Hi everyone! This month we got to review 2 great products. I usually just ask for one which I did, but they wanted reviewers to list alternatives so I ended up getting the product I asked for and the alternative because Chewy is so generous. I am thrilled because now I have something else that Miss Pick, I mean Miss Phoebe likes.

I was afraid no one would like Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline Formula With Salmon and Roasted Venison in Gravy because it has square chunks of the food in gravy. Most of the time, my cats just lick the gravy, but they actually liked the chunks and ate those too.

Phoebe loved it ( and has for a few days )Prancie loved it too. And Brody And Sammy, he is on a special diet, but I did let him have a few bites to test it.

Joanie was even able to eat it and she usually gets sick after eating canned food. We ended up with 12 out of 13 giving paws up. KaTwo won’t touch canned food. The best thing is, the food is grain free and doesn’t contain carrageenan. It does have Guar Gum which I know some try to avoid, not sure why though.

Chewy has it on sale this month, for $16.56 you can get a case of 24 cans ( 3 ounce) , they also have 5 ounce available. And Chewy always has free shipping on orders over $49 so why not stock up.

  3. Chewy seem to have a good product there and a great review and clearly you guys liked this these products. I am salivating as we speak! Alas we don’t get them here in UK. It would be interesting to know though if there is UK version to try?

  5. We got used to Sammy eating only pate style food but I may try some chunky stuff on Teddy….he might not be as picky as Angel Sammy was! Venison – yum.

  8. Never could get our Z Cat to eat wet food. She would lick the gravy off but that was it. I bet she might have found some of these new foods worth eating. We had a little girl cat show up a year ago in the winter and she wasn’t picky about her canned food… she ate anything you put in front of her! She has a great home now after being adopted at the shelter where we volunteer.

  9. Mmmm. This sounds like it was a real winner at your house! I really wanted to try this for my kitties, but they don’t do well with fish flavored food, and this only came in those varieties. Your review is making me second guess that, though. We’re glad you all enjoyed it!

  11. 12 of 13 paws up is a good score! Everyone looks like they are enjoying it. Abbey is on a prescription venison food. I bought the canned version, but no one would touch it. Maybe they would like something like this.

    1. I bet they would like it. There is also a venison and green pea by Natural Balance that my cats like too.

  18. Yay! That sounds like it’s really great! I’m always so thankful for reviews like this! Makes me curious to try if Murli would like it, and if she would be able to tolerate it despite her IBS. And Murli only likes food that looks like this, with gravy and all. So it seems all just as Murli loves it?

    1. I bet she would like it and it doesn’t have caraggeenan which tends to cause upset tummies. I have read raw diets are also good for kitties with IBS.

  25. Great review awnty Ellen. Glad so many liked it. As fur da gums, peeps purrfur to avoid them cuz they’re unneeded thickeners and some are carcinogenic. But Gaur gum is in tons of stuffs, so at some point you have to say, I’ll either cook fur my pet or suck it up and feed da least of da toxic. And this food one of da okay ones. Big hugs
