The A-Z Blogging Challenge- G

Hi everyone! Today we are up tot he letter G in The A-z Blogging Challenge. Back in 2016, I wrote about Grumpy Cat’s books, to read that post, click here.

Ghost Cats: Human Encounters with Feline Spirits by Dusty Rainbolt is my G for this year. I was eager to read it hoping it would give me comfort. I like proof that our past kitties are still with us.Β  This book did not provide me with the comfort I wanted. Most of the stories were so sad about how the cat departed that I just got depressed. Some stories were sweet, a beloved cat appearing one more time as if to say thank you. If you are not a big crybaby like me then you might enjoy it, but otherwise, I would have to say skip it.

  1. Well, we think we are big crybabies like you, Mom Ellen. So we’re going to pass on this one.

  2. Interesting. Never thought of that. Ghosts Cats… wonder if that’s true. Sure it could be possible. I’ve heard of dog ghosts before. They have Rainbow Bridge too. Stay healthy & stay safe.

  3. I am a big crybaby!!! But I do appreciate you taking the time to review it and do a post for it. I do feel like our ZCat (and our other 7) are still with us even if only in my heart!

  4. Good post on Grumpy Cat’s books:) I feel the same way about sad stories…don’t think I could read Ghost Cats.

  5. Ellen,

‘Ghost Cats’? Oh my that sounds spooky. I’m a big scaredy Cathy so I might have to forego reading this one. πŸ™‚ I got a kick out of your kitty wearing the little beanie sending wishes out to the Jewish community for a blessed Passover. Stay safe and healthy, my dear!

  6. Yeah. I don’t think I would fare better than you with this book. I struggle with any kind of pain or unhappiness in a cat.

  7. Sounds quite interesting πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»

Aww! cute pics and a Happy Passover to the Jewish community from me too πŸ™‚

    Stay safe 😷😷😷

  8. Thanks for the book review. I feel the same way about the Chicken Soup books–many stories leave me so sad.

  9. I don’t think I can read this one. At least not right now. It’s way too close to when I lost my Trudy.

  10. Thanks for the book review…I’ll pass!
I do believe that cats visit us from Heaven; both Chuck and Angel let us know that they came back.

  11. I believe that they are still with us too. There are signs here and there.

Happy Passover to all my Jewish friends.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. β™₯

  12. Sounds like one I should avoid. πŸ™‚ Be well, and thanks for all the kind words!

  13. We like stories about cats. Stories about how the cats departed…not so much.
    Cool challenge though πŸ™‚

  15. As I always, I really appreciate your honesty in your book reviews. This book sounds like it has some sweet stories, but I think I’ll pass on it to spare the heartache. Purrs!

Happy Passover to all those who celebrate it!

  16. This one would probably make me cry, so i will skip it, thanks. Hope you had a great Wednesday!

  17. We didn’t even know that the challenge was going on! That’s how out of it we are lately. We hope you all are safe.

    1. We are safe. I have been thinking of you in the epicenter and praying you stay safe. XO

  18. Sad books are for sure not what we need right now…sorry you were disappointed.
