Hi everyone! Thank you all for your sympathies on my Lucy. I will always love her and miss her every day. I am so lucky to have such an amazing group of cat loving friends to help me through this difficult time. When my KaChoo went to the bridge in 2010, I did not have all this support which made it all the more difficult. Lucy is part of my heart and will always be part of this blog too. We had a couple more books read to do reviews on that will be featured as well as some unpublished photos.

Penny has been looking forward to having a giveaway ( clearly not thrilled about the photo part).  I named Penny after the character on The Big Bang Theory. New episodes start next Monday so we are having a giveaway for these great socks- one pair has “Soft Kitty” on them.   8. We are new to the blogosphere and I am amazed at the love and support bloggers have for each other – especially in times of sorrow. The socks are adorable and I love that you named that pretty tortie after Penny. I love the Big Bang Theory as well! But please don’t include us in the drawing – since we had that recent win!!

  9. sorry to hear about your loss — mum knows all about sending furry friends to the Bridge. Mum says she still has memories of ALL the animals she has had to let go. She says it is hard at first, but gets easier, as I am sure you know. She says you never forget them but it gets easier to remember them and sum of the funny things they did!!

  11. In the yeaer plus you’ve been blogging, we’ve come to think of all your kitties as family so we feel the loss of Lucy too.

    Pop loves the Big Bang Theory and TW loves her some kitty socks.

  13. We sure will miss dear Lucy. But now that she has earned her wings she can still post if you wish for her to as Angel Lucy. I know it may sound a bit odd, but I found right after I lost Abby, that I could still feel her online, because all of my social media is her. So, it gave me solace in a strange way to still let her have her voice. It hurt for a long time to post pictures, but I’ve started again posting #TBT (throwback Thursday) posts with her and Gracie. I miss them and they were a big part of “Abby’s” blog for the first 8 or so years. So I have so many photos of them to still share. (big hugs)

    1. Thank you. Lucy wasn’t very nice to the other kitties. She was OK with Phoebe and Joanie ( except when she stole her food). They are respecting her places and not sitting in them, but no one is in deep mourning except me.

      1. 🙁 On the one hand, it’s sad that Lucy didn’t have too many feline friends at your place, on the other side – she had the best one in the world – you. And if she wasn’t that social, it was probably great for her that the other accepted her.

        1. Thank you- you are very sweet. She would play with Phoebe and Joanie a little, but mostly kept to herself- and was always with me. I miss her so much.

  17. OMC Those socks awe pawsum. And they be just da wight time too. Mommy wears socks wound da house all da time when it gets cooler. She wuld look way cool sportin’ those socks.

    Weez miss Lucy too, and send yous all lots of luv and hugs and purrayers. She will live on furever in our memorwies.

  21. You are still very much in our thoughts Ellen. I know how difficult the grieving process can be. I still miss my Angel Leo who left last summer. I’m often in denial about him not being here because some days that is easier than accepting I’ll never see him again. I know that all my angels, including Leo who was such a gentleman, have welcomed Lucy and that she is surrounded and protected by their love.

    1. Thank you for thinking of me, you are sweet. Losing a beloved pet is so hard, I know what you mean about denial. I used to always check for Lucy whenever I would get up during the night, if she wasn’t on the bed and I am still doing that. XO and love to you too.
