4. I feel like _________ gives my life meaning.
My answers:
1. When I can’t read for at least an hour a day, I get grumpy.
2. Bring back Lemon Coolers. Does anyone remember those yummy cookies covered in powdered sugar?
3. I’m embarrassed to say how much I weigh. I actually don’t know the exact number because I forbid the Dr. to tell me.

And here is a flashback photo from August 2015. Angel Phoebe was boxing with Prancie while Angel Stinky looked on.Prancie and Phoebe used to always fight when they were hungry until they got a snack. Now Prancie knocks things down until she gets her snack.

  1. Reading is such an important part of my life, too, and those lemon cookies sound wonderful. Are you sure there aren’t any like them made by another company?

What our kitties won’t do to get our attention, right?

    Have a fabulous Friday!

    1. They were made for a while by another company, but I can’t find them now 🙁

  2. What an amazing coincidence! Caspurr and Shimshi also wrestle and box while waiting for Our Human to get their meals.
    Sweet pictures.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I always tell the Dr. not to tell me or I will get depressed and gain more weight. XO

  3. Meowser Ms. Ellen! Good answers. And thank you for hosting this hop. We like reading here, too.

  4. We bet Prancie misses Phoebe a lot. I never had the lemon coolers – but I love lemon bars and lemon sugar cookies … so it’s probably a safe bet that I’d love them.

  5. Oh my Mom says she remembers Lemon Coolers and they DO still make them! You’ve reminded her to get some next grocery trip. Love the boxing photo – TEE HEE……I box with my Mom sometimes but usually she winds up getting bit or scratched (by accident of course!). HAPPY FRIDAY……..

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. If she finds some, let me know 🙂 You are too sweet to box with your mom. XO

  6. I remember Lemon Coolers and I have substituted lemon bars for them with lemon cream icing! Not the same but it works… 🙂 Sweet flashback photo ♥♥♥
    My Fill-Ins ~
    1. When I can’t get outside I get a cranky.
    2. Bring back Toffee Crisp candy bars.
    3. I am embarrassed to say I have a stuffie named Suds Bunny and I cuddle Suds often.
    4. I feel like supporting and promoting National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Alzheimer’s Association gives my life meaning.

    1. I am not that much a fan of lemon , but I liked these. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. My hubby is like that when he can’t go outside too. I never had a toffee crisp, but I love toffee so I bet I would have liked it. No need to be embarrassed about the bunny, it is special because your mom gave it to you so it is like having a piece of your mom. How kind of you to support 2 great organizations. Have a nice weekend! XO

  7. I agree, reading is so good for the mind!
We need to be very careful handing out cat treats in this household, because the dogs like them as well, but mostly there are no boxing matches 🙂
    Have a fantastic week!

  8. Love your answers. Well except for the weight part. It’s hard when you get older to keep the weight down. I work at it every single day.

Love the kitties fighting until they got a treat. It worked and they knew it.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. I so enjoy doing these each week.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  9. We never heard of those lemon cookies but then again the peeps mostly like chocolate. TW is embarrassed to say what she weighs now especially when she used to weigh 95 lbs when she was i her 50s.

    1. I love chocolate too, but I loved these cookies too. I probably haven’t weighed 95 since I was a kid- I have been 5 ft 10 inches since I was about 12.

  10. I’ve been reading up a storm…well, audiobooking up a storm! And…horrors…I think I’d rather have a book (with pages) on my cell phone, so I can read a few pages whenever. I too need to lose weight; I’m much too heavy, but am finding that losing weight at my age is proving problematic as a DIY project. May need to talk to the doc.

    1. I prefer a book too because I read faster than the audios. It does get tougher as we age.

  11. We keep Dad reading every day so he doesnt get grouchy. Dad also loves any type of cake or cookies and since he does not buy them has started losing weight. He says after a few weeks a yogurt fills the spot

    1. I should try that, but I will crack soon- I need chocolate and I have tried chocolate yogurt- yuck.

  12. guys….weight iz knot import ant…if mom iz happee with her self N herz healtheez, THATZ whatz import ant….☺☺♥♥

  13. Great Flashback Friday photo. We enjoyed your Friendly Fill in answers. I think I remember Lemon Coolers when I was younger. Just saw a photo and now I remember. Yes, they should bring them back. Thanks for sharing. Have a fantastic upcoming weekend.

  14. I used to feel that way about reading and it’s driving me crazy, but I just can’t get my reading mojo back! For some reason my mind is just too scattered to concentrate on reading right now.

  15. Our mom has never owned a scale and never will, so the only time she actually knows her weight is when she goes to the doctor. It was steady for years and then the big M hit. :-\

  16. Aww what sweet kitties. 🙂

I think that you do an awesome job attending to your life’s purpose.

I am scared to get on the scale right now. I’ve been emotional eating and have probably gained 30 pounds since December!

    Lemon coolers sound yummy!

Not getting to read is a good reason to be grumpy.

Thanks for the fill-ins. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂

  17. I’ve never been a huge fan of lemon in food, so don’t remember those! I love the smell of it, but not the taste. LOL
When I don’t get my own way, I get grumpy. #spoiledbrat LOL!

  18. Our Female Human said “amen” when she read your fill in answer about getting on the scale. Our human closes her eyes and also forbids the nurse to day the number out loud! MOL!
    Purrs & Head Bonks,
    Alberto

  19. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I don’t remember Lemon Coolers, but my childhood friend’s mom used to make lemon bars that sound a lot like what you’re describing, and I loved those things. Now I’m hungry for some lemony sweets. Mmmm. And I agree 1000% with your #4! This flashback of Phoebe and Prancie looks like my kitties when they get hungry. I’ve learned that when the clowder starts fighting, I need to check the food bowls. Purrs to all!
