And the Winner Is

Hi everyone! Thank you to all who attempted my quiz yesterday, it was as tough as Sammy’s Tuesday Teasers. No one got them both correct, but several of you got one right so anyone with one correct got entered into the giveaway.

DSCF1575

The first photo was variegated horseradish. My folks love their horseradish and Mom saw a photo of a variegated one in a magazine. She couldn’t find one in the seed catalogs so she bought it from someone on ebay 3 years ago and it is doing very well. The only one that knew it was horseradish was Little Binky and Pipo and Minko came close, they knew what family it was from.

The second photo was potatoes and several of you knew that: Flynn, Critters in the Cottage, Pipo and Minko, Mark’s Mews, Eastside Cats and Animal Shelter Volunteer Life.

And the award goes to, oops, sorry, I am watching the Tony Awards and I got carried away. The winner is: Pipo and Minko!! Congratulations!

Mom thought this photo was Awww… worth for Comedy Plus’ Awwww..Mondays

Snowball really loves me, sometimes she gets a little to close:

My Grammie will be here soon , I can’t wait. I love her so very much.

  1. You are so creative and clever. I get behind on weekends, but still would not have gotten this!

I am trying to put together a schedule, so I can be ahead of myself, like I used to do. I try to work around Bill’s schedule.

    HUGS!

    1. Thank you 🙂 We try to have fun. I need to blog ahead too, I do posts the night before. XO

  2. Wow, horseradish, yes! Mama even grew it loooong ago and really should have remembered how beautiful it is. But her Mona Lisa potatoes do not look anything like those. More like tomato plants. Her guru said he turns over the flowering potato foilage to the ground and the potatoes will be larger. Congrats to winners!

    1. This horseradish is variegated so that is probably why it wasn’t recognizable. We will have to try that with a few of our potatoes , we have a lot of them- we grown Kennebeks and blue ones. XO

  3. AH HA! Horseradish……….and Mom noticed the mounds of dirt in the second photo but didn’t think of potatoes (duh). Concats to the smarties who knew!

    Hugs, Sammy

  4. Wheeeee!
    We won?? Fur sure?? Pawsome!

We would nevfur have guessed/known horseradish…maybe if we tasted it, um…no…maybe not good fur kitties, MOL!

Snowball sure looks funny getting oh so furry close.
A lot of residents were watching those awards where meowmy works.

    Have a great week!

    1. Yes, you won- congratulations!! The awards were good, but sad in many parts because of what happened in Florida.
We hope you have a nice week too.

  5. Wow! we were really wrong! Congrats to Pipo and Minko! Mom loves horseradish but she didn’t know what it looked like while still in the ground!

    1. I wish you lived near us, we grind the horseradish in vinegar and put it in jars- your Mom would love it.

  6. MOL..Granny never thought about patatoes…she is such a patatoehead… 😀 Congratulations to Pipo and Minko. Pawkisses for a great day with your Grammie 🙂 <3

  7. What a great quiz that was. You certainly stumped me! Congrats to the winner!

And, my goodness, Snowball really does “love” you, Phoebe! Purrs, and I hope you had fun with your grammie!

    1. Glad you liked the quiz 🙂 Snowball loves me a little too much- MOL! I had fun with Grammie and lots of treats too. XO

    1. If you lived near us, we would give you some of our horseradish when we grind it and add vinegar- it is hot stuff.
I had to eat the treats, I didn’t want to hurt Grammie’s feelings. 🙂

  8. Congratulations to the winner.

I know how much you love grandma. I linked you to Awww Mondays.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your mom. ☺

  11. Concats to Pipo and Minko! My mum thought it looked like horseradish but the variegated colour threw her off the scent. She said they used to have wild horseradish growing here but dad dug it up because it spread so much.
That is a cute photo of you and Snowball.

    1. We figured the variegated would throw everyone off. We love horseradish. Is the wild one strong?

  12. ConCats to Pipo and Minko. We’s glad we didn’t guess cuz mommy was thinkin’ ruffled lettuce. MOL She’s been cravin’ salads and won’t pay da store da 2-3 dollars they want fur a lousy head of lettuce. She says one day she’s gonna get her one of those indoor gardens and grow her own. Anyways, have fun with your grammie.

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

    1. She could grow her own lettuce right outside your door in the summer. The grocery store one is overpriced and full of sprays. XO
