Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Hi everyone! Do you like my sombrero? We are joining In Purrsuit of Flavours hosted by Easy and The Canadian Cats.

I have an easy recipe for you for microwave nachos. First, you put some tortilla chips on a plate, mom uses Scoops, but you can use whatever kind you prefer. Then sploop some salsa on top of them.

After that, you add some shredded cheddar and some fresh chives. Microwave on high for 45 seconds ( might try 30 seconds and check on them in case your microwave is stronger than ours).

Then top with sour cream and enjoy. Don’t share with your pets though because chives and stuff in the salsa is not good for them.

Well, a taste of sour cream won’t hurt.

  1. Ooh, you look que bonita in your sombrero! And those nachos sure look muy delicioso! 🙂

Happy Cinco De Mayo, sweet friends!

    1. Thank you. I can’t wait to try some of your recipes. Happy Cinco de Mayo! XO

  2. My human is very excited because she gets to have Cinco de Mayo dinner with fellow vaccinated friends! Plus she is getting a pedicure, which she hasn’t had since Thanksgiving (when our city had temporarily loosened restrictions).

  3. I sent that recipe to Katie’s other brother over the mountains. He entertains a lot.

  4. I had some and they were very good. We love Mexican food.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  5. That sombrero looks pawsome on you and those nachos – yum! Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone.

  6. Oh Yum! Your nachos are so much easier to make than ours! We are going to use your recipe for the left over Salsa Verde though! We hope you have the best Cinco de Mayo! And Penny you look terrific in the sombrero and did you get to eat the sour cream? We LOVE sour cream!

    1. Thank you. I want to try your recipe for salsa verde. Yes, she got a taste of it and so did Sammy. XO

  7. OOOOH! The mom does that with the scoops chips too! And sometimes she gives a couple of us little bites of cheese. Only a couple of us because the others have issues with cheese. Cocoa always wants a little lick of salsa because he loves tomatoes, but he only gets the spaghetti sauce stuff and not the salsa cuz it’s spicy and now we’re rambling so we’ll go. Have a great day!

  8. Sploop..what a kewl werd Miss Ellen…..Ladymew iss gigglin here….Yore recipe soundss easy peasy…wee wuud have to substitute Salsa…LadyMew allergick…hmmm wee cuud dubble THE cheeze! 😉

    1. Double cheese is good and she could add guacomole if she likes that. XO

  9. The grands do something like this too. So easy and so tasty. We like the idea of scoops so that the fillings have a pocket to fill up.
