Hi everyone! Β I am enjoying my heated blanket here.
Mom is going to cut into my post to do her Ten Things of Thankful. Before that though, I want to tell you about my special week of Thanksgiving giveaways. We are so thankful to all of you for your friendship that we are going to have giveaways three days in a row so be sure to come back tomorrow.
Here are mom’s thankfuls:
- A box of books from my friends, they included books for the great one too.
- . My friend came over to clean the cat room, Polar Bear has feline herpes and makes quite a mess when he sneezes everywhere.
- Pedicure with my mom.
- Chinese food after pedicure.
- Shopping trip with my mom.
- A bargain on a cat bed at the store 5Below, $5
- Emmy continues to sit on me and even spends part of the night on the bed.
- A spare bed to retreat to when hubby snores too loud, I used to wear earplugs, but they are uncomfortable.
- Finally had time to do some crocheting so I made 15 toys to donate to be sold for the local shelter.
- Brussels sprouts fresh from the garden, even tastier after the frost and the best part is the hubby cleans them off and cooks them for me.
We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for our first giveaway.
I can’t believe you have home-grown brussell sprouts! That sounds so cool.
They are great.
Oooh fresh Brussels sprouts sound absolutely yummy! I never had them as a kid (at least, I don’t remember having any). The first time I had them was after we moved here to Texas. I love them and wish they’d been a part of my life for a lot longer than 13 years. π
That is a great list of thankfuls. I think it is so wonderful that you have such a great relationship with your mama. Just wonderful.
David used to snore something fierce, too. I don’t know what happened to change it, but now when he does snore, it is very quiet. He used to be as loud as a jet engine! There was nowhere in the house I could go to get away from it. Maybe things will get quieter for your husband along the way, too. I sure hope so for you. π
How sweet that Emmy is spending more time with you and sitting on you. That is great!
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and a blessed weekend.
I know when my hubby loses a little weight he doesn’t snore. π

My human will sleep through anything! I think you need some of that.
I can sleep through anything, but he falls asleep first and I can’t fall asleep to snoring. π
YAY for heated blankies this time of year………and we love your “thankfuls” – Mom is a big fan of brussel sprouts too – we just bet they are even BETTER right from the garden. So happy to hear that Emmy is cozying up – she’s finally feeling part of the family there – isn’t that great?! HAPPY SUNDAY!
Hugs, Teddy
Heated blankies are wonderful. Emmy is a sweetie. XO
Warm pads and Brussels’ sprouts and pedicures! Oh, my! So many wonderful things in this world.
Yes, i will be back tomorrow, with the understanding that i already won back at Easter so i am keeping myself out of the give aways for a while.
I agree, it is a wonderful world. You can enter the giveaways.
Hey, wait a minute- a heated blanket?!! I’ve gotta talk to mom and dad. Oh, and dad lovvvves Brussels sprouts, but we don’t love him after he eats them…
I hope you get a heated blankie from Santa.
Mom is wild about Brussels sprouts. Fresh ones…oh my goodness. Died and gone to heaven. I am so glad your mom got help with the cat room. When I had a cold a couple of years ago, I was sleeping as always with mom and the worst thing was my sneezing on her up close and personal.. She couldn’t get away from it. She sure hauled me into the Dr. as soon as she got up. XXX
They are really good. XO
I always enjoy your thankful posts. We all have so much to be thankful for.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. β₯
Thank you. We send our best to you too.
We love the concept of sharing thankful things. It’s a great list and we wish you a wonderful upcoming week!
Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful week too.
Hubby sounds pretty special. I wonder if he needs a CPap machine. My guy has sleep apnea that used to wake us both and kept him exhausted. Great post!
He is a keeper π He should get tested for that.
Those are some happy happy thankfuls! I love Brussels sprouts! Happy Emmy is spending time with you. CH snores too and I spend many a night on the couch… it is as far away as I can get from the snoring. How nice to have good fun with your Mom!
Thank you π Seems like a lot of men snore.
The wins in life are more important than any negativity.
Very true.
That is a great list! That sound wonderful about Emmy. My tabby cat likes to do that and I love having her close to me.
Thank you. It is nice having our kitties near us.
What a great thankful list! You really have your own Brussels sprout plants? That is so cool!
Thank you. Yes, we do grow our own π
You sure do look happy with your heated blankie! Have a cozy Sunday everyone!
Thank you π
That is so great that you have a heated blanket. Bet that feels good. That sure is a bunch of good things to be thankful for. You all have a super Sunday.
It does feel nice on my arthritic bones.
Prancie, you and our pal, Teddy, are almost look-a-likes. We didn’t realize! Your mom always has the best thankfuls. Our mom needs to clean off the bed in the guest room so she (and all of us) can retreat when our dad snores. Thanks for coming to see us and for hopping. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Thank you, we do look similar. Tell your mom to clean that bed off for you. π XO
Garden grown Brussels sprouts!! Yummmmy don’t laugh but my peeps have never seen it growing..just in the store. I think it is to hot for it to grow here unless planted in the fall
Hugs madi and mom
It is probably too hot there. XO
Now that is a great list. Though I dont count brussels in this Palace I know the peep does secretly like them… especially if someone else at another place does the cooking MOL
Toodle pip and purrs
ERin
Thank you. XO
We love your list!
Have a super Sunday…
Noodle and crew
Thank you, you too.
The first time I saw garden Brussels sprouts I could not believe how they grow! Love your 10 things. Heated blankets, Emmy on the bed, pedicures, crochet time, pedicures, lunch with Moms absolutely the best things to be thankful for.
Prancie, you look beautiful!

