Awww…Monday

Hi everyone. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .

Dusty is posing with a book I just finished reading. Raising Hare: A Memoir by Chloe Dalton was really good. I will warn you there are some tough parts, but if I could get through it, I am sure you can too. The author finds a baby hare while out walking. Several hours later it is still there so she rescues it. It is almost impossible to raise a baby hare, but somehow she does by allowing it freedom in addition to her care. It is really interesting to learn about hares. I used to have a lot of domestic rabbits, but they were not nearly as domesticated as cats. I think most of you would enjoy this book.

Rosie will be here with all the latest tomorrow.

  1. That sounds good! There are usually a lot of baby rabbits and one or two large ones that adopt my yard starting in the spring. I haven’t seen any yet this year unfortunately. I hope they come back — theyre always fun to watch, except when we surprise each other by accident when I’m gardening.

  2. Dusty looks so wise posing with your book!
We sometimes have bunny nests in our yard…but I truly wish they wouldn’t.because our dogs being terriers, including Angel MJF would destroy the nest and the babies and even the adults if they could catch them. Horrid thing to deal with, but it’s hard to undo instincts that are bred in. I have not seen any baby anything this year except a dead baby bird that was blown out its nest during those bad storms we had. However I have seen small groundhog holes….sigh…I hope the dogs have scared them away, because I haven’t seen any of them. (And no dead ones as yet and hopefully not at all…)

I hope Dusty is starting to feel better on her new meds. And I enjoyed the selfies from Sunday.

  3. LOVE the title and yes, it looks like a good book. Mama does have trouble with the parts that are sad or cruel in books but she can skim over those easily. MERCI for all your recommendations, creative Ms E.

  4. When I was about 10 years old we had some baby bunnies in the front yard that have been abandoned by their mom. We brought three of them in the house to be raised and thankfully all three lived to be released. I do understand it’s difficult to raise wild rabbits of any kind

  5. What a cute picture of Dusty, and the book sounds interesting. I never had bunnies, but I had a baby duck, turtles, and of course, cats.

  6. My mom avoids any and all that has to do with sad and the bad things regarding any type of animals at all…so, that’s not for her Otherwise it sounds sweet.

  7. Sounds like a good read. I always enjoy hearing about the books you read.

    Dusty is most adorable.

  8. I had two pet rabbits when I was a young girl. I don’t know how we came to by them. Anyway, one escaped and the neighborhood dogs killed it and the other I don’t know what became of it.

  9. Hi Dusty, and Happy Monday. Thank you for helping your mom tell us about that book.
