Friendly Fill-Ins Week 214

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. Did you know _______________?
2. My plans for June include _____________ and __________________.
3. When I need to cheer myself up, I _________.
4. I could teach an entire course on _________.
My answers:
1. Did you know that egg cartons are not recyclable? I recently read that somewhere. For years, I have always put them in the recycling bin.
2. My plans for June include Typhoid Mary’s 4th birthday party and gymnastic shows for both girls. And annual exams for Trouble and Friday.
3. When I need to cheer myself up, I buy something online- usually for The Great One and Typhoid Mary.
4. I could teach an entire course on living with multiple cats. I could also teach Catechism as I taught grades 8 and 9 for ten years.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

My flashback is from June 2015. My Angel Sammy showing off his adorable tummy. I could never resist snorgling it.

  1. Great answers! Aw…who doesn not love a tummy rub. DOgs line up for them here and the cat, well, he may allow me to give him a snuggle and a rub too. He is quite naughty as he and Franklin despise each other and he stayed angry while Franklin visited. He is back to his old routine so no harm and no one harmed him or took away his food dish. I have missed allof you here. HUGS & LOVE and your teaching made me smile. When I hear these awful things about the Catholic faith I often wonder where the info comes from. COme to me,. I was riaised and schooled in the faith and I can fact check that for the naysayers. heeheehee….truth

    1. I missed you too. I will volunteer to teach when my great-niece starts attending next year.
      XO and love to you.

  2. My comment disappeared so you may have to go to my tata’s cottage and then to my original blog annesphamily.blogpot.com Argh….bloggersince I posted Friendly fill in’s there. TAHNKS for all you do. HUGS across the miles

    1. Your comment is here, it just doesn’t always show up right away- sorry. XO

  3. I wish I could do some snorgling, too!
That s new to me too about egg cartons. Even the cardboard ones??

    1. Did you know we soon will celebrate 35 years of marriage? That for us is a kind of miracle since on the day of our 19th, We were at the doctor listening to her tell me about my cancer diagnoses…?
    2. My plans for June include a Father;’s Dy celebration, Hubby’s birthday, my brother’s birthday, and my best friend’s, too. And a remembrance of Angel Minko’s passing. June is a busy month! Work meetings too…and a court appearance to resolve the accident ticket I got in March. Sheesh.
    3. When I need to cheer myself up, I listen to my favorite classical music, or read my bible, and pray.
    4. I could teach an entire course on how to be a nurse aide as I have been at it for 11 years, and I was a nurse in Canada before that. (I let that lapse…)…I could teach someone the very beginning basics of violin playing, too…sometimes I discuss natural treatments for common ailments with my friends, I guess that is a type of teaching too.

That is cool that you taught Catechism classes. We have Catechism classes too, at our church, we use the Heidelberg Catechism and sometimes parts of the Westminster one, too. Which one did you teach?

    1. Thank you for your answers. Congrats on 35 years! I am glad you were able to recover from your cancer, that must have been an awful thing to go through.
You could also teach healthy foods and how to photo edit. 🙂 XO

  4. Sammy’s tummy looks very “snorggleable”……such a sweet Angel! Great fill-ins this week. We love seeing what you and Lorianne come up with every week for the Hop! Happy FRIDAY……..

    Hugs, Pam and Ted

  5. Love your fill-ins and I didn’t know you taught Catechism for ten years. Learn something new every day.

I know Angel Sammy was your heart cat. Aw.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

  6. Such an adorable pic of Sammy! We buy eggs in a cardboard carton and try not to buy anything in plastic containers. Have a great weekend.

  7. A big AWW! for Angel Sammy

I liked your fill-ins I wasn’t aware about the egg cartons either thanks for the info heheh!

    Have an omelettetastic weekend 👍

  8. They are getting stricter about recycling items here. We’ve never recycled egg cartons though because we get the foam ones and they go in the bin at the store.

Mom taught CCD (back when they called it that) years ago.

    That’s a snorgle worthy tummy.

    1. I was surprised to read that too because I always recycle them. Good pun. XO

  10. Great post, Ellen! Wow, time sure does fly! I can’t believe that she’ll be 4 already!

I didn’t know that about egg cartons. Is that the case for all types, even the ones that are like cardboard?

You would be the perfect one to teach folks about living with multiple cats. You’re an expert. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Yes, the older we get, the faster time passes. I always recycled the cardboard ones, but I read they are not recyclable. Hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

  11. A Sammy tummy♥
Ellen, I am sure I would have enjoyed you as my Catechism Teacher much more than Mother Norberta. Thank you for being a teacher.
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. Did you know that I have a special stuffie, a gift from my Mom, named Suds Bunny? I still occasionally sleep with Suds tucked under my arm.
    2. My plans for June include SSNS’ birthday and putting up with the rainy season.
    3. When I need to cheer myself up, I take a drive downtown and walk around.
    4. I could teach an entire course on procrastination.
Have a peaceful and happy weekend!

    1. Thank you. I loved teaching CCD and always had candy to give out after class. Thank you for these great answers. I knew about Suds and I think that is so sweet. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

  12. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I feel like what is and isn’t recyclable is starting to get very confusing. So many things that I used to think were recyclable I’ll suddenly learn are not, and vice versa. As for online shopping, retail therapy truly is a thing, isn’t it? It certainly is for me. Purrs to all of you!
