Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Rudy is thankful to be out of that dress shirt. And I am thankful to everyone who stops by every day to see what craziness we are up to.

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

So many houses all the same
I think that it is so lame.
I will stick with my quirky old home,
filled with cats and a garden gnome.
Here is a photo of Phoebe from 2014 with our resident gnome.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. Sometimes I like ____________________ and sometimes I don’t.
2. If I had a nickel for every time _____________________  ,  I would be rich.
3. _________ is already _________, but I’m not complaining
4. I haven’t yet decided _________.

  1. Loved the kitty pictures and your poem! I like the older houses too, especially the ones with the odd touches! XO

  2. I would hate to live in a regimented estate of houses like that! I like the quirky shapes in our bungalow. That is a sweet photo of Phoebe and the gnome.

  3. HA! That’s a great poem for the photo this week. We aren’t crazy about that housing development either. My Mom has lived in a couple of places like that when she was young (a million years ago)…..back in the 50s that was how most new developments were built. Rudy does look quite happy not to have to wear clothes – most cats are nudists at heart!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Ellen I love it especially these two lines
I will stick with my quirky old home,

  5. Rudy, you are handsome whether or not you’re wearing a non-dress. And your poem is fantastic! I’m glad you live in a quirky home with kitties, and a of course the gnome that sweet Phoebe modeled so adorably. Purrs!

  7. Rudy must be feeling super comfy there at the Meowing Crew home… tummy up! Would he let you snorgle it, Ellen. Or just a little tummy rub?
Quirky is good for a home… gives it a personality. Phoebe has the biggest smile in this photo 🙂 I need a gnome.

    1. I can rub it, but he might go crazy pants if I snorgle and I don’t want my face scratched. Yes, every home needs a gnome. XO

  8. That is a cute poem…Simon the Cat has a garden gnome too…Our so. just bought a home from the 50’s, but that subdivision certainly is NOT ‘cookie cutter’…neither was the are we lived in when I was little…though there were other homes like ours, they were far enough apart that you didn’t;t really notice, and there were LOTS of trees, big and small.

    1. I love Simon the Cat and the ones with his gnome are favorites. I even have my great nieces watch him. XO

  9. Misty commiserates with any furry that has to wear a shirt or dress, especially now that she has to put a shirt on whenever she goes out on a sunny day. Mom keeps telling her she won’t like a bad sunburn on that furless skin.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
