Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
I am thankful for clearance sales. Last week, at Walmart I scored a set of 12 dinosaur eggs for $1.98. They are plaster that you break away to get the plastic dinosaur out. The Boy had a lot of fun as we opened 3 of them on Tuesday. I think he would have done the entire box. I took turns with him and used my hammer too or we would still be trying to get them out. It is fun finding things to amuse a boy after years of amusing the girls.
I skipped the poem again. I just can’t get my brain into poetry mode lately.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
Wow, great deal on those dinosaur eggs! XO
Cheaper than real eggs.
XO
Maybe you can ‘invent’ a way to make some of those eggs or ‘rocks’ to hide things in for the budding geologist to discover! Use a balloon, with something small inside; covered in plaster, let it dry and then maybe paint it, and let The Boy smash it to find the prize.
Looks like he had fun, so that is the main thing!
That is a good idea. XO
Wow, that is some hammer! Your little cutie pie is going to LOVE Game of Thrones one day. Maybe. With the flying dragons and all, and watching them hatch! YOU are so creative and yes, little guys are fun to watch.
Thank you. I bet he will. XO
That was a very good bargain, and fun for The Boy.
Thank you. It was. XO
And now do you add water to the dinosaurs and all of a sudden they come alive and start growing, LOL. I think I’d start running down the road screaming.
No, but I have seen things like that at the Dollar store.
XO
Don’t you love a great sale??? Especially when it’s cool stuff like those dino eggs! I’m pretty sure I would’ve gone back and bought them all. Lol.
I wish I had gotten more than one set.
I would have bought those myself for myself if I saw them. Great find and a super price!!
Thank you. Yes, your little guy would love them. XO
A bargain is such a joy!
It is.
Sales are always fun!
Yes, they are.
1. My life is both too boring and complicated.
2. The TV calls me too much.
3. I’m most likely to take only my own food to a potluck.
4. I need to ask too many hard to understand people for help with computer problems.
Dinosaurs are cool. My younger brother loved them. But I was more into space stuff. Had a whole shelf of model rockets.
Thank you for these great answers. I am sure my nephew will like space stuff too.
XO
My granddaughter loved those dinosaur eggs. It would keep her busy for hours. Now she’s 20 and is past that stage!
They grow up too fast.
I definitely shop the clearance sections whenever possible. You can find some great savings.
Yes, you can.
What a cool score!
Thank you.
I love bargains, and glad the boy had fun!
Thank you. XO
Ellen I know I sound like a broken record BUT YOU ARE THE VERY BEST GREAT AUNT E V E R

Awww…you are too kind. XO
Nice find at Walmart. I love clearance sales.
Thank you.
I would have played with those eggs and dinosaurs all day and night. lol Be well, my dear.
If you lived near me, I would invite you over- we have 9 left.
XO
Crafts for kids to do can be so expensive and will probably be getting more and more costly soon. So it is always a good thing when you find a bargain.
Woos – Misty and Timber
Very true. Luckily I have quite a stash.
What a fun project for The Boy! It certainly looks like he had a great time.
Thank you. He did.
It sounds like you two really had a good time! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We did that day. Today, not so much.
That’s a great deal and looks like lots of fun! I like the clearance sales.
It was a great deal.
The dino eggs and the tiny dinsaures are way cute. We think The Boy is in camo but I think it looks like jammie attire! I already have my Fill-Ins done… shocking. Ellen, the dino eggs were a great thing to find. Jerry was in desert camo most of his Army career except when he was in his flight suit. We know camo! I think it is fun you are doing boy things now too
He does have some camo, but these jammies are more of a forest print. Thank you to your hubby for his service. XO
Aunty Ellen you allwayss come up with GRATE project ideas!! Mee bet THE Boy toetally enjoyed his Dino Eggiess!!
~~~head rubss~~~BellaDharma~~~ an {{hugss}} BellaSita Mum
Java Bean: “Ayyy, hitting little plaster eggs with a hammer sounds like a fun way to get at toys! And possibly to injure yourself if you are our Dada …”
We were careful.