Marv and Mommy
They do look funny when growing.Prancie thanks you. XO
That’s a lot to be thankful for,and Heated blankys are too,xx Speedy
Thank you.XO
Heated blankets! Such a luxury we do not have. I am afraid someone would pee on it–no names–and get electrocuted!
That would not be good.
I need to make sure that Princess Cookie Cat doesn’t see this post otherwise she’ll be wanting a heated blanket too. That’s a fabulous list of things to be thankful for and I hope the coming week has just as many if not more.
You should get her one π
You look very comfy on your heated blanket.
I seem to be in the minority. I can’t stand brussel sprouts! One year I decided to grow my own to see if I liked them better. Bleh!!!
Did you wait for a frost to eat them? They are milder that way. XO
Great list ! The heated blanket and the Brussel sprouts (after the frost, yes !) are our favorite. Purrs
Thank you. XO
There is certainly lots to be thankful for and that’s a great list! I’ve never liked Brussels sprouts but maybe I just haven’t had them prepared properly! Happy Sunday! π
Thank you. Happy Sunday to you too!
It’s heated blanket season, Prancie! Yay! You are always so kind, giving away so many goodies. We can’t wait to see what you have in store. And, as always, such wonderful Thankfuls!
Thank you π
prancie, how wonderful that you have a heated blanket!
My husband snores loudly too and I often sleep in our spare bed. I use earplugs, but they don’t bother me. That’s wonderful about #9! All your thankful items are so nice.
Thank you π Funny how many men snore.
Heated blankets are so cozy.
My Mom often has to wipe the windows and wood floor by my beds because I sneeze a lot. But it’s not sick sneezing, so I’m sure you have a bigger cleaning job (with germs and snot).
Polar Bear makes a mess.
Heated blankies are seriously pawsome things. We have one here too.
They are the best π

Maybe she could get you a mat that heats in the microwave and stays warm, that would be safer. XO
Great list! Love heated blankets.
Thank you.
Great list! Love #9 π
Thank you π
You are so lucky to have a heated blanket! We want one now. Our mom would take the Brussels sprouts.
Maybe Santa will get you a blankie.
Prancie, you are so lucky to have that heated blanket. We’re gonna ask Santa Paws to bring us one.
I hope Santa brings you one.
Yum Chinese food!!
It was good π
That heated blanket sounds terrific–and so do the brussels sprouts!
Both are great π
You have all kinds of good thankfuls here, Ellen! Friends who send books or come to help clean are the best! π Emmy is doing so good! My feral boys are also becoming very friendly and love to get extra attention. <3 A $5 cat bed is a steal, it's so fun to find great buys like that!
I love Chinese, my mom used to take us to a Chinese restaurant when we went out of town shopping and it started a life-long appreciation for it. Now it brings back good memories. I'm glad you got to share it with your Mom, and the pedicure too!
I am glad you have an extra bed for a good night's sleep when you need it too. I am the one who snores in our house, but Papa Bear does well with earplugs. It was so kind of you to crochet toys to donate. You are always doing good things!
I would like to say I like brussel sprouts, but no I don't. I've tried them twice because they look so cute, but to me they taste bitter. How do you cook them? Papa Bear grew up eating them and often has them if we go out somewhere and they are on the menu.
Wishing you a great week ahead, and a blessed Thanksgiving! XOXO
I just boil the brussels sprouts. We wait until after the frost to pick them and they are not bitter after that. I am spoiled now so when I have ones from the store, they are not good. I am glad your ferals are more trusting now. I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving too. XO
That looks like a really comfy blanky bed. We so luv us a heated blanky bed. Enjoy. Great fankfuls awnty Ellen. We’re blest to have ya’ll as furiends. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
They are great. We are blessed to call you friends. XO
Bargains are good! brussel sprouts are bad!
lol… never been much a vegetable person to begin with and (I suspect) that brussel sprouts are a more acquired taste than some of the more middle of the road ones, like corn and potatoes and…. corn?
Trust everyone where you are will have a good Thanksgiving.
Thank you. I hope you have a nice brussels sprouts free Thanksgiving. π
We love to roast our Brussels sprouts. Way more delish than the soggy yucky things we got as kids…our boys like them too. So they are a renewed discovery at our den:)
Hubby used to snore so loud it was like a truck that never could get away from the house. I sleep in a separate bedroom with a fan going…helps a bit. You are right, earplugs are not comfortable.
I need to try to roast them, I bet they would be even better that way. I can still here him in the next room, but not as bad. π
I just received brussel sprouts in my produce box todayβnot quite as good as home-grown, but Iβm looking forward to them!
I am sure they will be good π
You look so comfy on that heated blanket!
She was π
We are thankful every day for the things some take for granted. The roof over our heads, the food we eat and the fact we have clean fresh water.
Have a good week you guys!
Same here π I hope you are having a good week too.
I haven’t bought brussel sprouts in a long time. I’ll have to buy some and roast them with some other vegetables. That’s my favorite way to eat them.
If snorers sleep on their sides rather than on their backs it seems to help. Having the head of the bead elevated a little helps some too, as do CPAP machines.
I’m glad you had a good time with your Mom. We stopped at a Chinese restaurant today, and I had Wonton soup. Yummy!
My hubby does have a wedge under his pillow, but he still snores. I love wonton soup.
I hope you made some of those turkey leg toys like you sent us. It’s my new favorite toy. Snoops
I am glad you like them π I need to make more.
