Happy Friday everyone! First off, Phoebe has something to tell everyone. 007I am so embarassed- and very sorry. I thought CK was giving me a boyfriend, but she was just going to let me” borrow” him to go to a dance. I am very sorry for all the drama and confusion. Hope everyone still likes me. Now back to Mom and Lucy:

Today Lucy and I are not recommending a book, but we have a newsletter to recommend. We are fortunate to live less than an hour from Cummings School of Vet Medicine, part of Tufts University. They publish a monthly newletter with many articles on new discoveries in feline health and behavior. I used to subscribe and found it very informative. Then I was mad at Tufts because my beloved KaChoo died there in 2010 so I didn’t reorder the newsletter.

My kitty was sick and wasn’t going to make it so I can’t blame them. They did convince me to spend $6,000 on testing though. I would like to think they were trying their best to help and not trying to raise money for the school. Overall, it is a great resource that is open 24/7, one just needs to be reasonable when it comes to testing. I think I figured the more I spent, I would save KaChoo. I didn’t want to face what I knew in my heart and I am sure many people do the same.

I am getting 10 issues for $20 which seems fair for some detailed articles about health. I plan to share the imformation I get, but if you are interested in getting it yourself, here is the link: http://vet.tufts.edu/publications/catnip.html.

  8. Mommy has subscribed for two years now. It is jammed with real and valuable info. Mom didm;t save the first three issues but she does now! xxoo Tell you mommy MY mommy understand how she felt. ALL the mommy’s here do.

  9. Well dat’s still pawsum of CK. Weez da kinda girlys dat don’t hav lots of beaus, so we don’t hav any to giv ya’, but meez sure ifin yous just wait, there’s a weally nice mancat out there fur ya’.

    As fur da Mewsletter, mommy used to get dat, but not anymore as da cost be too much fur us these days. It wuz a pawsum mewsletter and mommy still has all hers old copies cuz they wuz full of helpful info. Sorry yous had to spend so much and still lost, dat’s one of da weasons mommy is very cautious. Hers had to pay many times fur sumfin’ hers no longer had, and she just dusn’t wanna get into da vishus cycle again. Altho’ we do unnewstand yous anger and we hope same as you dat they wusn’t just buildin’ on to da school.

    1. Yes, it was nice of her, but mom says no dating now. I can be friends with everyone, but no romance-phooey.

  14. No apology needed. I’m sorry I ruined the dating thing for you. Just make the mancats *think* you like them and be yourself. I don’t date either; I have “flings.”

    TW used to get Catnip ages ago and then Pop suscribed last year. I don’t know what he did with them but TW never got to read them.

  16. Phoebe, you look very sweet in that photo as does Lucy in her fleece! Tell your Mama we understand about her giving away all those green papers. Some times it is hard to let go and accept everyone has a time to leave the world and when that times arrives , it can’t “unarrive” no matter how many green papers are spent.XO

  17. I think a borrowed boyfriend might be better than a permanent one. This way you get a companion for the dance but you’re not tied to him for a long time. I’m not saying you should be fickle or loose with your affections, but it could be nice to date several man cats and have lots of fun dates with a variety of suitors.

    1. I have decided none of my kitties can date, Phoebe will write about it tomorrow.

    1. Yes, I think she does. I covered her with my fleece pajama top the other day and she stayed there for hours.
