Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! It has been a tough week.

My trusty friend Happy tried to protect me, but mom told the kids where I was. And The Great One petted me. Once mom told her that I don’t like my head touched, I only like my tushy rubbed, it wasn’t so bad.

Joanie’s party was so loud! The kids have walkie talkies they play with when they are here and they were singing Happy Birthday on those- oh my poor ears!

And Joanie got a new soft blankie. I love soft blankies. I hope I get one for my gotcha day in November ( hint, hint Grammie).

And the kids took over the bed. Joanie doesn’t mind, but I do.

They did medical exams on the Halloween stuffies. And mom put batteries in some- oh, my ears!!

Joanie got a new water fountain; it is stainless steel and super quiet. Mom hates the sound of running water so she used to have to unplug Joanie’s fountain at night and now she won’t have to.

Looks like I will get some peace and quiet for a while now.

I know I was supposed to let Friday and Elvira share with me today, but I don’t want to- maybe next time.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Good to get the low-down on all the latest news, Rosie! Maybe now you’ll have some peaceful, quiet times! XO

  2. Sorry your ears were bombarded with all that noise, Roasie. But, now since all the major sources of noise have gone/stopped, well you can have the peace you love.

We’d love to hear from Friday and Elvira, too. Soon, OK?!

  3. Oh, the trials you have to put up with, you poor tushy-rubbed kitty! But I’ll bet your birthday party will be just as fun, and you can pass out earplugs!

  4. My goodness! Never a dull moment at your house when the girls are visiting!! I bet those walkie-talkies just about drove everyone crazy….you poor girl.

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. It sounds like Joanie had a great birthday, but not so much fun for you.

  6. Dear Rosie, you had such a day that it’s only right that the blog is all yours this morning. I bet those love pets on your tushy felt very nice though.

  7. Oh Rosie darling TGO and TM must be full of extra super duper beans. I know you will enjoy the peace and quiet. Hugs Cecilia

  11. I’m so sorry for your tough time, my dear. As for your sweet mom, I can’t imagine disliking the sound of running water. And that’s in a house that has flooded more times than I can count. lol Hugs and blessings, my dear.

  12. It sounds like the children want to be your friend, maybe you should let them and then the noise wouldn’t bother you so much.

Please do share with Elvira and Friday, I’d love to hear how they are doing in their own words.

  13. Darn kids! Will Joanie let you borrow her soft blankie until you get your own?

  14. Rosie, TGO listened to your Mom and she gave you a pet where you could handle it. That was a nice thing. I understand about loud. I don’t like anything loud. Loud makes me anxious. I bet Grammie will come through with a blankie. Peace and quiet for you sounds good, we will see how long it lasts! A most excellent gabfest, Rosie!

  15. I’m with you!  Loud and long noises makes me quite irritable.  It’s good that Joanie enjoyed her birthday amid all of this, however.  Sometimes it’s worth being uncomfortable if it helps out a friend, or furbling.

  16. Well, you know…Happy could have wrapped her arms, all of them, around you to shield your earsies!

  17. There is something very special about visits, everyone brings joy with them, some when the arrive…others when they leave. 😉 Enjoy the peace now. We hope you’ll get that new blanky soon.
