Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop
Trouble is thankful for high places to escape from Penny. For some reason Penny is mean to her so Penny can’t be in the same room with her unless we are home.
We are also joining Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt provided by Teddy’s mom.
All get into the photo please
just smile and say cheese.
We look more like rats,
but we are just meerkats.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I wish I could tell me teenage self ____________________________.
2. I think the most romantic movie is ___________________.
3. _________ was the last time I _________.
4. _________ happens too often.
We’re sorry Penny is mean to Trouble.
Cute poem. Meerkats are adorable.
The Florida Furkids
Thank you. XO
That’s sad that Penny and Trouble don’t get along.
It is sad.
CUTE POEM!!!!! They are a cute little bunch of creatures and have a tight little community (and keep warm by clumping up I guess!!!). Some of them definitely said “CHEESE” when they posted for this photo – especially that one in the middle. So sorry that Trouble has to go to the highest of highs to escape Penny but she looks quite happy up there in the sky!
Hugs, Teddy
Those meerkats are cute. XO
Sad to hear that Penny is mean to Trouble. I know it makes you sad, too. I guess we can’t always get along. Personality clashes happen even for us peeps. Boy do I know about that! The meerkats are cute looking little beings… enjoyed your poem. Good Morning!
I wish I could have Jackson Galaxy come help them get along. XO
Penny…don’t! That’s not nice.
She can be a meanie. XO
That is sad that Penny and Trouble don’t get along. I hope they settle their differences!
I hope they do too. XO
Ellen,
You might have to retort, if you don’t get along, I’ll send you to the cathouse! lol Cute poem. Got your blank statements for tomorrow’s post. See ya then, my friend. Thanks!
MOL! 🙂 I look forward to your fill-ins. XO
I’m sorry Penny is mean to you Trouble. Not nice at all.
I love the poem.
I’m all ready for Friendly Fill-ins. Thanks for co-hosting the fun.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
She can be a meanie. I look forward to your fill-ins.
Oh Trouble, don’t let Penny boss you around, you need to win her over with your charm. That was a cute poem. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you 🙂
Stand your ground, Trouble! Don’t let Penny push you around.
She doesn’t, she runs.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they all just got along?
Maybe try the reintroduce procedure? But, I know that you know what to do!
Meerkats are so wee, but so cute…
I will try reintroducing. XO
Maybe if Trouble had a less troublesome name there would be less trouble? Seriously though a reintroduction will help. Feliway works sometimes. Thanks for stopping by with your kind condolences for Clyde 🌈
A reintroduction is a good idea. I had no luck with Feliway. XO
I’m sorry Penny and Trouble don’t get along well. Glad Trouble has a safe place.
The photo and the poem are so cute 🙂
Thank you. XO
Trouble, sorry to hear that you have to hide from Penny.
She is a meanie.
We hope you both will respect each other soon, Penny and Trouble💗 For now thank cat for higer grounds 😸Lovely poem miss Ellen. Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday🐾😽💞
Thank you. XO
trouble, did ewe take sum oh penny’s….pennies 🙂 !! ♥♥
MOL! 🙂 Never. XO
Ellen you amaze me with how much you can say and the picture you can paint with just a few line!!
Well done
Hugs cecilia
Thank you. XO
We’re sorry they don’t get along. But our mom says that if Lexy and I finally learned to get along, any cats can! I’m not sure what she means about that.
Good point. XO
Wow who knew Penny was such a trouble maker for Trouble. We have Miss Fitz who whaps her boy toy Toby and the rest of us so Penny is in good company
Penny used to get along with Millie, an occasional whap, but nothing major. XO
Jackie didn’t get along with our first cat Micky either. This can be so nerve wracking.
Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
Yes, it is nerve wracking. Hope you had a nice day.
Aww…poor Trouble. I’m sorry they aren’t getting along.
Penny has a history of being a meanie, luckily she likes Rosie.
There used to be a show on TV about the adventures of some meercats. This was several years ago. We watched faithfully. Then it disappeared…what a shame….we loved it.
Your poems are always some of the best. They are short and to the point. You say it all so concisely.
Shoko
I never got to watch it, but I thought it was popular. Thank you. XO
There seems to be a lot of good advice in the comments about the Trouble/Penny problem, let us know if it works, I have the same issue at my place. In the meanwhile, enjoy your perch you beautiful Trouble!
Thank you. I will let you know. 🙂
Poor Trouble. Maybe Penny is just trying to warn you that Trouble can be trouble.
Love the poem!
Trouble is no trouble 🙂 Glad you like the poem. XO
Meerkats are just too cute for words!
I agree 🙂
I know exactly how Trouble feels. Only I can’t do what she does–escape to the top of the cat tree–because I can’t jump so well any more. So I have to hide or hope my mom is nearby to intervene when Ivan starts in on me.
We like the meerkats poem!
~Elliott.
Poor Elliott, that is awful. XO
Trouble, we think you and Penny should kiss and be friends.
I wish they would 🙂
Oh, Trouble, you gotta respect the older felines in the house. Especially the other ladies.
Trouble does, it is Penny that is a meanie.
Am I allowed to say, “Bad Penny”!
Sure 🙂
That’s a good place to keep watch, Trouble!
Yes, it is safe too.
So Penny likes Rosie, but not you, Trouble? Is she playing favorites? Not that we have the right to judge any of you on this matter. At our house, Eddy and Tonks can’t be in the same room, usually not even when I’m home. In a happier note, your poem is as wonderful as ever!
I can’t figure out kitty friendships.
That’s too bad that Penny is mean to Trouble! But I suppose when you have a lot of cats like you do, there are bound to be some conflicts. It looks like Trouble has a great and fun place to escape to!
Yes, we have different zones, it can be tough.
Charlee: “Whoa, Trouble, you ARE up very high there.”
Chaplin: “Highest-up cat wins. Sorry, Penny, you lose!”
MOL! 🙂
