Awww….Monday

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .

Rosie is posing with 3 great books that I am reading.

Good Writing:36 Ways to Improve Your Sentences by Neal Allen and Anne Lamott is filled with simple rules that will improve one’s writing. There are examples to illustrate each rule. A must for anyone who wants to improve their writing.

Joyful Anyway by Kate Bowler is a mix of memoir and self-help. The author survived stage 4 cancer several years ago. She explains how we can still lead a joyful life even if bad things happen because every life has bad things at some point.

Getting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect by Valerie Bertinelli is all about self- acceptance. I have read all her books, and each one has led to this with her becoming more accepting of herself with each one.

Rosie will be here with all the latest tomorrow which is not much.

  1. Rosie poses well!
I and several others I know can surely relate to the book about surviving cancer…today a good friend of mine is having surgery for breast cancer, not sure of the stage, at least stage 2, because there was an involved lymph node…and another lady from church has been dealing with stage 4 breast cancer for many years already…I think soon she might decide to go on hospice.

  2. Rosie looks like she’s waiting for her Mom to join her on that blankie – Mom reads and Rosie snoozes! Interesting books……

    Hugs, Pam

  3. You are a big help to your Mom, Rosie. And it is always nice to see you on Monday! I would like the Good Writing Book… always something to learn for writing.
    Good Morning!

  4. Rosie, you are a sweet and very pretty ladycat! That little arm spread out while you are posing with the books is just so kissable. You can tell what Katie goes through. The poor thing can’t be anywhere near me without being kissed!

    1. Yes, she does, but these are library ones so I only allow it for the photo. 🙂

  5. Thanks for the recommendations. Those all sound good. I have always liked Valerie Bertinelli. I have saved the names and authors for future reading. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kizmet, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali

  6. Chaplin: “This is quite a variety of books, and very relevant to us!”
Charlee: “Oh yes we are familiar with bad things happening out of the blue around here …”
Chaplin: “And also our Dada says he remembers Valerie Bertinelli from the ‘One Day at a Time’ days, not to mention the ‘Married to Van Halen’ days. We are not sure what either of those things means.”

  7. Rosie is most adorable and all three of your reads sounds interesting. Especially the last one.
