Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?
I have been reading a lot lately. Penny showed you some of the titles last week.
Matthew Perry’s ,Friends, Lovers , and the Big Terrible Thing was an interesting read. I loved Friends and still watch the re-runs. I admire his honesty about the big terrible thing (addiction). I am actually amazed he is still alive when at one point in his life, he needed to take 55 pills a day to get by. I don’t know how a body can survive that many pills.
I also enjoyed Jennifer Grey’s memoir- Out of the Corner. There was a chapter in there about when she first started acting and had an intimate scene with Nicolas Cage. I had actually forgotten she was in The Cotton Club with him in 1984.
And Michelle Obama’s, The Light We Carry : Overcoming in Uncertain Times was great. She shares her toolbox of strategies she uses to deal with tough times. It helped me remember some of mine that I had forgotten about.
Rosie will be here tomorrow to show you her vision board and mine and hopefully inspire you to make one too.
You DO read a lot…and variety as well. Looks like Penny finds them interesting too.
I spend too much time reading. I should go for a walk. 🙂 XO
Interesting books, Ellen! Friends was a favorite show of mine, too! Cute picture of Penny! XO
Nice list of books. I have a few celebrity books that I want to read.
Hope you have a great week.

Thank you. 🙂 Hope you have a great week too.
ELLEN we missed friends in the 70s and have been watching it practically nightly since the pandemic began and it has saved us on many occasions because of his wonderful humor and craziness and because of the wonderful bond between these four people. I know that you prefer memoirs But I have just finished the most wonderful book in a long time called lessons in chemistry brilliant writer brilliant humor brilliant idea all around plus a dog who knows over 500 words
It is a good show. It was actually on in the 90’s. 🙂 I will hve to check that book out. XO
I need to make more time for reading as I do love books…..seems my day turns into one house project after another OR taking Teddy outside and also keeping up with friends on their blogs, etc. I just have to get organized I guess – leave some time for reading. Looking forward to the Vision Board project at Scouts!!
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)
Teddy keeps you on your toes. 🙂 XO
Not reading anything but blogs right now. I would like to not be so distracted that I can’t sit and enjoy a book. My brain is guilty of traveling aimlessly… Ha!
My brain does that too. 🙂 XO
I am always reading it seems. Into another book now by a favorite author. Soon to start reading historical novels again about the Civil War.
Glad you read a lot. 🙂 XO
Good review of the books. Autobiographies usually are quite interesting and often make us realize that the writers are just like us 🙂
Thank you. 🙂 XO
