Friendly Fill-Ins Week 199

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link ( see below) to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I know I am sick when _____________________.

2. For St. Patrick’s Day, I _________________________.
3. It’s been a long time since _________.
4. In order to _________, you have to ________.
My answers:
1. I know I am sick when I switch from coffee to tea.
2. For St. Patrick’s Day, I have Lucky Charms for breakfast. I call it the Polish way to celebrate St. Patty’s Day.
3. It’s been a long time since we went anywhere overnight. Five years actually, but we have no desire to leave the kitties that long now.
4. In order to succeed at anything, you have to put the time and effort into it.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

    1. Agreed. ~hugs~ And I hope you’re feeling better. This reminds me that I probably need a pneumonia vaccination. The only reason I gladly leave home for more than a few hours is to visit the Outer Banks. Too bad we couldn’t afford it last year, but at least we were home when Tilly’s health failed.

  1. Isn’t it a little early to start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day? You’re a dear blog friend, but I’m not Irish and I’m a Protestant who doesn’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. because I am not in the least Irish.
    ❤ Lauren

  2. Sweet Angels Phoebe and Prancie made a purrfect St. Paddy’s Day and your answers on the fill-inns are purrfect too, miss Ellen. Granny stays home with me too 😸Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞

  3. Love those Angel photos and “the wearing of the green”………St. Pat’s is one of our favorite holidays!

    Love, Teddy

  4. Angel Prancie and Angel Phoebe in the green ♥
I know I am sick when nothing much sounds good to eat.
For St. Patrick’s Day, I reflect on my Irish roots. A gift from my Mom’s side of the family.
It’s been a long time since my Mom has been gone. I miss her.
In order to stay peaceful in my mind I have to work at it.
    Thank you, Ellen 🙂

    1. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. I am sorry your mom is no longer with you though. I know you were close. XO

  6. Aw on the angels. So precious.

Love all your fill-ins. Thank you for co-hosting the fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches to all the kitties and my best to your wonderful mom. ♥

  7. Such fantastic fill-ins! I also love me a good warm tea when I’m sick. I’m quite partial to peppermint tea. And I am with you on #3. I don’t enjoy traveling, in large part because I much prefer being home with my furbabies. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere overnight in roughly 7 years. I don’t plan on spending the night away from home anytime soon. And I love your sweet angels all decked out for St. Patrick’s Day! Purrs to all of you!

  8. 1. I know I am sick when my level of ‘functioning’ dwindles to nothing…
    2. For St. Patrick’s Day, I try to wear something green, but sometimes I wear Orange!.
    3. It’s been a long time since I had influenza…actually over 30 years!! Hope it gets to be much longer than that, like never again!
    4. In order to achieve the ‘prize’ you have to really desire it and work hard to get it…but hopefully not at the expense of your health or the well being of others.

I enjoyed seeing your Angels wearing some greenery!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I hope you can avoid the flu and everything else. XO

  9. Adorable Irish Angels:) Mom prefers tea to coffee when her tummy is off too. But no matter which she is drinking, it HAS to be very hot!!!

    Woos, Lightning and Timber

  10. Lucky Charms – hee hee! That’s a good idea! I have to be really, really sick to give up my coffee. I don’t drink tea, I have never liked it. When I was a kid if I was sick our neighbor sometimes took care of me (my Mom worked) and she always made me drink tea! I was too shy to tell her I didn’t like it – LOL!

  11. We haven’t left for an overnighter for a long time either – and for the same reason. It drives my coworkers crazy as I work for an airline and can fly nearly anywhere in the world for free. Ah well, I did all of that when I was younger, now the kitties take priority.

  12. I don’t mind staying at home with the furbabies as well, it’s difficult to find good cover. And I like to be home!
Have a fabulous weekend, I hope you feel better!

  13. Angel Phoebe and Prancie looking great wearing their St. Patrick’s Day hats. We loved your friendly fill-in answers. Lucky charms are now on our minds now. It’s been a while since we had. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend.

  14. Always love seeing the angels, especially dressed so cutely. Exceptionally good filling in. We can no longer go anywhere because of Sawyer. I hope you and David are feeling better. If not, get well soon.

  15. I don’t like leaving our Lucy alone, so I either get a house sitter or she goes to a nice boarding place that caters to cats.

  16. Oh, Angel Phoebe and Angel Prancie…always so sweet to see photos of them!

We have the same problem with our cats. We actually have no idea who to leave them with where we are now should we choose to go away. I don’t trust their care to just anyone. They are our fur babies!

    1. Thank you 🙂 It would be hard to have fun when worrying about kitties at home. XO
