Hi, everyone! Today I am not joining the reading hop because I have nothing great to tell you about. I am reading, but nothing that I am thrilled with enough to recommend. I have been reading less books too because I scored a bunch of magazines at the library last week. Every January they clean house and give away the previous year’s worth of magazines. I was able to get HGTV, Prevention and some others too. I don’t take the entire year’s worth, I go through them and take some of each so there will be some left for others. I pass them along when I am done with them too.

    We have oodles of magazines here, and they sure tien to pile up…when our auntie comes she brings boxes full of them…then petcretary sorts them into piles of type and then she arranges them by date…then she decides which ones will get read (more like quickly perused), and then some get passed on while others get trashed, MOL! She likes to cull good recipes. so she saves them till the last. She always has a bunch in her car to read if she has to wait or to take to appointments…those she leaves for others to read. Some of them are in Dutch, so those take a bit longer to read through…but it is how she keeps up with her Dutch language skills, else she would loose them.

  8. Oh my goodness, Sammy, you are the cutest shrimp ever! We are just wrapping up our annual holiday reading around here, and then we’ll back to our usual reading habits. I got some books for Christmas that I can’t wait to get my hands on! Purrs to all of you!

  11. Way to go on the magazines. We have a friend that supplies my husband with lots of magazines during the year. He loves getting them.

    Sammy is a huge awww. I love to watch kitties sleep and I love the positions they can get themselves in to sleep.

  13. Over the weekend, I finished Apprentice Cat by Virginia Ripple – it is from the point of view of cats and the main protagonist is Toby, sort of a feline Harry Potter.

  21. Yippee for free magazines! Our Mom is reading a triple novel, meaning three novels in one big book. It’s her first exposure to Dean Koontz and since these three novels were written in the seventies and early eighties, she’s already rolling her eyes left and right at the dated references. We like the sound of shrimping much better than “doing the donut.”

    1. I haven’t heard it called doing the donut 🙂 I read a few Dean Koontz- too scary.
