place I go to is a VCA hospital. That’s where Dr. D. works now so I hope it doesn’t go downhill.

  9. I have never been skiing either. I seem only too able to break bones without doing that! (Both lower legs, wrist and hairline skull fracture, but not at the same time!!)
I continue to send good thoughts for Noel and Prancie.

  10. Pets and purrs to Noel and Prancie. ~hugs~ I’d never heard of the VCA vet network. Thank you for that information. So far, our clinic continues to be independent and reliable. Take care!

  11. Cute photo of Brody:)) VCA took over my vets, here in Canada and I’ve noticed a big change. I’ve been going there for more than 30 years and it’s not the same anymore.

  12. That’s interesting about VCA. My vet was just taken over by them and I’ve been wondering about them. I’m moving anyway so I’ll need a new vet in our new area.

More purrs and prayers to Noel and Prancie.

    1. I don’t recommend them. They are very expensive and tend to have vets just out of school. Thank you. XO

  13. I’m hoping for the best for Prancie and Noel. It is very important to trust inyurvet and f you just can’t its ti,e to move on. I did just this thing when the other vets could not fgire out that Kali was allergic to commercial dry cat food.

You take the time you need to make your cats comfortable and yourself.

    Jean

  14. Your cats look cute in their pirate hats. Glad to read that Noel and Prancie are still around enjoying their golden cat years.

  15. Brody, you are the sweetest looking pirate. Every time i see you I’m reminded of your beginning, and look what a love you are now! Your mom definitely does know a thing or twenty about cats.

  16. I’ve never been skiing either. People can’t believe I live in New England and haven’t!
I was thinking VCA Vet was the one I went to a meeting with at BlogPaws, and they seemed good. Sorry they haven’t worked out for you.
You are always in our thoughts! ♥

  17. Sadly, we rarely go to VCA anymore, even though we’ve always really liked our vet there. (She’s taken care of all of us from 2002.) The problem is the costs have become extremely high and the vets are expected to upsell on every little thing.

  18. Brody makes a handsome pirate.
I’ve never been skiing either. I guess if you’re good at it, it looks like it could be a lot of fun to swoosh down a mountain.

I’ve had mixed experiences with VCA – never in terms of the quality of care, but more on the business/attitude side of things. After Raven was treated with radio-iodine and needed fluids & meds, they were the only ones willing to see her and the vet was completely comfortable handling the situation.

  19. I also have never been skiing, and I don’t think I ever want to. I don’t trust myself to have any skill at that. We had the same answer for #3, and I agree that you most certainly have a great knowledge of cats. Captain Brody is downright adorable! Sending you all our purrs and prayers.

  20. Aaaaaaaaaaaaw Brody looks adorable. We don’t think we have any of those VETs ’round here, but we also don’t think they could get any worse. Mommy likes doritos too. We still don’t know ’bout the smart food. Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena
