We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Emmy and Joanie are thankful they can finally open day one of this Advent calendar from Aldi’s.
This one has a mix of soft treats, crunchy ones and squeezable ones too.
Sorry I skipped the poetry this week.
And I am thankful that my mom and I got to visit with my niece, Typhoid Mary and The Boy. The Great One was at school though. Typhoid Mary wanted to paint my finger nails so I let her. She did one hand with blue nail polish and I was pleased with it-especially for a 4 yr old. I was thinking, good, I won’t have to remove it right away. Then she tells me she will do my other hand another day. 🙂 No amount of begging would change her mind.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
When a 4 year old makes up her mind there will absolutely be no changing it!
We pups had one of those for doggies, last year from Aldis, it was yummy!
We didn’t get one this year…bummer.
Good point. 🙂 Sorry you didn’t get one this year. XO
Emmy and Joanie are looking very pretty! You could start a new trend by only having one hand polished! 😀 <3
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Cute picture of Emmy and Joanie! I like the idea of blue nail polish and one hand done, I guess that’s a start. For a brief time when I was younger,I used green nail polish. It was too much trouble to continue, though. XO
Thank you. 🙂 I usually get pedicures, but don’t bother with my fingernails. XO
Ooh, yummy treats. You’re lucky kitties.
Thank you. 🙂
Enjoy your Advent calendar, Emmy and Joanie! I hope you don’t have to wait too long to get your other hand done!!
They will. 🙂 XO
YAY! We’re excited it’s now December also….our tree is up (not decorated but up) and I can have my NAPS under the tree (my favorite thing about Christmas). We can open the first day on our Advent Calendar too….woo hoo!!
Hugs, Teddy
Glad you can nap under the tree. 🙂 XO
I love the nail polish part the very best. One hand done and the other not done. She’s done though. I laughed out loud.
I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Thank you for Co-hosting.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥
Glad you got a chuckle. It was pretty funny. I look forward to your fill-ins. XO
Happy December! I got a laugh out of the only one hand nail polish job.
Happy December. 🙂 XO

Hahahaha… Typhoid Mary has a mind of her own. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall so I could here you trying to convince her to do the other hand. Emmy looks pretty interested in the Advent calendar. It’s cute and a great idea.
Thank you. 🙂 XO

3. I still need to __shop_& wrap______ before _Christmas________.
4. To me, _family________ is the most important part of the holiday season.
Purrs, Julie
Thank you for these great answers. I don’t like fur or dust in my water either. XO
If i bought an Advent calendar for my animals, my Sweetie would give them all the treats before we got a week into the month. He can’t resist when they want something.
I’m glad you got to visit with Niece, Typhoid Mary and The Boy, too.
Kids run out of energy for such projects pretty quickly. Next time, have her paint your dominant hand first and if she poops out, you can then paint your non-dominant hand yourself.
I usually forgot to open the calendar daily. 🙂
I’m glad you had a good visit and you got 50% of your nails done. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. 🙂
Typhoid Mary sounds like quite a character! Mudpie wishes there were squeezie Advent calendars.
Yes, she is. There are some squeezable treats in this one.
That’s cute with the nail polish:) Great calendar!
Thank you. 🙂
Advent calendars are so much fun! Enjoy yours efurry day this month.
We will. 🙂
Those sweet four year olds are adorable! And once they make up their mind, there’s no way to make them change it. xo
You are right. 🙂 XO
That advent calendar is going to provide lots of fun and goodies!
I hope so. 🙂
Enjoy your treats, sweet babies. ~hugs~ Can you bribe a four year old? lol
Thank you. 🙂 I could have with candy if her mother wasn’t home. XO
Sweet photo of Emmie and Joanie and how fun to have an advent calendar ~ Be cozy ~ Xo

Emmy and Joanie look very happy with their advent treats calendar. lol, one set of blue nails. It’ll make a good conversation starter when you’re in line shopping for stocking stuffers.
I should have left the polish on the one hand. 🙂
