Friendly Fill-Ins Week 119

Time for The Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section.

1. ______________________ brings out the best in me.

2. _______________________makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat.
3. If money grew on trees, I would _________.

4. I have a fear of _________.
My answers:
1. A cat brings out the best in me. Just being near any cat makes me happy and more compassionate.
2. Humidity makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat. This summer has been so hot and humid. needless to say, I have not been pleasant to be around.
3. If money grew on trees, I would learn to climb them. All kidding aside, I would help every cat in the world.
4.I have a fear of my loved ones dying. I pray that I go first.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus. I am thrilled to be chosen as friend of the week for Friendship Friday.

And here is Joanie’s new mermaid costume complete with blue hair.

Well, you can’t really see the costume, but the hair looks good.

  1. Wow, you and our mom filled some of these in the same way. Joanie is incredibly adorable. We’ll check out Ramona’s post about you. Mom was the friend on Friday a few years ago. 2. Whoo! All that blue hair, MOL!!

    1. Sunny cool days brings out the best in me, cause I feel so much more energized!

    2. Hot weather, especially the humid ones makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat.I never say I wish it was summer!
    3. If money grew on trees, I would not watch my budget very carefully…and when cashiers ask me if I found everything I was shopping for, I always quip, yes, except the money tree. MOL!

    4. I have a fear of loosing my hubby to Alzheimer’s like we already lost his mom, and other family members..and Bro-in-law has it, early onset…so devastating.

    1. Thank you for your answers. I never wish it was summer either. I am sorry your brother-in-law already has alzheimer’s, that is so sad. XO

  3. I worry about loved ones dying, too. {{{Hugs}}} My grand-aunt walked in one morning to find her husband passed away in his recliner. That goes through my mind often here. Like you, I don’t want to be here when that happens.

I agree about the humidity. It has been totally horrible. I’m sorry you’ve had such a hot, miserable summer. I bet you are really looking forward to a beautiful fall season!

The kitties of this world are very blessed to have someone like you in it. So are the rest of us. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend.

    1. That must have been awful for your aunt. I can’t wait for Fall.
Thank you, you are sweet. I hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

      1. You’re welcome, Ellen. 🙂 So far, so good. We’re waiting now for our oldest daughter to get home. She’s been away for over two months. We’re all excited to have her coming home.

Thanks. How is yours going so far?

  4. My goodness but Joanie certainly does look VERY glam with her blue hair and mermaid costume! Congrats on being “Friend of the Week” – you are our friend of EVERY WEEK!!!

    Love, Teddy and Mom

  5. I always enjoy your answers! This summer has been horribly hot and humid here, too. It’s been awful. I’m looking forward to the cooler weather.

  6. Ms. Ellen, if you hate humidity, I don’t think you’d like Florida … it’s usually about 60-70% humidity (though mom swears it’s 90%… obviously, she exaggerates) and anywhere from 80 to mid-90s for temperature. I think it is wonderful weather, purrticulalry because it’s also wet season… Alas, the rain I adore comes with lightening, so it is very, very rare to be allowed to play in the rain.

  7. I guessed your first answer as soon as I saw it yesterday. ~grin~ Cute picture! Today gunk draining from my sinuses, making me cough and obstructing my crackling, asthmatic lungs, is making me grumpy. ~shakes head~ I’ll live. Be well!

  8. Joanie makes a beautiful mermaid.

I love all your answers. I so enjoy doing the Friendly Fill-ins. I know about your love for cats and I know you’d save every kitty everywhere if you had the funds.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  9. Great answers esp. #3. If money grew on trees, every greedy bastard—pardon the French—in the world would be cutting down trees to get it

  10. I agree with and relate to every single one of your answers. Cats really do have such an ability to bring out the best in so many people. They just make us so happy! And I almost put the same answer for you as #4, because it really is so true. I hope your Friday is fantastic!

        1. I love your sunflower selfie, and your other ones were adorable too. I am going to get a print of that 🙂 XO

  12. Humidity is the worst! Florida knows all too well. We’re not at all surprised by #3. You have the biggest heart for felines we’ve ever known, and the CB has many fine feline hoomins, too. So that’s saying a lot.

Joanie, you are amazing. We love your patient pictures!

  13. Good fill-ins this week! We’re used to the humidity up here. It’s the heat not many of us are used to because we never used to have much of it. We feel the same way about kitties being near us, especially when neighbor cats visit us in the garden. Our hearts just swell.

  14. If we had a lot of money, we would be sure there would be good homes for all the furries in the world. And maybe add a sibe or two to our pack:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  15. Heat is no fun and neither is cold. If there was a way to get San Diego weather without having to live in California, i’d probably want to do it.

    Nice costume!

  16. Joanie, turn around…so we can see the back! I am resigned to the fact that I’ll be left alone in my dotage, so my nieces and nephews already know that I’m the ‘cool’ Aunt! ROFLOL!

  17. joanie I daresay blue IS your color now to have some sapphires to offset; I’m thinking a nice pendant. we hope everyone has a great weekend ~~~~~~~ hugs from dai$y =^..*= ♥♥

  18. I thought cats would be your #1… ♥
I am so with you on #4. I have told CH it has to be me first… he better listen to me.
    1. Being outside with the birds, AllieGators, turtles, lizards, and trees bring out the best in me… as long I am on the screened porch… 🙂
    2. Humidity makes me grumpier than Grumpy Cat. Sorry Ellen but you got the answer!
    3. If money grew on trees, I would make sure that no cat or kitten ever suffered.
    4. I have a fear of my air conditioner giving out!!!!
Oh yeah, the hair does look marvelous! Costume, too. Joanie is a wonderful cat model… I think she is a patient kitty. She is a sweetie!.

    1. Thank you, cats are the best 🙂 I tell my hubby the same thing and he reminds me how much older he is. His folkis had a big age difference too and his mom passed at 50, his Dad at 91 so you never know. Now that you mention it, I fear the a/c going out too. Do you see alligators? I saw on the news an other one got a woman walking her dog- scary. Have a nice weekend! XO

  19. I feel more at peace when around my cats too. I wish money grew on trees too. I’d be right up there with you. Haha

    Have a wonderful weekend, Ellen.

  20. We love your answers to the fill ins 🙂
WE kitties bring out the best in mum too. MOL!
Thanks for helping us celebrate our blogoversary today 🙂

  21. I’m terrified of losing Bear. I never forget that he’s 12. There are nights where I literally can’t sleep thinking about how much different my life will be. It hurts all the way to my core. Oddly enough, I don’t fear the death of people – but I’m definitely closer to my cats.

    1. I have had that same fear for KaChoo, Phoebe and Lucy, but I somehow managed to survive after they left me- I still think of them daily though. XO

  22. That 4th answer is difficult. We wanna live long, but if TBT goes over The Bridge before us, we might end up in a shelter or something…

  23. Joanie! THat outfit is stunning! I wonder what I would look lie as a mermaid…Mommy says the long hair would make me look like a hippy though.
