Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

I didn’t have a cat until I got married at 23. I didn’t realize you waited even longer. XO
For some reason my pic didn’t show up on the links, but my link is there 🙂 Cute cat pic of Matilda. Great fill in answers. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thank you for adding your link. Hope you have a nice weekend too. 🙂
Good fill-in answers, and interesting about the cat in the Algonquin! XO
Thank you. XO
Hamlet at the Algonquin has a big job! My Mom says home is her favorite place to be too (unless it’s in Maine!).
Hugs, Teddy
Yes, he does. 🙂 XO
I also understand the pain of losing a cat. Home is my favorite place too. I hope you enjoy being home this weekend. 🙂
I am sorry you have lost cats. XO
Mom said she would love to meet Hamlet. Any Hotel cat would be fun to meet but a famous one, even more fun.
Every hotel should have a resident cat. 🙂 XO
I love your fill-ins especially #1 and I am glad you led us to your delightful story about Matilda! 💞
Thank you. XO
What a cute capture of Matilda 🙂
Nice fill-ins I agree with #1 too
Have a hometastic weekend 👍
Thank you. Have a nice weekend too. 🙂
We totally understand #3. ((hugs))
Thank you. XO
WEll H E L L O pretty kitty.
MOL Ellen of late I have not been able to explain lots of things too. One being technology…but I’m learning. We gave up our landline at 1000 years. We now have only a cell phone. I’m teaching Bryan to use my old cell and I’m learning to use my new i13…you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks. Hugs Cecilia
I refuse to give up the landline. Where we live, cell phone service is not always great. XO
I wish I could hug you for real right now. 🙂
That would be nice. XO
I read about your trip to NYC. What a lovely place to stay. I’m curious to know what the rates were when you stayed. On the Marriott website, a room for two adults starts in the mid $200’s upwards of over $450! I had to check, though a visit is currently out of the question. To quote Nadine from ‘The Stand’ (original teleplay), “The Big Apple is baked.” It’s sad but true, I’m afraid. On a side note, I didn’t know they remade it. Why? Has nobody in Hollywood got an original idea anymore?
Thank you for taking the time to read about it. I can’t remember exactly, but I am guessing it was around $150 at the time which was a little more that the $100 we used to pay at a place by Times Square, but I had always wanted to stay there.
I don’t think anyone does have an original idea anymore. 🙂 XO
Matilda was beautiful! That was a very humble answer you gave for #4! 🙂 <3
Yes, she was. Thank you. XO
1. Being with hubby is always a pleasure.
2. Did you know that I love to go boating? I think everyone knows that.
3. I know eating healthy is hard to do all too well.
4. I can’t explain how much I love boating.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥
Thank you for these great answers. I hope you get to go boating soon. XO
Okay, now I have three impawtant reasons to visit New York City:
The Guggenheim, to admire the architecture; The Met Museum, to visit ‘Madame X’ by John Singer Sargent, and the Algonquin to visit Hamlet!
If you go, I hope to meet you there. 🙂
Charlee: “Matilda seems to be up pretty high in the air. We approve!”
I guess she felt safe up there. 🙂
I completely agree with you on number one!
There is no place like home. 🙂
What an incredible cat tree. Now I have serious envy. Making my list for Santa Paws early.

I agree about home. Even after a vacation, it feels good to be home.
Dorothy was right- there is no place like home. 🙂
Sometimes I wish I could click my heels together while I’m at work. Of course, that doesn’t work so well when you’re wearing maccasins.
🙂
Those are good answers and such a sweet flashback!
Thank you. XO
Home is my favorite place too.
Thank you for hosting the fill-ins. Next time you visit Hamlet, you can visit me.
I would love to see you and Hamlet, but mainly you. XO
Oh Boy! A Hotel Cat! Nellie Bellie went all hissy when she was on a leash and met the one at the Sooke Harbor House when Mom took her there. I wanted to do pictures for the Friday Fill-ins, but its not going to happen, so I am just going to answer them here:
1. Jo Jo is always smacking me.
2. Did you know I come in from outside to use the litter box?
3. I know where Mom hides the treats all too well.
4. I can’t explain why I do the things I do, I just do them!
Keep being awesome! Purrs Marvelous Marv
Thank you for these great answers, but I am sorry JoJo smacks you. Of course you come in to go potty- you are a civilized boy. XO
That was exciting to see Matilda. I have just been to read your post about her. I don’t think I saw it first time around but my memory is not great so I might gave forgotten it.
