Penny’s Tips

Hi everyone! I have a repeat tip for you today. I just want to remind you that Pennies are great for filling plastic Easter eggs. I prefer nip in mine, but the kiddos will like the pennies.

Today we are focusing on the letter N in the A-Z Blogging Challenge. To see more blogs participating in the A-Z hop, click here. N is for nail clipping. To save money , you can clip your cat’s nails at home. I do most of my cats nails except for KaTwo and Polar Bear- even the vet techs can’t do theirs unless they are drugged. If you have never done it before, you can ask them to show you the next time you are at the vets. There are also a lot of videos on youtube that show you how.

Penny’s Tips Volume 36

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? I haven’t been able to give a tip in a month. Now I won’t be getting bumped because of Chewy because they ended their influencer program so you will see a lot more of me.

You probably want to know why I have on this joker hat. It is because mom is an idiot I have the perfect April Fool’s Day joke for you to use on someone.

Take a penny and glue it to the sidewalk then have fun watching people try to pick it up. Just be careful not to get glue on your paws.

See you next week!

Penny’s Tips Volume 35

Hi everyone!Did you miss me last week when mom bumped my post for a Chewy review?

I am hiding in this tunnel because mom said she wants to start pinching pennies. Can you believe it? She even found a website with tips on how to pinch them! It is called The Prudent Penny Pincher. It is similar to the other website I told you about. Mom is all excited because she found a bunch of Grinch themed recipes on there. And lots of decorating ideas. She claims she won’t pinch me, but I am not taking my chances.

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? Happy Chinese New Year! It is the year of the pig.

Do you know what you are? My mom is a rooster. If you don’t know what you are, click here.

Did you know that pennies in Bermuda used to have pigs on the back? My  mom has some old ones, she as never been to Bermuda, but someone her Gramma knew gave them to her when she was a kid ( a long time ago).

Hi everyone! I am here with a New Year’s tip for you. Another blog, SmartSchoolhouse, wrote about The Penny Challenge. She even has a cool free printable available. Click here.

You save pennies every day for a year. On day one, you save one, day two, you save two- you get the idea. By the end of the year, you will have $667.95! Unfortunately, I don’t know where to get that many pennies from. I think my folks will notice their missing change if I take that much.

Penny’s Tips Volume 30

Hi everyone! Is the Christmas season causing you stress?

The other day while researching pennies, I found a great penny meditation. Here is a link to it. It is on a religious website and I am not endorsing their beliefs, but the meditation is a nice way to relax. Click here.

Now I need to get this fat guy out of my box.

Penny’s Tips Volume 29

Hi everyone. Before I give you my tip, I want to give my condolences to Marg on the loss of her sweet boy, Lucky.

Sorry I look so sleepy. I am loving the heating pad.

My tip for today is to remind you that today is Giving Tuesday. You could donate your spare pennies ( or dollars) to a good cause today. We just made a donation to Marg’s Gofund me page in memory of Lucky. We don’t have much to donate, but every little bit helps.

Penny’s Tips Volume 28

Hi everyone! I have a great tip today just in time for your holiday baking.

You can use pennies as pie weights. My mom just learned what that is….every time she makes a crust for the chocolate cream pie, it has bubbles on the bottom. I hope she tries this.

Sorry, I insist she give me my treats in advance.

You just put the pie crust in the bottom ( use your imagination, I didn’t have a crust for the photo).

Then you put parchment paper or aluminum foil over it and line it with pennies, then bake as usual. They will hold it down so it won’t bubble. I recommend washing the pennies first even though there is a layer protecting the crust.
