Awww…Monday

Hi everyone. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .

After I posted the selfies yesterday, Penny decided to pose with Santa too.

Remember how I told you I was going to read on Christmas Eve? This is what I read.

Lucy &Desi: The Love Letters by Lucie Arnaz just came out last month. I have always been a big fan of Lucy, so I was eager to read this. Their daughter found the letters with her mother’s belongings after she passed in 1989. She felt they were too private to share back then, but for some reason (probably money) she decided to share them.

Lucy saved all the letters that her and Desi wrote to one another when he was in the service.  She saved the letters despite being happily married to someone else when she passed. I really enjoyed the book but felt strange reading something so personal. Copies of the actual letters are in the book as well as a typed version to make them easier to read. There are also a lot of photos too.

Rosie will be here tomorrow with a recap of Christmas and probably some complaints of all 3 kids being here Monday.

  1. Sweet pic of Penny, and Santa. That sounds like an interesting book. I always liked Lucy. I look forward to Rosie’s gossip.

  2. Chaplin: “That does sound like an interesting and very personal book, and we agree that probably money was involved in the decision to release it now.”
Charlee: “Our Dada says, ‘See also every time Fleetwood Mac goes back out on tour even though they hate each other’, whatever that means.”

  3. Penny snuck in at the last minute!
Lucille Ball was a remarkable person, and Desilu sponsored “Star Trek”, the original series, so I’ll always be thankful.

  4. What a great shot.

I would love to read this book. I loved Lucy. She was so funny.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥

  5. Good for Penny! Dusty is really getting into these book reviews. I will be looking forward to Rosie’s recap of Christmas. I bet she will have something to say about the kids being there today. I hope you had fun with them.

  6. I’ve got letters from my grandparents, they are very special. Even if my grands were famous, I don’t know if I’d be willing to do this, no matter the money. Oh, well.
