Hi everyone! Do you like my sombrero? We are joining In Purrsuit of Flavours hosted by Easy and The Canadian Cats.
I have an easy recipe for you for microwave nachos. First, you put some tortilla chips on a plate, mom uses Scoops, but you can use whatever kind you prefer. Then sploop some salsa on top of them.
After that, you add some shredded cheddar and some fresh chives. Microwave on high for 45 seconds ( might try 30 seconds and check on them in case your microwave is stronger than ours).
Then top with sour cream and enjoy. Don’t share with your pets though because chives and stuff in the salsa is not good for them.
Well, a taste of sour cream won’t hurt.

My human is very excited because she gets to have Cinco de Mayo dinner with fellow vaccinated friends! Plus she is getting a pedicure, which she hasn’t had since Thanksgiving (when our city had temporarily loosened restrictions).
That sounds like fun. I need a pedicure desperately. XO

Thank you. Happy Cinco de Mayo! XO
Oh Yum! Your nachos are so much easier to make than ours! We are going to use your recipe for the left over Salsa Verde though! We hope you have the best Cinco de Mayo! And Penny you look terrific in the sombrero and did you get to eat the sour cream? We LOVE sour cream!
Thank you. I want to try your recipe for salsa verde. Yes, she got a taste of it and so did Sammy. XO
That sounds tasty!
Thank you Happy Cinco de Mayo! XO
OMCs so many wonderful recipes today. I’m copy and pasting them into my doc file

Thank you. Happy Cinco de Mayo! XO
OOOOH! The mom does that with the scoops chips too! And sometimes she gives a couple of us little bites of cheese. Only a couple of us because the others have issues with cheese. Cocoa always wants a little lick of salsa because he loves tomatoes, but he only gets the spaghetti sauce stuff and not the salsa cuz it’s spicy and now we’re rambling so we’ll go. Have a great day!
Glad you get some cheese. 🙂 Happy Cinco de Mayo!
I like the term ‘sploop’. 🙂 Be well, my dear.
Thank you. 🙂
That sounds like an easy recipe. I’ll have to give it a try. Thanks.
You’re welcome. Happy Cinco de Mayo! XO
I love this idea! I will get the nachos and other ingredients when we go grocery shopping. Thanks Ellen.

Double cheese is good and she could add guacomole if she likes that. XO
The grands do something like this too. So easy and so tasty. We like the idea of scoops so that the fillings have a pocket to fill up.

A very flavorful recipe, and my cats would insist on sharing the cheese and sour cream. Hope you had a wonderful Cinco de Mayo!
Thank you. We did and hope you did too. 🙂
That seems to be a yummy-easy-peasy snack!! I would gobble it all up! And then nibble on the rest of the chips till they were gone :o)
I forgot to say, I like that sombrero! I think we have one similar to that…
Thank you. 🙂
MOL! 🙂
Charlee: “You are rocking that sombrero, Penny!”
Chaplin: “Ooh, you know what you could do? You could take the sombrero off and fill it with sour cream!”
Thank you. Good idea. 🙂
Now we want some nachos.
MOL! 🙂
You look adorable in your sombrero. And now I want some nachos! We buy the scoops too.

Those sound good! I have chives in my herb garden now so will have to try this!
They are good and fast. 🙂
