A is for Apple

Hi everyone! Today is the big day, the start of the # A-Z Blogging Challenge. as you know, I am doing crocheted toys. There are lots of other great themes like music, famous pets, drawings, writing prompts, self improvement and so many more. You can find many of them listed at blogchatter. This is our third year participating.

Our first toy is an apple. I just used this easy ball pattern from All Free Crochet then I ran a piece of brown yarn through it for the stem.

Β  In the past, I added 2 leaves, but some thought it was a tomato.

We are also joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. My KaChoo was an April Fool born in 1994, she was the apple of my eye so I used the apple frame on photofunia to make this.

Phoebe will be here tomorrow and Sammy will show photos of his Delorean for the Cat Scouts Cardwood Derby.

  1. Good luck with the A-Z even though you’ve done it before. Great theme and your cats are so lucky to get all these toys. Cool that you could find a frame to fit the apple toy and letter A.

  2. What a nice tribute to KaChoo. We plan to be here all the way through to zucchini. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ I may do a zucchini, but there is one other idea I have that I may do instead.

    1. Thank you. That is all I crochet is cat toys and hats for them because they are small and fast. I am too impatient to do anything bigger. I hope you have a blessed day too.

  3. Though I myself have no talent for it, I have always loved the art of crochet. Your apple is darling, and so are you, Phoebe! This is also such a precious tribute to your KaChoo.

  4. How could they mistake an apple for a tomato, i’ve never seen a tomato with leaves, but apples, yes. A very nice tribute to your beautiful kitty. Enjoy your A to Z, i know i will enjoy seeing everything you create!

  5. That’s a perfect apple! That will be a fun challenge for your Mom since she crochets so beautifully! Looking forward to seeing the Delorean on the racetrack at Scouts…………

  9. My goodness you’re doin’ well with that A-Z challenge. If my first peep were knittin’ toys for the challenge, she’d likely still be workin’ on the letter ‘A’ when everybody else was on ‘L’ or ‘M’ or ‘P’. MO– USES!

    1. Thank you, it is all I make. I am too impatient to work on something big like an afghan.

  13. We have a Yeowww nip apple that looks more like a tomato to us because of the leaves, so I agree with no leaves. Can’t wait to see more of your creations!
