Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays. Joanie and Gremmie are posing with two books that I am currently reading.
The Rye Bread Marriage by Michaele Weissman is a memoir. The author tells of her long marriage to someone much different than herself and how they make it work.
I am also reading another memoir, A Pocketful of Happiness by Richard E Grant. Sadly, he lost his wife of almost 40 years recently. Before she passed, she told him to find a pocketful of happiness every day and this book tells of what he finds.
Rosie will be here tomorrow, but she won’t be happy. There is a half day of school so I will have The Great One and Typhoid Mary here.
Rosie is so pretty! <3
Thank you. XO
A daily pocketful of happiness is an excellent goal. We’re trying to do that here.
We all need to do that.
I always make sure I have a pocketful of patience too…esp at my work, LOL!
Good idea. XO
The kitties and Gremmie are lookin’ cute, as always! XO
Thank you. XO
Your books are just wondrous. And if mama can offer another four, they are the Osman books starting with The Thursday Murder Club and now mama is reading The Last Devil to Die and is very moved by Osman’s amazing way with words about one of the characters who is beginning dementia….Thank you for your book suggestions. LOVE that one must find a pocketful of happiness every day…..
Thank you to your mama for these suggestions, I will check them out. XO

It is amazing that sometimes we have a day where there is only a tiny thing that is happiness. But if we pick it out we can make it become much bigger so it overtakes the sad.
Very true, but there is something every day to smile about> XO
Poor Rosie, she will have to go in hiding!
Yes, she will. XO
OH my gosh…to the bed and zip under it
Good idea. XO
Joanie and Gremmie are adorable! Rosie, you will be okay when The Great One and Typhoid Mary visit.
Thank you. She gets nervous even though they don’t even try to touch her. XO
You’re welcome, Ellen. Callie gets nervous when anyone is around other than us and hides under the bed.
We have many like that. XO
What a precious thing for his wife to tell him.
When my daughter was in Browie Scouts there was a song they sang about having a pocket full of brownie smiles. It had hand motions too very cute
Hugs Cecilia
That sounds cute. XO
Charlee: “Our Dada is currently reading a book called ‘The Last Watch’ which is the fourth book in the Night Watch series. These books are translated from Russian and are about the eternal conflict between the forces of Light and Darkness. Also there are two more books after this one in the series so apparently the name is a lie …”
Yes, I guess that is the wrong title.
Gremmie and Joanie are adorable and so smart reading all those books ~ lol ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thank you. XO
