Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Prancie and I are thankful that our book is in print, well, this is the copy we need to check then it will be ready in 6 weeks.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day to go with this photo:

Playgrounds are lots of fun
a place to play and run.
You can swing real high
with your folks nearby.
Don’t forget the see-saw and merry-go-round
so much to do-look around!
And for the most fun ride,
don’t forget the slide.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Can’t WAIT to see that book in print! You did a fabulous job of poetry this week – playgrounds are FUN – all those smiles and giggles and cool things to play on – it’s a kids’ paradise (or maybe adults too after the kids are back home??!!!).

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. It’s so exciting how close your book is to publication! I can’t wait to buy and read it, that’s for sure. I have no doubt it will be a fantastic read, just like your poem!

  3. Gosh, having your own book is so very exciting! Yours looks so colourful too! We are awaiting ours to be finished and then to find an agent. Guessing it will be a while yet.
    Yours Kindly

  4. Wow, i can hardly wait to get your book!

That’s a nice poem, a very special reminder of childhood fun, and of watching my own kids play.

  5. When I was a child, I loved to swing, swing, swing…!
Sometimes, The Hubby and I visit a nearby park, which has swings and I have some fun for a few minutes.

  8. YAYAY! Congratulations on the book. It won’t be long now, though I know it will feel like forever!

I always loved the playground, even when I was a teenager. We were on the merry-go-round when David asked me to go with him. That was on the infamous “I Reckon Day”, as that was my response to him. haha

Have a blessed evening, Ellen. 🙂

  9. Congratulations on yet another step forward with your book. Joanie, better to home school Gremmie. Schools are no longe safe, and you would miss him too much if he was gone all day.
