Monday Hops

Hi everyone! Today we are joining 3 hops: Comedy Plus’ Aww….Mondays, Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? And Create With Joy’s Inspire Me Monday.

100_9902-2 KaTwo is posing with The Lion in The Living Room by Abigail Tucker. I wish I could say I was enjoying this book, but unfortunately, I find it to be a little boring. It reads like a History text book and tells about bad things that were done to cats centuries ago which was very disturbing.

100_9904 Prancie is posing with a turkey decoration for Thanksgiving. I made it with an old light bulb that I painted brown. Then I added feet cut out of foam and googly eyes and feathers. They are breakable though so you have to be careful.

  1. That book does sound disappointing. I like to learn, but it shouldn’t be boring!

The ornament is cute. Where/how will you display it? You are so creative! I admire that.

    Hugs! ❀

    1. Thank you. I keep the ornament in the dining room where I keep all breakables and my plants- the only no cats zone πŸ™‚ Thank you for the sweet compliment. XO

  2. I like heavy historical reading full of facts, but everything has its place, and sometimes I’m in the mood for something with a bit of zip and fun to it. That book doesn’t sound like it’s along those lines at all. Too bad.

  3. A book that tells about Bad Things that were done to kitties! Oh, no! We don’t think We would like that!
Our Human is currently reading a Commissario Brunetti Detective Story – “Quietly in Their Sleep” by Donna Leon. Mummy likes the Brunetti series, which are all set in Venice, because she says they make the city on the lagoon almost a character in the novels. Mummy likes detective stories and She also likes travel books and these books give her Two-in-One (mol).

  4. I just love when you share these crafts and decorations you make. You’re so creative and we love seeing all of these creations! And thank you for admitting that you’re not really enjoying the book you’re reading. We appreciate honest reviews, as that really does help us decide what and what not to add to our reading list. Purrs, and happy Monday to all of you!

    1. Thank you, I am glad you like the decoration. I feel as you do that Thanksgiving gets jipped in that area so I make my own.

    1. I don’t think you would enjoy the book. I love your good news- congratulations on your new addition πŸ™‚

  5. I would never have thought to make a lightbulb into a cute decoration.

At the moment, I am reading Shield of Drani (sci-fi, alas no cats) and am not sure I like the alien cultures.

M and I are also hard at work looking for typos, etc. in Me-YEOW! and we’re still on schedule, so Xander’s forth book (a.k.a. Spooky’s dedication) should be available by the end of the month.

  6. Two purrfect Awww Monday posers right here. So adorable.

I too hate books that are tough to read. I would put that one down as well.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ☺

  7. Gobble gobble! We love your Thanksgiving decoration.
    Have a great week!

  10. You are without a doubt the Craftiest/most Creative person we know! You make such cute stuff………! The book about the way cats used to be treated would be one I’d pass on I’m afraid……..

    Love, Pam (and Sam)

  11. Happy Monday! Thanks for the short purrview of Lion in the Living Room… doesn’t sound like a furry happy book.

The light bulb idea is really creative… Prancie you looks furry cute with da feathers in your nose.

  13. Thanks for warning us about the book. I wouldn’t want to read it.
I’m reading The Notorious RBG : The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik. She’s amazing! I hope she stays in good health.

Prancie looks very interested in those feathers!
    xxoo

  14. What a great Turkey! Too bad its late for Canadian Thanksgiving. And I hate it when I find a boring book. Its so much better with an e reader, I don’t feel like I have to finish it!
    Kisses
    Nellie (and mostly Mommy)

  15. I’m so glad to hear your thoughts on The Lion in the Living Room! Rarely do I give up on a book, but when even just skimming the pages had my eyes glaze over I put it down for good. I was sad too because I thought it sounded wonderful.

    1. I was disappointed too, it did look good. I did finally give up after reading at least 3 things that made me sad.

    1. Thank you, I will let KaTwo know, but she may be offended that you thought she was a boy- MOL! πŸ™‚ Glad you like the light bulb, I have a Grinch one I made for Christmas too.

  16. That book wouldn’t be my cup of tea.
KaToo and Prancie look cute. Hopefully Prancie won’t become too playful with that toy!

    1. I was disappointed.

Thank you πŸ™‚ I put the light bulb turkey away right after the photo πŸ™‚

  17. We are not reading books, but we are reading blogs, MOL!! They are more fun than *that* book at least…

That is a great idea; making a turkey out of a light bulb! That way you don’t have to throw away the ones that don’t work anymore. We bet you could make a Santa out of one too…and maybe a reindeer and if the bulbs are small enough, maybe some elves as well…Hmmm…its a good thing petcretary doesn’t have too much time on her hands, but we think it would be fun to try and help her with a project like that:)

    1. I want to make a snowman one and I have made a grinch Santa one, they are a lot of fun. I have an odd shaped one that I want to make an alien out of too.
