And today is the last day for P.S. Annie’s 19-Somethin Challenge. The question for today is: What did you think of the challenge? I thought it was a lot of fun. It was nice to visit my younger years, but I am truly happy where I am now.
Tomorrow is a new challenge for Halloween- click here for more information.

  1. Great answers, which I agree with! I am allergic to cats, too. And dogs, rodents, and birds. I can live with that. I cannot imagine life without critters.

Oh, it must be fun to see your niece walk! She is learning fast!

I will have to check out that challenge! Hugs, my friend.

    1. Thank you. I didn’t know you were allergic to all those critters- do you take zyrtec or anything?
It is fun seeing her walk, but we want her to talk and she makes a lot of noise, but likes to point to what she wants.
I hope you do the new challenge. Have a nice weekend!

  2. Great answers!
What do you take for your allergy? I’m allergic to dogs and use Kirkland Allerclear (it’s a generic Claritin as per my sister’s pharmacist) 365 tablets (year’s supply) for less than $20.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I have been getting zyrtec now because Allegra and Claritin didn’t seem to help. I didn’t think zyrtec did either, but the zyrtec-D does/ That is a great deal you get on your pills, I am glad they work. The name brands are very pricey even with coupons.

  3. How cool that your little niece is learning to walk. Now, the fun really starts. haha

Thank you for participating in our 19-Somethin’ challenge. I am glad that you enjoyed it. I enjoyed learning more about you along the way.

I’m sorry about your kitty allergies.

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Thank you for having the challenge. I wish we could get the little one talking now, she just points to what she wants for my Mom and I. She can say Dada and Mama though.

  4. Challenge: It was fun!

    Hug a kitty everyday!
My favorite magazine is Canadian Living. (I get to read all the old ones my sister gives me…)
Recently I got a five year pin from my work. (The turnover of employees there is high, so five years is a long time, though there are a few with longer years of service.)
Even though I really don’t enjoy to cook and bake, etc, I do it and make my self like the results, because they help my family and myself be healthier…than cheating with processed foods and other junk. (most of what I cook is from scratch, but I try to keep it basic and simple, and that is actually quite yummy).

    1. Thank you for your answers. Congratulations!! 5 years is very long in your line of work. It is a tough job physically and mentally.
I think it is great you are making healthy meals-even better that they taste good 🙂 Have a nice weekend!

  5. I enjoyed your answers. I am the same way–allergic to cats, but I will always have them. That’s so nice that your little niece is walking–that’s pretty early!

    1. Thank you, I hope your allergies are not too bad, mine are manageable.
She is walking early, now we need to get her talking 🙂

  6. As a child, i was allergic, too. Years and years of allergy shots, and i’m not any more. That, or i simply outgrew them, i’m not sure which.

  7. Such wonderful answers! I guessed that would be your answer for #4! I am lucky in that cats are one of the few things that I’m not allergic to, but even I was, I’d be like you. Life without cats is no life at all! Thank you for hosting this fun challenge, Ellen! We love participating each week. Purrs!

    1. Same here, I can’t imagine a life without cats 🙂 Thank you for participating weekly, I always enjoy learning more about you.

  8. Fill-ins:
    1. ___What was the question for this one?____________________ a _____________?_____________________.

    2. My favorite magazine is ______The New York Times______________________________.

    3. Recently, I actually helped mama make pizza. .

    4. Even though 1. I’m a cat , I 2. Love to knead the dough but it’s hell cleaning up my paws! .

    1. I would love to see a video of you kneading the dough, that must be very cute. Just don’t eat it- it is not good for you raw because of the yeast.

  9. I didn’t know you were allergic to cats. Me too, but I can’t have cats. They affect my breathing something awful.

I learned something new about you today.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to all your babies. ☺

    1. It is a recent development, I kept getting sick so I went for allergy tests. I hope you have a great weekend too.

  10. I think if I adopted another cat today I would be looking for a new husband tomorrow… or maybe a new home! 😉 Seriously, I would love to, but I know that four is all that we have room for and can take good care of. They all need their share of lap time!

Catster magazine is pretty cool, I’ve read issues of it in the past!

How delightful it is to watch a little one taking their first steps in life, knowing all the activity that is soon to follow!

I am allergic to cats too, but thankfully not as bad as my sister or my step-daughter, they have trouble breathing in houses with cats! We do keep ours out of our bedroom when we are sleeping though, that helps quite a bit, and we get more rest too!

Great questions and great answers, thanks to both of you for this fun meme each week, I really look forward to it!

    1. That is too bad their allergies are so bad. I am getting shots for mine and I take zyrtec for now. My niece used to have a friend stay over that was allergic to cats and she would go outside to get fresh air and the neighbor’s cat ( Spooky, who we later adopted) would come visit her 🙂 There was no escaping for her. Have a great weekend!

  11. Mom L and Dad P are both allergic to our furs but we will always be together. We think our furs are even starting to make Mom wheeze. But I know I will always have a place on the bed next to her head. Purrs

  12. guys….we canna rememburr whooz tern it iz sew me toona will answer just coz

heerz two a bumblebee goby kinda week oh end everee one ~~~~~ ♥♥♥

    1. Tuna, that was very naughty of you, I hope you don’t do it again. I don’t want you to get run over by a car. XO

  13. When you decide on your two fill-ins, do you already know how you are going to complete them? I had such a hard time with #1, but your completion is exactly right! I have a small allergy to kitties, but Dad Tom has a really bad one. He will sometimes have sneezing fits that me me want to leave home. They just go on and on. But like you, we will always have kitties. They are just too precious for it to be any other way! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo and Janet

    1. Zyrtec seems to help, not sure if the allergy shots are helping too soon to tell. Sometimes I have an idea and pick the fil-in to go with, but I usually go to my list that I made and pick 2. I almost put Feed a Phoebe, I always say that as a twist on feed a cold starve a fever 🙂 XO

  14. Love your answers! It’s interesting that so many people who are allergic to cats still have cats. Guess that’s just further evidence of cats’ awesomeness! 🙂

  15. I am allergic to people which doesn’t make me unhappy but if I was allergic to cats I would be sad. It’s easier to get along with a cat.

  16. Great answers! I used to read Catster a long time ago. It’s a good one. I’ve been told I’m allergic to cats but I’m not buying it. I don’t sneeze or cough or anything around my girls. Have a great weekend!

  17. Thanks for participating in the 19 Somethin’ challenge. I am allergic to cats, too. My doctor told me he could treat it with antihistamines. I told him, never mind what I told him. I did not take them. So far, so good.

  18. We want to adopt another kitty. We almost brought a sweet little white one home the other day, but he was coming from a farm and I just felt bad that he would be an indoor cat at our home. Some other people who lived in the country wanted him too, and the was probably better for him. 🙁
All my kids walked before their first birthday, and oh boy was that a busy time!

    1. I think all cats are better off indoors. They adjust fine. most of mine were originally outside. Did they talk by age one? I thought my niece did, but he daughter is more concerned with walking than talking, she is an athletic baby.

  19. CountTW as another one allergic to cats. Her allergies only bother hed when she’s sick like now.
    1. I bit a human today. Did you?

    2. My favorite magazine is I don’t read but Tw seems to like Catster too.

    3. Recently, I attacked Pop’s wrist and almost slit it open but not quite.

    4. Even though I attack the peeps , I still love them.
