Friendly Fill-Ins Week 375

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I hope I never have to _________________________.
2. I must remember to ________________________.
3. I learned about _________ when _________.
4. _________ has been occupying a lot of my time these days.
My answers:
1. I hope I never have to give Brody oral medicine or fluids. He is hard to catch when needed. He sits on my hubby a lot and me once in a while, but when he wants to.
2. I must remember to hide the glue when Typhoid Mary is going to be here. Last week, I left the room to go to the bathroom and came back to a bowl of glue filled with glitter.
3. I learned about giving a cat fluids in 2010 when my angel, KaChoo was sick. I have had to administer them to several beloved cats since then.
4.  Sleep has been occupying a lot of my time these days. I sleep well at night, but I still end up taking a long nap in the afternoon. I can see needing one after the kids leave, but the other days, I should not.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from last August. My angel Emmy was checking out our indoor tent.

  1. Hey, wait a minute! Mama says that if you are over 40, naps are a necessity for living longer!!!!Take heed and snooze..they refresh the mind and body for visiting nieces…

  2. Happy fill-ins day….thanks for being a co-host! Naps – well – my Mom says she has always thought that humans will take a little “rest” when their bodies NEED a little rest…..that’s a nap! I think it must be pretty tough being a human so I allow her and Dad to take a little rest when they want to. After all, I’m asleep most of the time anyway! Tee Hee

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. It sounds like Typhoid Mary had fun with the glue! That is a sweet flashback of Angel Emmy.

  4. I have to laugh at the glue incident, but then I don’t have to clean it up. Giving cats any meds is not a easy task ever. I enjoy seeing Angel Emmy, and camping to boot. Precious is sending Brody special vibes fur being healthy.

  5. Poor Brody… poor you, Ellen. Medicating cats is rough. I hear you about sleeping. I used to love a nap but I can’t nap anymore. I miss it. I can so see how Angel Emmy would love that tent!
    My Fill-Ins… Floriduh edition.
    1. I hope I never have to call somebody to get an AllieGator out of our pool.
    2. I must remember to lock the screen doors on the pool enclosure… AllieGator you know.
    3. I learned about “everything” AllieGator when we moved to Floriduh.
    4. AllieGator sightings have been occupying a lot of my time these days.

    1. Sorry you can’t nap. Thank you for these great answers. I hope you don’t get an alligator in the pool or anywhere near you. XO

  6. I enjoyed the fill-ins from you and from the commenter above me here. I remember the alligators well. I loved spotting them but I was always careful stepping out of the house morning, noon or night because of the snakes and alligators. We had a parakeet who truly said all the time “Watch out for the snaaaaaakes”. as that was what we said as we prepared to step out of the house. (His name was Pepper)

  7. Charlee: “Emmy sure was glamping in style in her tent! Green and purple, she must have been a fan of the Joker?”
Chaplin: “Mama and Dada used to give fluids to our legendary sister Trouble the Kitty, as well as to Tucker and even Dennis. We’re told that Mama had to operate the needle because needles make Dada shriek.”
Charlee: “Dada was in charge of the bag and made sure not to look anywhere near the end of the tube.”

    1. Same here, I did the needle and hubby holds the cat. We hang the bag from a 3m hook. XO

    when you are my age it might not be as easy to sleep.;
I never thought Madi would tolerate SUBQs either. She didn’t like to be held but somehow I think she knew we were helping her.

  10. 1. I hope I never have to give up boating.
    2. I must remember to be thankful and kind everyday.
    3. I learned about being loyal when I watched my parents being loyal.
    4. Enjoying summer has been occupying a lot of my time these days. It will be over before I know it.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I hope you never have to give up boating either. XO

  11. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I had a very similar answer to your #1. My girl Eddy sounds a lot like your Brody. And I can relate to your #4. I’ve become a napper over the past couple of years after never being one before. I notice I nap more in the summer, probably because the heat and humidity is sometimes just exhausting. And what an adorable memory of sweet Emmy! Purrs!

  12. Cracked up about the glitter in the glue. I wish I could sleep well. I often need a nap, as I rarely sleep well at night. Hard to turn off the brain has always been a problem for me. Cute photo of Emmy. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  13. Those were all good answers. Yes, I’m glad that fluids can be given at home too, it’s so much better that way.

  14. Emmy looked so sweet in that tent.

    1. I hope I never have to have chemotherapy again.
    2. I must remember to do my outside chores before dark, since I get too involved with things inside, LOL!.
    3. I learned about moving sick people without machinery, as we do in my work today, when I was in nursing school in the early seventies.
    4. Garden chores, work and blogging has been occupying a lot of my time these days.

    1. Thank you. And thank you for answering the fill-ins. I hope you never need to go through chemo again either. Sounds like you have been busy. XO

  15. My husband’s nights are often interrupted by Dandelion climbing on his chest. lol Then an afternoon nap gets him into the evening. Be well, my dear.

    1. That is sweet. Joanie interrupts my nights licking my face to make me roll into the position she wants me to cuddle, but I don’t mind. XO
