Aww…Monday

Hi everyone. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays.

Joanie and Gremmie are posing with my latest reading material.

Every January the local library gives away all the previous year’s magazines. I always get the HGTV ones and I also scored some Country Living. I love looking through them for ideas and using some of the pictures for my vision board.

Does your local library give old magazines away?

Joanie’s blood work wasn’t too bad. She did need her thyroid meds increased, but kidney values remained the same. She is still being picky even with the appetite stimulant, but as long as she eats something, I am happy. I have many, many choices for her. And the vet told me Temptations are nutritionally complete so if that is all she wants to eat, that is OK.

  1. I’m so glad Joanie’s kidney values are the same! And also that she is still eating. I’m not sure if our library gives away their old magazines. They have a bookstore where they sell donated books and magazines at low prices, so I suspect anything they discard is sold there, too. Cute picture! XO

  2. I am glad Joanie’s kidney values remain the same. When Flynn was ill he would eat only Temptations. I figured it was better to eat them than nothing. I used to call it his junk food diet but it kept him going until he ate again.

  3. Sweet Joanie, you look fabulous today and we love all the magazines. My library does that too a couple times a year they clean up and I try to find some good stuff mostly for the pictures. And actually I save them to look at in the winter to help on the dark days. You be a good girl and keep eating as much as you can.

  4. Good to know about Temptations. Gracie is a picky eater too. She prefers rotisserie chicken which is not nutritionally complete but it gets her eating the regular cat food.

  5. I hear you about being happy when they eat anything. Prayers for sweet Joanie.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. xo ♥

  7. Good report Joanie….you have excellent care.
I have subscribed to “Our State” magazine for over 30 years has wonderful articles and I’m still learning about the wonders of NC. I have gradually cut back on my subscriptions. Most recent was Reader’s Digest. Now I just get Our State and TV GUIDE. I used to love Cat Fancy, Good House Keeping, Southern Living but gradually they all had more advertisements than articles,

  8. Really? That is great news about Temptations! I will remember that. And Joanie, good. I am so glad to hear you are still doing well considering all. Lots of love to you.

  9. Glad Joanie got a good vet report – and we are glad to hear that about Temptations as our older blind kitty will eat Temptations when he isn’t as enthused about his other food.

  10. I don’t know what our library does with old magazines, I’m glad you got some.

It’s good to hear Joanie is doing okay. Yes, on the Temptations label are instructions for how to feed them exclusively. My cats would love it but it would be too expensive to do that for this crew.

  11. I’m glad Joanie’s bloodwork is okay and that’s she eating some. 🙂

I like your blog design change. The kitty background is cute! Have a pawwsome week, my furriend!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Yes, I have a vision board I made last year, but it needs more work. I have a photoshopped photo of me and Nic Cage on it and a skinny me from college, St. Michael, and words- money and healthy cats. XO

  13. Healing Pawkisses for sweet Joanie🙏 Our libraries also do that, and they also sell books for an euro, when they have enough of it, Joanie and Gremmie😹 Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞

  14. Glad to hear that Joanie is bloodwork came back without serious concerns. Sending lots of healthy purrs and vibes.

Growing up, we would always get books from our local libraries annual sale. Often things I wouldn’t have otherwise read.
